Plus, in his 'hollow' form, they've remarked before how Ichigo has high-level regeneration abilities.

He's going to need Zangetsu/Shirosaki's help in this one. That wound is too big for Orihime to heal in just a few moments, and I doubt Ishida can hold Ulquiorra on for more than a second. Ichigo's gonna live with some must sustained help from his inner world.
Though I do think Captain Unohana could step in..but that's just wishful thinking. Ichigo is going to defeat Ulquiorra one way or another.

I disagree. She doesn't heal, she restores and deletes a wound from ever happening. Bending reality...
Remember how she restored Grimmjow's arm? It didn't take her very long, so that hole shouldn't be any different as long as he's still alive.
While active, the barrier repels all negative events inflicted upon anything within the barrier.[20] No matter how extensive the damage may be (whether used on living beings or inanimate objects), the barrier can restore it to full working order, making it as if the object was never damaged in the first place.[21] It can even resurrect the dead.[22] The technique takes longer for more serious injuries, and large amounts of foreign spiritual pressure also make healing more difficult.
This power is insane!! I can't remember her ever resurrecting anything though... sauce on that?
Edit: Never mind finding source on the restoring people from the dead-thing. I found it!

The size of that hole compared to the one he has now is vastly different and severely more damaging. This time he fired a cero right into his chest. The amount of reiastu swirling in there is going to be way more than before. Its going to take a while to heal that before anyone can hold off Ulquiorra who I doubt will just stand there.

I agree. I was just about to state that fact. It would take MUCH longer to heal or "reject" that huge hole in his chest.

But don't forgrt, her shield has become stronger, so I imagine her ability to reject has become even stronger, and seeing Ichigo as he was blasted by Ulquiorra would allow her powers to shoot up I bet.
Personally, I would like to see a big battle where Ichigo just wins with his own power again, like when he fought Grimmjow and beat him just with his power since his mask was practically gone. But I doubt THAT is gonna ever happen again. =/ Dammit.

This is the second time he's been killed by Ulquiorra and not even once in this fight has Ichigo gained some decent ground, this really doesn't offer any plausibility to the image of Ichigo ever coming close to winning. Of course all depending on the writer, from the looks of things it doesn't seem like Kubo is intending Ichigo to win though. Then on the other hand what the hell is going to happen if he doesn't win? I have to say I'm torn, it doesn't seem like Kubo to make Ichigo lose (especially by such a large margin), but its pretty much impossible for him to even survive now. Ulquiorra looks cool though.
(And wtf at Hitsugaya winning the poll? His zanpaktou isn't even original)

True. Very true. But I really don't think that's gonna happen.
And I would also like to see him win with his own power. I hate it when he has really on someone else to come save him or something like that. But at this point it really looks like Ichigo is not gonna win this fight. I mean right now he's dead. (come on. A HUGE hole in the chest and your gonna live? I don't think so)

I have no idea what's gonna happen next. But I can't wait to read next weeks.

He is capable of regeneration abilities as noted during his Vizard training and fight against Kenpachi when Zangetsu healed his wound.
Ulquiorra's original purpose was to crush Ichigo's resolve but after continuous times when Ichigo refused, Ulquiorra grew frustrated and just finished him off with a cero to the chest (which is his trademark). That hole is way too big to be healed in time by anyone unless Ichigo gets a boost from his inner world to heal the wound and learn a new move while he's at it.

I agree with that completely. I just don't like the idea of someone else coming to save him like Ishida or any Captain. That's what I meat to say. Sorry for any misunderstandings.

That'd be kind of cool, like hollow armor or something.

I think he might be too. Cause he said nobody else reached that second transformation level but him. And he hasnt even show that to Aizen. Ichigo is kinda f***** right now. Unless something amazing happens.
