I...............don't know what to say. I like to say we pretty much have won, though technically that wouldn't be right. We were just proven RIGHT, and we just correctly guess the way Kishi is heading with his characters. I could very least say that I'm happy, very happy in fact, because I wanted this pairing to happen since the end of Part 1. But......it hasn't happen in the manga yet.........though with everything has happen these last few days..........and the stuff with the anime's openings and endings.........and the stuff in the Rock Lee show..........and the dozen other proofs...........but...........it still hasn't happen in the manga yet, so.....................

While you said it's true, the fact that they feel pretty confident that NaruSaku is the winner in the end. I mean they will look complete foolish when it ends up with something different. Also, the movie is a big success to us because Kishi is the maker. The movie is what gives us an idea of what his thoughts on his creation. Turns out that NaruSaku is a serious business for Kishi, which scared everyone who believes otherwise. It didn't happen in the manga yet, but the evidence from past chapters give us a clear picture that NaruSaku is pairing that have a high chance of being canon.

I'm with you. We shouldn't bother with what other ships' reaction, let's just enjoy the NS moments --it's more fun. It's not about winning and loosing, it's about interpreting the story and author's message correctly or not. At the end, we're all fans of Naruto.

I've been setting myself up to expect the unexpected. If the other fan pairings weren't so rude (funny that they claim we're the rude one ) maybe I'd take them a bit more seriously and maybe enjoy all the pairings, but the lack of good evidence and clear denial of the ones in our favor puts me in the position to just tolerate them. To show maturity though, I will not go onto gloat towards any fans that don't like NaruSaku. But if we lose, I whole heartily suspect us to be trolled to no end thanks to Kishi trolling us all the way to the end. But like I said, there's almost nothing for us to be doubters right now

This movie is really good for NaruSaku imo, but I agree with what other people are saying, I'm gonna wait until NaruSaku is canon in the manga before throwing a party. xDDD I don't blame anyone for being happy, though, who wouldn't be after hearing that things are going so good for your OTP that even the rabid fans of other pairings are admitting it. But yeah, I don't think we should act like we have it in the bag just yet even though we do.

I read the "I can see it in your eyes" chapter and I agree that it doesn't seem romantic at all. Especially since there was that quote, "Look, you can see it in his eyes, he's evil!" or something like that a few pages before.

The way my *apparently* neutral (when it comes to pairings) friend described the scene made me think that it could possibly be romantic. He even said that he feels NaruHina has the best chance of happening, because although he admits NaruSaku has had many romantic moments, they have all been interrupted. (Wouldn't it make more sense for NaruSaku to be more likely because wouldn't you expect a romantic scene that is finally NOT interrupted?)

Even if the "I can see it in your eyes" chapter was romantic, I don't understand how that chapter is more popular than the Hinata confession... I guess it's because they feel it's a sign of mutual love.

LOL, I said more or less the same thing on page 137 of the Debate thread more than a week ago. Kishimoto made a very obvious point of setting up Sakura's genjutsu capability (even if it isn't clearly defined), and the fact that Tobi's goal is to cast a universal genjutsu -- and now the plot of the RtN movie -- it all positively shrieks that we're going see Sakura play some kind of role in the outcome. No asspull required.

Does anyone know if the RtN movie suggests that Menma and AU!Hinata are actually an item, or does AU!Hinata simply assume Menman is "her man" because it's what she wants? I don't remember reading that in the spoilers, or seeing anything that confirms it in the clips, but I could have missed it. Anyone?

But the spoilers doesn't say Sakura breaks the genjutsu.... so it's not really something you can use as solid proof of Sakura's abilities. At best, it's all just speculation.

I think those comments were handpicked by Kishi himself. I bet Kishi was smiling an evil smile when he saw NH comments . Also, like ciardha said, with how they were deliberately reaching out to international fans, I kinda wonder if Kishi & Pierrot are going to try to have it exported all over the world early. Also, there's even some fans from the Middle East in that survey, So I think they might try to do that. I won't be surprised if my country gets it too, since I heard my country is the Top 3 highest seller of tankobons around the world.

I bet that the reason Kishi's doing this is to show NH what he really thinks about them.

I get what you mean. But I didn't say she broke the genjutsu, or say it was solid proof. I was talking about her inclusion in the genjutsu-related aspect of the movie plot as being a potential pointer for something similar before the end of the manga.

Wish mine was too, but I was happy to see they did use a couple of the narusaku responses they received. I was also happy to see one person they posted a comment of was a 53 year old Japanese person (makes me feel great that there are fans of the story in their 50's in Japan- being in my mid 40's I'm at the upper age range of anime/manga fans in the US, period. I've only met a few other 40 something fans of Naruto, non in their 50's- only met a few American anime/manga fans that are more than 5 years older than me- and they tend to not read or watch much of the current stuff. It's great to meet up with them (and other 40 somethings like me) though to talk about the old low tech days of anime/manga fandom.

Normal in Naruto's world would be Chunin ninja. Which we now know for sure Kizashi is. Er, it sounds like you haven't read any interviews just saw someone's selected quotes on NF. A very poor source (as is Narutopedia, in case you didn't know, worse than useless for any info on Sakura) Even in the one that he calls her realistic, he means that in a complimentary way and says several overtly positive things about her. In fact, she's probably the character he's made the most number of positive comments about after Naruto. Perhaps even more. She's certainly the one he's defended the most strongly against negative comments.

