Oh, I just realised another manga moment about the hugs.

At the first Chuunin Exam, Ino glomps Sasuke. He doesn't push her off, just keeps his arms pinned to his sides with a slightly annoyed look on his face. That sort of weakens the S***S***'s argument that he didn't push Sakura off himself. He also sees Sakura as a friend, and friends don't push each other away - if he did that it would have been really cold even for him. He doesn't love Sakura but he won't hurt her intentionally (well, asides from when he put her down before the Chuunin Exam and when he knocked her out).

I agree with Faucon. Ever since 109 aired, we have been getting quite a few new members in the NaruSaku FC at NarutoForums. I think we got six or so in just a few days? It seems that many Naruto fans are more influenced by the anime than the manga.

EDIT: Aethos, I am so familiar with that stuff. Sometimes it looks like they're using religious language.

"Sakura shall save Sasuke from the darkness!"
"Sakura is the light!"
"Sasuke shall find redemption!"

Now, while I agree that it is possible for Sasuke to find redemption and rejoin Naruto and Sakura, I disagree on their point that he will find love with Sakura. Because many avengers already loved their girls BEFORE they went off on their avenging, or during it.

They always seem to forget our point that Sasuke has not yet been shown to have deep feelings for Sakura. They just can't prove he feels anything more than friendship/comradeship.

I wonder if some new character appears and actually loves Sasuke and he loves her back, will the S***S*** suddently collapse and been the Sas/Something FC? umm since by the looks of it, they love so much that Fc because they love Sasuke or They love Sakura

I honestly don't think that Sasuke is going to survive to the end of the series...I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if he did manage to live, but...I wouldn't be surprised if he died, either. The way I see it, his purpose was to create the necessary tension to move the story along, and that's all. He's basically done his job, and quite well, I must say.

And all that crap about Sakura redeeming Sasuke...ugh. It makes me physically ILL. The only person who can redeem Sasuke is Sasuke. One of the hardest facts of life is that we can only do so much, but then we need to step back. Someone cannot be helped if they do not WANT to be, no matter how much the other person tries. I know this from experience. I'm not saying that the person in question cannot be INFLUENCED, but only he or she can make the necessary changes themselves. Right now, Sasuke is so bent on revenge that he refuses to acknowledge anything else. He has closed his heart to all of the ties that he had in Konoha and is moving with a singular purpose. It is HIS revenge, and HIS task.

As I've said many times before, I truly believe that Itachi was merely the catalyst that triggered Sasuke's transformation. His lust for power overshadows his original intent, even though he continues to tell himself that Itachi is the reason why he is doing what he is. To me, Itachi is a sort of scapegoat. Perhaps I'm taking things too far, but this is how I see it. The seed was already there, and Itachi merely tilled it, so to speak.

Only Sasuke can bring himself back from the darkness, and at the point we left the main story, he was only digging himself deeper. Separately, Sakura and Naruto did all they could, but it was not enough to slap some sense into him. Sakura's declaration of love and Naruto's sense of brotherhood could not even stop him.

Sasuke had already sown the seeds of revenge in his heart - even before Orochimaru made his presence known. Itachi's re-emergence and Orochimaru's offer of power only served to make that need for vengeance consume his heart.

The S***S***s are living in a fairytale land if they think Sakura can magically change Sasuke and make him fall in love with her. She already tried, and the results can clearly be seen in Chapter 181. Even as Sasuke and Naruto fought, Sasuke said "I already told Sakura this; Go home."

As far as I can tell from the manga, he does not truly regret leaving Sakura and Naruto behind. He only regrets almost killing Naruto. He planned to sever the bonds to gain even more strength for his ultimate objective.

Killing Itachi.

Really, I think the S***S*** FC are just mainly Sasuke lovers. Because they like how he was "cool" and angsty. They always try to justify Sasuke's actions and think that he will turn good again and everything will be peachy. As for Sakura fans, well, they are all divided up. If they like Sasuke, then they can tend to be SasuSaku (though there are exceptions who like NaruSaku), and others are usually split between Neji, Naruto, Kakashi and Lee.

But there is one thing that is certain about the former Team 7. Things will never be the same again. Even if Sasuke returned to the Leaf, the bonds he once shared with Naruto and Sakura will never be the same. There is no escaping that fact. It would take a lot of time to even begin to repair those bonds after the way he betrayed them for power.

Wow, in the S***S*** Fc , there was a reply saying that in the episode that is 183 in the manga, he says that it's the episode that Naruto's chance are crushed by Sakura but if he saw the flashback with Sakura, you know that Sakura now knows that Naruto understands her but they seems to think otherwise.

They just saw what shown in the picture and they conclude that the it's over.

Aethos, I could write a comment in response to that, but it would be pretty much be unprintable.

