Be happy with him as I was when he played for Mizzou. He's a kick ass WR.

I actually think he fits in better than Crabtree would have.

speaking of which

Surprised me

And for Sir Wirly

LOL FAIL @ BUCS LOGO

EDIT: They fixed it now. But it was a bucs logo and then they took it down

Hes a Good Player who can be an Elite Tackle in the NFL if he plays to his potential, so I like the trade as we have gotten younger at both tackles. And the Addition Of Leonard Weaver from Seattle gives Philly A True Fullback who has some decent ability for his position in the Running and Passing Game.

I dont think they should trade their remaining !st RD pick for Boldin, I'd rather see them get a Running Back preferably Knowshon Moreno from Georgia or Chris Wells from Ohio State. Lesean Mcoy from Pittsburgh is also an option. Not to Mention TE Brandon Pettigrew from OKlahoma State though he may not be available at that point.

whaadya know, Eagles go to the skill positions in the first two rounds, good value for Maclin

at least I got that right, hopefully he can spell Westbrook and keep him fresh, though he may be his eventual replacement. iGoof draft so far, I would like to draft a Tight End, we'll see.

and one more thing

WRONG EA laugh.gif

they took this off their website, and put him with the Seahawks now but I grabbed it before it was gone.

Hmmm, Chris "Beanie" Wells. Could be a nice one-two punch with him and Tim Hightower. Let's see how it pans out.

Allow me to start with this.

Al Davis: err.gif :teehee:    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heyward-Bey in the first and some guy with no film in the second? Oh Al, the NFL would be a darker place when you leave.
But the Raiders would be a damn sight better, that's for sure.

Josh McDaniels is my new best friend. What's that, you'll give Seattle your 1st next year for our 2nd this year? A first that may end up being a top 5 or 10 pick because you can't draft for squat (psst Josh, you can have 20 DB on the field, but if there's no pass rush it won't matter)? Yesplz.

Aaron Curry was not only the Best Player Available at 4 (thanks KC!), but an incredibly decent human being. http://atl.scout.com/2/856552.html The only concern I had about taking him was putting so much money into one position (LB), but when you're in position to take the BPA and you have no incredibly pressing needs, you take him.

I thought the Iggles did really well, thought the Browns should've gotten more than what they did for the Sanchez pick, and felt the Lions fell down after taking Stafford. You don't address your O-line with your next two picks? Somewhere, David Carr is crying into an umbrella-decorated beverage.

laugh.gif how did i forget that? Heyward-Bey better be something, otherwise another failure to the greatest owner in all sports biggrin.gif

I really like the curry pick, many had him as the best player in the draft, and I can see why, strong LB corps in seattle.

and now that Farve is gone Mark Sanchez will take his shot at Jets QB, the Jets fan went apesh** over him, they probably thought they just won the super bowl.

not to mention they drafted a RB after signing 3 free agent backs, they coulve gotten orakpo, bad start for the Mcdaniels era, Cutler gone, next years first gone, and they fail to adress their weakness on defense.

I thought they shouldve went line also, but QB puts butts in the seats though Dante Culpepper will be the starter at the beginning of the season.

One of the excuses is "they didn't think Crabtree is worth 7th pick money"

But Hayward Bey is?

Now for the rest of his career they will compare him to Crabtree and see how he measures up.

I like the Lions' picks, they have great potential on offense. They were able to get Stafford and Pettigrew, and they already have Calvin Johnson and Kevin Smith. All young talented athletes. They may never have a chance to get picks like that again, so the o-line can wait a year. It's not like they're contenders right now.

Well, I'm glad the Dolphins addressed one of their biggest needs on Day 1 at CB. Although Vontae Davis' cockiness annoys and concerns me...I hope he gets down to Earth before the preseason. Sean Smith looks like he'll help out too.

As for Pat White, that was an interesting pick. He seems to be a project, I think he'll be put in as a WR to see what he can do. We already have our top two QB slots locked up, #2 is too high of a pick to deliberately draft a third-string QB. So he'll probably work as either a receiver or a step in for the Wildcat, or both. He certainly opens up some opportunities though.

We also just drafted Patrick Turner, which is great, since we need some WRs. So far, I'm not extremely disappointed in the draft, but I'm not extremely impressed either...our first round pick needs to prove more to me than the others do. Overall though, not bad.

EDIT: I'm a little disappointed we didn't pick up any linebackers. Hopefully we can find a gem in the later rounds. The Dolphins have 7 picks in the last five rounds, which is great, I love having a lot of picks in the later rounds. There's always a gem there...last year we got a good O-Lineman in Donald Thomas in the 6th round, even though he was injured. He was very good. Hopefully we can get an OLB, a NT, maybe another WR and some depth in the O-Line as well, I think its important that the Dolphins have some good guys to back up the solid O-Line we have right now. I'm excited to see the depth we find in the later rounds.

Wanna see the Madden Player Ratings for your team's draft picks? EA has put up a file containing most of the Drafted Players, but dont expect a 7th round player to be there though.

Side note- I think the Cowboys had a bad omen the other day. Damn training facility collapsed around them, paralyzing one of their staff. Oh well.

And thus the Brad Childress Coaching Hot Seat Meter can officially be turned on. He had to be thinking that Sage RosenCHOPPA was good enough at QB to get them to the Super Bowl.*

Then the Bears got Cutler. Cue Childress thinking, "OH SHI-"

*He was one of... what, five who thought that?

Favre to stay retired
QUOTE
Source: Favre rebuffs Vikings, will stay retired

By Rick Schwartz 39 minutes ago
The Minnesota Vikings will not sign free-agent quarterback Brett Favre(notes), a source close to the team told Yahoo! Sports on Thursday.

The source said Favre told Vikings coach Brad Childress that he wanted to remain retired in a phone call that took place sometime in the last day. Favre is expected to publicly explain his decision soon.

Favre, who announced his first retirement in March 2008 after spending 16 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, decided to resume his career last summer and was traded to the New York Jets in August. After one season in New York, Favre retired again and was subsequently released by the Jets on April 29.

Just days after his release from the Jets, speculation began that the Vikings were interested in bringing in a veteran to compete with Sage Rosenfels(notes), who was acquired this offseason from the Houston Texans. Rosenfels is atop the depth chart heading into training camp, with Tarvaris Jackson and John David Booty(notes) also on the roster.

that ends the drama, for now anyway

JT rejoining the Dolphins!

I'm very psyched. Now we have a good passrusher other than Joey Porter, and even if he doesn't produce like he used to, he can still mentor some of the younger guys like Cameron Wake. I love it! And for only 1.5 Million too!
