The thing is it was assumed that Naruto was in love with Sakura, never was this an absolute fact. As is, it's not true he was ever in love with her.
The odder thing though, was the retcon post. The entire point of retcons is to make new canon. I could care less about the Han Solo example personally, but don't understand folks 1: Failure to understand what a retcon is, in the case of Naruto 2: Issue with a narrative alteration in this case of SW.
It doesn't matter if you consider something canon or not that has official canon status, they're canon anyway, because that's the official status.
But it's implied. It even is shown in several databooks that he loved her. Like... how hard is it to understand this? It's HINTED that he loved Sakura.
If you just said NaruSaku shouldn't have been canon, that would be at least tolerable. But you completely disregard Naruto's true feelings. Which is ironic considering how much you love chastising others for allegedly doing that exact thing...