My "normal" comment was directed at your question about her clan. He didn't really seem to elaborate whether he meant normal as in, her clan had no special abilities or not, but a lot of people read that and assumed they were normal civilians. In either case, Sakura's parents don't need to be like the Uchiha, because her clan isn't fated to fight Konoha and be all angsty like Sasuke. Even the possible Hyuga backstory was sidelined for the Uchiha.

Actually, I read a lot of his comments several years ago. I got into the fandom quite early and I usually drop by when college doesn't swamp me with work. The only thing I can remember from his interviews that sounded postive that I can remember was that she was going to be more heroic, and that she does not understand men but is realistic. He did sound annoyed that people wouldn't stop talking about Hinata, though.

By they way, are you fluent in Japanese? I remember one interview where he called Sakura "that chick," which caused the interviewer to gasp/ laugh. Could you clarify what he meant by that?

I don't think Kishimoto ever said that. Only a mangaka said that Kishimoto's wife looks like Sakura. (Her facial features? Does his wife have pink hair and green eyes? Was he just kidding? I really wanna see Kishimoto's wife now, lol).

Say the movie is the same, but instead of NaruSaku moments, all of them are replaced by SasuSaku and NaruHina. They acknowledged that they love their counterparts and in the end, there is no date request. How will you feel about the movie, and will your opinion change towards the movie (ex: this movie blows!)

To be honest I don't think the movie is that great, mainly because the parents and family themes are covered extensively in Western media, especially the -made-for-TV movies in the 90s like Home Alone. Girl hates her parents, then finds a perfect world in the basement where everything is the opposite - but there is always a catch. The moral of the story seems to be that you should appreciate what you have.

Well some don't. I've seen some people ship Sakura with Sasuke because Sakura is "apparently" a terrible person and a terrible person should only be allowed to get someone who has tried to kill her before, but I digress, lol. Then again, they don't really ship SasuSaku, do they?

That's not a bad idea.

I do believe she needs a closure with Sasuke. It most likely won't be a romance one, rather acknowledge as a good friend. Like I said many times before, Sasuke will return to be a good guy, BUT he will not stay in Konoha because of so many conflicting issues. I do believe Sasuke will become a wanderer in the end along with Team Taka, which, for now, I'm starting to see that he is sticking to that team forever. That's like the best possible ending I can see for Sasuke without being dead. Sakura will acknowledge that he is a good guy, but not the guy to fall in love with. Naruto probably think it's his fault that Sasuke is not back with Konoha, but Sakura will cheer him up saying that it's ok this way. This is how I see it. Besides, there is a chance (for now) that Sasuke may end up with Karin because of the new discovery. An Uzumaki and an Uchiha will make history and it will be ironic that Sasuke befriended two Uzumakis, let alone both of them very important. As of now, I'm just waiting to see how it progress for Sasuke, and Kishi is building the hype of Karin confrontation with Sasuke if you noticed it.

So yeah, she will get her resolution with Sasuke, though it won't be grand as Naruto of course.

Yes, I am up to date with the manga. Having said that, that was just a rumour, and there are quite a lot of yaoi fans around. I don't know, prying into Kishimoto's personal life makes me feel like a stalker.

It wouldn't be anti-climax, because the main point is that Sasuke is now the good guy (not yet but future). The thing is he has a team now, so I doubt he's abandoning them. The point of Team Taka right now is that they're not just ninjas who just doing their jobs, they're his developing close friends. The main problem within the team is that they don't acknowledge it, but you can tell that they stick together because of friendship. Suigetsu is in denial but you can tell yourself that he cares. Otherwise, why so eager to pass the scroll to Sasuke. Remember when Sasuke was reminded his old team back at 8-tailed battle? He saw his team as his old team.

Basically, Sasuke has a team, so he can explore with them on a adventure. Right now, he's trying to understand the circle of life, so this could give him the future that will set him up forever. While it could be anything, I think Sasuke will still explore around the world. If he returns to Konoha, exactly what's next. There's none for him. He can journey around the world to understand life and perhaps finally rebuild his clan from scratch. Sai already fill in the 4-man squad, so I don't see Kishi messing around with that. Besides, Sasuke already has one. So yeah, that's my opinion.

he's the character that i dislike most and i think most of the naruto fans think the same way, i dont like how kishi always give him hidden techniques from nowhere his battles are not enjoyable because we know that he will win with some hidden jutsus, kishi had a great villain (kabuto) he was powerfull he was beating itachi and sasuke together until itachi comes with an asspull jutsu.
i thought we would have some nice battle a fight that would've won based on details.

I only discussing the possible what if he lives in the end scenario. Death is an option too, but we have to wait and see.

Anyway, we should get back to discussing the movie. So yeah, newest update was the 25 chosen comments that I believe Kishi chose, but I could be wrong there. I'm just happy that people acknowledge Naruto fighting hard to win Sakura's heart and it actually match to the story perfectly, at least that's what that person said. Fact is the world read these comments.

I'm happy that everyone's celebrating about the events that have occurred. But, me, I'm playing it safe and not doing any celebrating until I see in the manga with Sakura and Naruto as a couple. Not being a pessimist but to celebrate now, it makes me feel no better than other fandoms. Yes this is Kishi's writing but I absolutely refuse to make any declarations until I have downright 100% confident proof.

I'm happy just like everyone else with these moments but they remain moments for me until something bigger happens. So YAY everyone
