It has to be said, compared to how he treated Karin, he is far more rude and dismissive about Team 7 than he was with Team Taka. Maybe it's my distaste for the team which colours my perception, but if Team 7 is supposed to be so thematically important, and if we're supposed to take it seriously, the fact that Sasuke has distanced himself so much that I swear even Juugo was treated with more empathy than our main female lead, just feels really off. He doesn't have to be romantically interested in her at all, I don't want him to be, but I'd prefer if he at least showed he cared on some level, at least enough to show her some respect instead of this disdain.

Perhaps it's because he actually needed them for something, while Kakashi and Sakura are, yeah, pretty much useless (at least at that moment).

They also haven't gone up against an enemy that is of that calibre before, and both Kakashi and Sakura (at least they SHOULD BE) are far stronger assets than Team Taka unless Karin's sudden chain upgrade would have been of help. Honestly, all he needed to do was say what was going on--he didn't have to be like "what does it matter to you?" because as I pointed out, Naruto--someone who is 'useful'--is right there, and as Naruto pointed out Kakashi and Sakura could help with the creation of a plan. He's just being a jerk IMO, there's no reason to be so dismissive. It's not like they're in the middle of anything. They should be discussing their game plan. If it was like "you have to stay back because you can't do anything let Naruto and I handle this" that'd be different. Sakura just asked a question which he wasted time putting her down about.

Oh no, I agree with you. There was no need to disparage her like that, it was uncalled for. He should have just said answered her question right away because he did later, and yeah, both Kakashi and Sakura can help create a plan. I was just saying that maybe that's why he didn't treat Taka quite as bad, because they were useful to him and here, Sasuke thinks Sakura and Kakashi can't do anything. Plus I guess cause this is a set-up, for Sakura's growth and also for later, when Naruto will change him or whatever and he'll accept his team and all.

I gotta say, it's pretty messed up for Kishi to not satisfying SS when dream is the only option. It's like he's saying, "I have satisfied all the fandoms. SS, no, that will burn to hell." Unless Kishi do a quick one on Sakura and then toss her out there, then have NS the only canon one that's not, words from Naruto, "all a huge lie!"

There was enough SS in part 1 now that it's officially dead there's no need for more ASS moments I'd prefer it if Kishi moved on to pro NS stuff

It's like he's trying to hammer in and spell out for all the SS fans that they just aren't right for each other.

This is an interesting point. Didn't Obito need Zetsu to live? If so, he's going to die very soon. If not, this makes me wonder what's the plan for him in here. We'll see soon, though I can imagine Kakashi or Naruto wanting to take the body away from the enemy and see the condition. I mean he can be useful right now if awake and able to go.

 

That was before Black Zetsu became Yin Kurama's jinchuuriki and had him transferred to Naruto.  By all accounts, both Black Zetus and Obito should be dead by now, since they were linked.  I always thought Naruto did that hand thing to save Obito, before he used it on Guy, though he also saved Black Zetsu in extension, and that's why they both are still currently alive.  Even if Black Zetsu leaves him, Obito should still be alive.

From the opposite viewpoint, SS is actually the lucky one, since fans of the ship won't get any ideas of false hope, only to have it squashed.  Sometimes, I wonder if Kishimoto holds a grudge on Hinata fans, because no matter how many times I look at it the Hinata trip seems more like a "take that" to them more than anything else.

^ Not exactly, because we don't know whether the transfer of Yin Kurama to Black Zetsu didn't save him.  No reason a life taking jutsu and Bijuu extraction can't be considered the same thing as both kill the person.  When Obito transfered Yin Kurama to Naruto he essentially put him back in the same position, but Naruto could have stopped it with his new powers, as seen with Guy.  It's a possible explanation to why both him and Black Zetsu are still alive after the extraction, because they both should have died.

You could make the argument that BZ was the host and not Obito since it was his body that absorbed it.

Not to mention BZ isn't human so the extraction and transfer work differently with him.

Hard to say for Obito because why Obito is still weak like hell. On the other hand, you could argue that Naruto's new power didn't heal him, just save him, so maybe that's why he was still weak when asking Sakura to kill him. So...Hm...also Black Zetsu isn't a person. I mean he wasn't effect by the moon eye plan, so he can outlive it from extraction. Was Black Zetsu a Jinchuuriki?

Some Anti-SasuSaku this chapter. Nice~  Although I wish Sakura would have stood up for herself a little. She still seems overwhelmed by Sasuke, which is something I want KIshi to fix.
 

NaruHina is shown through Hinata's dream which I knew it would be. I enjoyed the others though. lol Ino.

 

 

I believe he will and I hope he doesn't disappoint me. Kishi did the double-edged sword effect on Sakura. On one side he foreshadowed an event that will lead Sakura to not only prove Sasuke wrong, but to actually stand up for herself. But on the other side, Kishi created that foreshadow at the cost of making Sakura look like a bullied victim who just got verbally abused.

 

I will be in rage mode if Kishi does not follow up on what he just laid out. This will be one of Sakura's biggest character development if she finally overcomes this douchebags disrespect. It'd be a bonus if she's able to get a few jabs in the process.

Once again, to Harrye, "Kun" doesn't mean you're lovers. "Chan" has more crediblilty than that. Hell, even in SD referenced it. I will give you this, that's true that he did have Sakura saying "San" but ok.

Man, I'm starting to think this would be worst place to learn suffix...

 

I know Kun, Chan is not meant exclusively for lovers, But I always see -San as a respectful, not as personal suffix, Like a friend who is more an aquintance than someone you are really close to, where I see using -kun or no suffix as something more personal, something you'd use for someone for a close friend and someone you feel comfortable around...also for those younger than you.

 

I know that isn't always the case, some people don't ever feel comfortable calling others anything other than -san or something equally respectful, but Sakura isn't one of them.

I don't think any of it matters. It's probably that Lee is just used to Sakura calling him Lee-san so he doesn't imagine anything different.

 

I don't think Lee goes imagining the day Sakura stops using -san on him, that just happens naturally. It could even happen after you're already in the relationship.

 

Besides, in Lee's dream Sakura was clearly fawning over him and saying "I love you". To pretend Lee is imagining her a just a friend is ridiculous.
