  Ok. Both these answers make sense even if I find them to be really problematic.

So is it fair to say NS shippers are the only ones who cared about the pairing because it made sense based on the plot and logic of the manga?

Ofcouse it is. one part was voting for Naruto and Sakura, other part was reading a story, and didn't care about pairings, but clearly saw NS as endgame.

What's scary, that not all guys want to be "cool" guys like Sasuke, because behind mask, there can be nothing, just pure douchbags, good luck in saving those. I just hope that there is no stalker-chan wll cling on me.

Meh, Sasuke wasn't what I would call a "Bad-boy" until the chuunin exams went into effect. After that he went from being a stand-offish jerk into a nose dive and became a complete kitten.

I know. Though last year, there were plenty of rebellion moments, especially in gaming world. There were more and more of showing that girls in what guys would call "non-typical" activity rises equal if not more than guys. OH LOL. I've just finished watching it, and I was pretty much scratching my head the whole time. Girl should've whopped his ass. But nope she was all in love with him and stuff, a real masochist. 
He didn't try to kill her but he treated like a dog which tbh is quite insulting, even for a shoujo.

The girl, at first, was desperate for a boyfriend even went as far to just snap a photo of a random guy in the street. I agree, the story is really insulting for girls and women, the heroine was wagging her tail merrily skipping beside the guy who treats her like an anime.

I don't think it was just the seal...Him running into Itachi when he did factored into his fall, and he's been a jealous little rat since he was a kid the circumstances just multiplied that nasty behavioral trait into something much worse.

You know, as beautiful Ch.698 was, the things Sasuke said in that chapter out of all a sudden felt like a bad asspull to me. Being forced to listen to a few lines from Naruto b/c of the loss of their limbs was all it took to pull Sasuke back to the good side?! My brother and I literally thought to ourselves:"THAT'S IT?! That's all it took for Sauce to be converted?!"

I'm glad that I'm not alone, pretty much everyone here is "ch.698 is perfect", but to me it was... average at most. Couple a hours ago he wanted to start new war by himself, and now he turns out to be "I was jealous of your friends".

Aside from the fact that Sasuke got all the important lines in 698 and 699, the resolution to his fight with Naruto was really weak.

yeah and there was no sasunaru moment in 699 either. What canonized SS should've been SN instead.

Funny thing is I thought 698 was okay, yeah I feel it should've had a better resolution for converting Sasuke to the good side. Plus 699 should've been the chapter where Naruto monologues it would've made so much sense cause 698 sasuke's monologue and 699 Naruto monologue.I get a feeling that if The Last didn't happen or wasn't canon, we'd probably still have the chapters on going, say kaguya's fight ends (I say this cause we would've gotten her backstory and she would've been a better villian then what she was portrayed as) , and then comes Sasuke's face from 692 declaring his revolution and telling Naruto you're the only one left that's in my way. That closes off the year 2014 for Naruto and come this year the fight actually takes place, I'm always gonna say this but kaguya's fight should lasted 2 volumes (so 71-72) and the naruto vs Sasuke lasts 2 volumes (73-74). Things would've been more fleshed out as far as storytelling is concerned.

That don't even have sense. literally, there is no meaning for 700 chapter, it's not like Fairy Tail that have something about numbers,
