I do got to say the first episode as pretty good..  the only thing that kinda took me out of the episode was the CG chains, but that was it. 

 

 

Also given how the manga opens up, I think Perriot made a smart call in not animating that portion otherwise it would've really looked like a Naruto ripped off.  The small attention to details from certain characters and povs actually did make it better. 

 

So I'll give Perriot that when it comes to adapting Episode 1. 

 

 

Also I think instead of doing reviews for Black Clover I'll probably do like biweekly livestream (two episode discussions) with my buddy J via Google Hangouts on air similar to what we did with Fairy Tail and with Yu-Gi-Oh! Vrains right now. 

 

Which means Next week, that's gonna happen.

I think it's more likely that they did not want to animate the beginning because the OVA covered it already anyway I hope next week they finish chapter 1 and 2 since I want to get the the part where Asta joins the Black Bulls quickly :D

Finished watching Episode 2, and I got to say I really liked what SP did when it came to adapting the remaining bits of the first chapter.

Yeah but it really killed the pacing of the season already since apparently Like BnHA this will be seasonal. Only 13 episodes so that is going to be disappointing in terms of filling in content :mellow: And Again I want to see Noelle  asap so it can be established when she falls for  Asta sooner :excited:  :hehehe:  :yes:

I'm grateful that it will be seasonal since that means that we won't see any potential filler padding.


Light and Shadow are the only static creations of this universe.

F%^&! okay we're going alternate story here. Mhmm. Well yup there is a chance they will RUIN it now! :twitch: UNLESS they are following the story for all 50 episodes which actually is fine by me since the manga has enough chapters for 50 episodes. maybe to cover the first 100 chapters even if they add in fillers
