lol that's not a strange feeling my friend. :) I wouldn't even say we're losing the battle. Some of those fans are just fools. :hehehe continue to have confidence good sir! We all know what works in the end and NH doesn't.

 

Lol. Indeed. We did lose a few battles such as the scarf thing and the CD cover and such, but I still have confidence in the manga. Some maybe just fools, but even we are foolish from time to time.

Seems to me if NS were being advertised...well, I'd be worried. Especially seeing how the scenes were manipulated in that trailer. Obviously, pairings are being exploited. If the movie was supporting that pairing, why would they have to manipulate stuff to make it look like that?

 

But it's asking too much of the Naruto fandom to step back and analyze things before running off to argue childishly, I guess.

I am know very well of marketing in professional way, and this PR of movie is very effective, but I, myself just don't like when company manipulate their buyers, by mixing facts SO hard its not fair to the fanats of Naruto saga.

Hinata's development has been appalling. Now, the only excuse for that is that she's merely a side character with no importance to the plot whatsoever.

Compare it to Sakura's development throughout the series, the differences are embarrassing. Rewatching some of part one, Sakura was a selfish spoilt brat who treated Naruto like rubbish. But take a look at her now and she's developed quite a lot (although her pining for Sasuke leaves a lot to be desired -- but hey she's gotten a lot less fangirly)

 

Funny. In part one, I liked Hinata. I never hated Sakura (and found her frustrations as relatable as Hinata's), but I didn't care about her all that much.

Part two, I like Sakura, and Hinata is meh.

I would laugh if Naruto and Sakura are together in the movie. Though I'm sure NH fans will say" Naruto would leave her for Hinata" lol.

It is not common to see a break up in a shonen.

Well apart from the boobs, they don't like the fact Sakura still is after Sasuke.

 

I think most of those people ship NH because they despise NS, as they see Sakura as unfaithful to Naruto and believe she would dump him in a second if Sasuke would accept her.

 

We can all blame Kishi's ambiguous writting for that.

 

Then there is the purityfags that see Sakura as Sasuke's sloppy second...

I agree. Doesn't seem like a nice way to treat your customers. But clearly they're doing it, and they've done it before.

 

Then again, they are of course catering to the Japanese banbase firstly. Perhaps they don't care as much as pairings was we Westerners do.

what kishi did to hinata is one of the greatest epic collapse of character development that i've witnessed. he should be thrown in jail for completely butchering her character.

Why then they don't see stalking from Hinata as a probmel? Someone says Kishi is bad writer, but He himself just jump out from pretty bad situation in plot, so lets just wait and see how Sakura's feeling will resolve in the end.

Yeah, I don't remember hating Sakura in part one. I didn't think of Hinata all that much, just brushed her aside. But as I was watching episode 3 again, specifically when Sakura starts badmouthing Naruto, just before Sasuke called her annoying, I was like wow, can't believe she said all that, she was such a brat. But I think that shows how much she's changed.

some girls (shy ones) see Sakura as their rival in love

so they hate her


while NH/SS mostly contain those girls who want it happen as they want a girl what she loves & cannot compromise


some are even shallower

they ship NH cuz they want a Mary Sue for Naruto

I myself was usually on the fence with Sakura a lot of times early on. But I grew to see she really was trying to change herself.

She's the most developed character in Naruto apart from Naruto himself. That's why I believe NS will be canon.