I mean, I just cannot believe how the S***S*** jump to conclusions with little or no evidence. It's like they're watching a completely different anime! Have any of them EVER been in an ACTUAL love relationship (one that is not just a shallow crush)?

If Sakura could not live without Sasuke, please explain why she was trying to drop the promise in Chapter 236. Please explain why she wanted to see Naruto before even considering seeing Sasuke.

Sakura was only encouraged to try and train harder by Naruto. Naruto said he would not go back on his word and that he would keep trying to get Sasuke back for her. Not completely for her, since Sasuke is his "brother", but he made that promise again. Seeing that he would keep his word, and looking at those wounds he had, Sakura made her decision to train as a medic-nin so she could try to keep him safe.

Of course, most of the S***S*** never get the hints, no matter how much you explain it to them. Sigh, I miss the days when they had better debaters like Sakura_chan... At least she was smart enough not to jump to stupid conclusions.

Also, it amazes me how they see Sasuke's rejection in 181 as love and the Sakura realisation in 183 as Naruto's rejection. How bloody twisted is their view of the manga? They've twisted the story so much to try and fit their view they no longer know which way is up.

Yeah, Naruto is a stubborn guy. He also has a real empathy with Sakura.

It really does make me laugh how they claim NaruSaku doesn't work when in fact it has been getting stronger throughout the manga, while S***S*** weakened and eventually broke down in 181.

You know, we can be very content in that the manga actually supports what we have seen so far. We haven't needed to really twist anything around, and we don't try to present irrelevant moments as concrete evidence. Our "evidence" fits neatly in the manga timeline, and we have had a lot of neutrals support NaruSaku and see S***S*** as dead (such as occassionalutopia and Sabaku no Ira).

S***S*** is certainly taking its time in the Denial stage.

OMG, Sakura's slowly realizing that she loves Naruto! They're gonna grow up and have babies because in 183 she realized that Naruto is always there for her!! And she smirked the time she saw Naruto return with Tsunade! And because... <insert many, many more NaruSaku moments here>

Hmm, at least that makes more sense than "OMG, Sasuke has declared his love for Sakura in 181 because... because... he just did! And Sakura has rejected Naruto!!!1!1!1! What else...? He and Sakura hugged one time! And... um... many more...?

Yup, it doesn't work if I try to say NaruSaku things in a stupid way.

Well since the anime version of that scene is out today, we will see what the S***S*** or neutral side will say about that scene in 183 of NaruSaku.

Let's just hope that they arent as clueless as catching hints as the manga fanatics

Hehe, I was quite happy with Episode 110-111 today. It made the NaruSaku scene crystal clear, and now I know 100% that Sakura was realising that Naruto always knew how she felt and the pain of not having someone love you back.

It was pretty interesting seeing a couple of reactions I missed in the manga, and the animators did an excellent job of showing the emotions!

Blayze, I think there are five stages of death/grief. Denial is the first one! They're certainly taking their time. The rest are:

Anger
Bargaining
Depression
Acceptance

I think they're showing a bit of Anger, judging by how they always attack us in their thread.

Like Faucon, I cannot believe how the S***S*** see the NaruSaku scene as the end of NaruSaku... Everyone knows that it's a major development in Sakura's view of Naruto.

Here's a shot-by-shot analysis I made of the moment. No moonlight or colour scheme crap. Just what you see. We're also too smart to jump to rash conclusions of "OMG, SAKURA LOVES NARUTO!!!111!!"

lol Nice analysis there, you can cleary see that Sakura was shocked that Naruto understands her pain and she realize that Naruto isnit just a brat anymore that always bother Sakura like she thinks.

Yep, ever since that moment, Sakura has seemed to treat Naruto with a real softness - as we saw in 236. It can only be good. Naruto still loves Sakura as far as we see, there has been nothing to show his feelings are weakening. There's a big difference between trying to accept your love will love someone else, and actually giving up on your feelings.

Well the relation with NaruSaku only needs time since we see all the change since the start of the show till now and we see that they talk to each other more and more normally lol

Problem is that some people actually believe that Sakura will say like what she was FOREVER and something about Naruto letting Sakura even thought Naruto never gave up on ANYTHING, it's his way of the ninja hehe

Let's just hope that some people will realized that something is changed or they will stay with what they thought since the beginning like the S***S***... they refuse to see the truth and be blinded... blah

ROFL!! You should see the S***S*** club, they are still clinging in episode 109. I mean, is that the only thing they got to prove something? atleast IMO not even 109 is a good excuse for S***S*** happening.

With this current episode (special) we see that Narusaku will grow eventually. Naruto left Sakura thinking and after realizing after all this time what the real Naruto would do to her. I think is just a matter of time 'til we see more development between those two.
