I can definitely see what's in Kishimoto's mind right now:

Kishi: "Ok, it's time to kill SasuSaku for good, let's make Kakashi hint that Sakura's feelings for sasuke are now platonic"

SS reaction: " kyah, Sakura definitely loves Sasuke more now, her love has evolved and it's stronger than ever "

Kishi: "uh? Maybe I was too subtle, ok let's make Sakura acknowledge and say directly that Sasuke doesn't care about her"

SS reaction: "Kyaah, Sakura definitely loves Sasuke, she cares he doesn't care, uuuh Sassaku true love, canon for sure "

Kishi: " Ehi, what's wrong with these people? Ok, let's show SS is dead from Sasuke's POV, let's make Sasuke act rude towards Sakura and diminish her abilities"

SS reaction: "Sasuke really loves her, he doesn't want her to go outside and get caught in the Tsukuyomi, he also rushes to save her with Susano'o (ignore Naruto and Kakashi), Sassaku canon! Sassaku true love!" 

Kishi: "Are they kidding me? Ok, now I'm stopping being subtle, I will have Sasuke say blatantly he doesn't give a kitten about Sakura's life and that she saved her just because she was near Naruto!"

SS reaction: "lalalala I'm not listening!!! (single out just two-three panels in the whole chapter, ignore the rest) Sasuke is just being a tsundere, he loves her! Sassaku true canon love!" 

Kishi: "...............................sweet mother of God"

 

 

Haha, what will he do next chapter then? Just hope if he really went this road, he'll stop making Sakura the one who always get's bashed in some way :( No more sad Sakura pls.

You'll see Sasuke next chap will save his cherry blossom princes Sasuke in reality is a Tsunder he just has a hard time acknowledging his real feelings for his Sakura chan but deep deep deep deep deep deep deep deep deep down he really loves her .   

 

ASS aside this is just a slow build up for Sakura doing something badaas  Kishi has been doing slow build up this entire war i know its irritating but just go with the flow , once the Kage arrives then the real fight and teamwork will begin because Sasuke's douchiness is preventing them from doing that and Naruto had to realize this now that this is clear it won't be to long before everyone are involved in this i predict this will happen about  2 or 3 chap max 4 so we have to be just a little bit more patient  .

IMO, Sasuke does not care because he stills puts goals before comrades. It has nothing to do with Sakura personally. He'll realize the true meaning of camaradery after Naruto enlightens him during their fight. But if SS thinks he does care, it is only bad for them. So this is how Sasuke treats Sakura when he cares?  It's so harmful. x(

I don't even want anymore anti SS moment, it only hurts Sakura's character, screw SS fans. I also don't want NS moments, cause they don't help Sakura's character atm. I just want Pro Sakura moments. We can put the pairing drama aside for a whole volume for all I care, as long as Sakura shines.

Don't know. Best to wait on the actual volume release.

Well the thing is to establish in character that Team 7 isn't there because Sasuke isn't. We all know that, just not Naruto. We don't really have anymore left to cause drama unless Kishi wants to repeat by Naruto dropping Sakura and Kakashi, Sasuke saving Naruto, and save them again. Again, we got a full circle, so things are going to focus on actions with words here and there. Not much left to cover, so time will tell what's in store. I say wait until all are here.

The idea of an infiltration and espionage mission behind Kaguya's back sounds very Kakashi-esque. Team 7 is at a huge disadvantage right now. They're outgunned, information about their enemy is scarce, the possibility of reinforcements is looking slim at the moment (zombie Hokages notwithstanding), and they're fighting in an inhospitable landscape. If Kakashi and Sakura were able to use this skirmish to their advantage and sneak way, possibly through the use of some ninja tools and a few jutsu (clones and transformation to make it appear like they're still with Naruto and Sasuke), they could make their way to the structure dug in the side of the volcano out in the distance. Once inside, they comb the building until every nook and cranny has been searched for anything that might be of value. After their mission is complete, they can either escape in a covert fashion or destroy the building and deny its use to the enemy.

You could make an argument for Shikamaru's tactical genius proving to have enormous value that rivals what Sakura's done. He's definitely the most proactive of the Rookies since the manga began (he presided over the squad that was sent to rescue Sasuke from Orochimaru during SRA and he's acted as a commanding officer in the current war). The others? Probably not.

The idea that Sasuke cares about Kakashi and Sakura is absurd, yet SS fans insist he does.  I just don't understand it. The only one he arguably cares about "deep down" is Naruto, but SS fans everywhere are saying SS will be canon and Sasuke cares for Sakura so much. How can fans understand a character so badly? I'm just ... are they reading too much fanfiction or what?

 

I made a whole post about it on tumblr about Sasuke not caring. I'm just tired of the kitten people are saying when it's so, so obvious it's wrong. I shouldn't even have to point out, but the SS shippers .... the SS shippers.
