As Naruto and Hinata have a bigger focus here than even Neji, I'd say that its one of the more important scenes. There's no reason for Kishi to show the cover like that otherwise. Here, the handholding is in fact given bigger emphasis than Neji, and in essence his death.

EXACTLY. The only thing I'll complain about here is that it's more important than Neji's death. The guy died for her, and she's thinking of Naruto's hand a second later. I mean come on, show some respect. I really don't want this to turn into DBZ, but Neji needs to come back to life so he can have a bigger impact than THAT (Especially on Hinata). Or at least a chapter devoted to this character. That is all I ask for.

It's just...
No.
So I don't think that this cover symbolizes NH.
It symbolized Neji / his memory. Maybe beause clearly Hinata didn't do that.

First of all, of course he was.

That entire scene, outside of Hinata's feelings (of course), was about Neji sacrificing for everyone and everyone else putting their faith in Naruto plus getting power from a close friend's death. For Hinata, it somehow became about how big and strong and protective Naruto is and *SQUEALSQUEALSQUEEEE*. That is the problem. She forgot about Neji's sacrifice. Her love is borderline obsessive and clearly becoming destructive within. It sure helps her, but like people have said before, she doesn't truly know Naruto. If you have any idea what love is, you can't call it love if you don't really know the person you have it for.
^^ what? What happened between them? Did you get all that about support over love? Obviously not. This being Shounen doesn't justify kitten. Romance is obviously a part of this. Come on, how fair would it be if Naruto DIDN'T hold her hand after that? You can't just make statements like that and ignore all that has happened before. No, nothing happened to show the 'close' relationship between Hinata and Naruto ever before but it did for Sakura and Naruto. It's been milked to death and I'm getting sick of rehashing old points. Just read the debate thread.
EDIT
LOL did he just delete the post? Nice.

Only problem is that the story is about naruto not hinata so its not really important what hinata feels or wants.
Edit:
There was just a NH focused post before mine. Where did it go??

Right now, it's about NH vs. NS. If you end NS, it will be obvious and the protagonist love aspect is complete. If you end NH, while it's obvious for many of us, it's not "obvious" to general audience, so they will see fit to see NS vs. SS. Right now, it's do or die.

I really would like to think NH is canon so I can be sure the romance subplot is resolved but I can't see it, it's a possibility like NS. I think shippers from all sides will jump at any hint or ambiguousity to statz their pairing is canon but truth of the matter nothing is and only time will tell. At this point i just want an answer no matter the outcome and so far all I see is Kishi playing the same old game.

Hinata on the other hand, is pretty much what Naruto needs, a partner and a great idealist like he is, Sakura is pragmatic and fickle just like the other characters who oppose Naruto's philsophy, her logic and her basis of understanding concept make her less understanding of a vision Naruto seeks and will seek out. NS also unlike NH has no balance, charisma, trust or faith it's all smokes and mirrors. Sakura and Naruto have more panel time but they always never seek out each other for a personal conflict they hide there feelings and dwell on the past tense especially involving Sasuke. So it's like a one night stand for shot term couples.
I see the fans as fair though, I won't judge there preference in the couple but alot of fans think just because Naruto and Sakura are close and undoubtly one of the manga's best dynamics means they have to fall in love or force Sakura to fall in love with Naruto.

Sigh* I..... I just don't understand sometimes i really don't

Yeah which is fine if they want a friendly debate. The problem is the handful that join just so they can troll and ruin it for everyone else. Even if our fan base wanted to brush off this cover and remain positive about it you have those that seek to destroy that mindset. That is why we have multiple pages of discussion in regard to a silly cover.

Um, and how many covers has Hinata been on vs Sakura? Is Hinata really that threatening?

it's just lately whenever hinata does come on she seems to do something really cool >:u.......like that confession....and that speech.......

Member yesterday many members behave a terrible way against a friendly NH fan, but that still does not erase all the harassment many of the NS fans goes trough to a point where they are tired of hearing the opposing fandom, not because difference opinion since everyone has different taste and see things differently. This irritation is more about how some fans can be very rude towards others.
Now NS fans need to take a bullet to the head, sadly this is not the worst thing I ever hear.

I know. To me, one pairing will die here and when it happens, it will be obvious from that point on. I just hope there's isn't too much confusion of who's going whom. Luckily, for now, Sasuke being the opposing side does lessen the chance for many mushy stuff, unlike NH, they're in the same side. So yeah, it will be resolved in this next battle phase in my opinion.
Apparently it is. Sigh. I told you. NH is the main threat and no one here wants to admit it.

That's what I feel too, the next phase of this battle up to the end of this fight will resolve one pairing once and for all, it can go either way it's Kishi's call.

Sakura has been on 2 covers with Naruto one had Kakashi on it as well.
This is the 2nd cover Hinata has been on with Naruto the first one was with her team.
So all things considered they're both equal!
The funny thing is neither of them can compete with sasunaru!
Sasuke has shared cover 3 times and even had 4 covers all to himself!

Annnnnd all it takes is one word from Naruto ...damn i was so sure they even kissed!
Erhhh never mind then......
