Yes. The exact words are, "That he had been unable to stop Orochimaru's madness fills Jiraiya with regret. It is why he turned down the position of Hokage and supports his village from the shadows."

well i dont think we can include minakushi here, because we did not know if they were on the same team, and plus if there was a second* guy like sasuke/kakashi for her to have a love interest, minakushi is only a NS parallel because of kushina's personality...
but i doubt that they had the same background as obito/rin and jira/tsu.
there are some parts of the puzzle for Mina/kushi to be a real naru/saku parallel, and again kushina's personality be the same as sakura's is what makes the parallel but not a strong one as obito/rin is.
jira/tsu "never" obito/rin was "almost" , naru/saku "canon?"
Sure, the two out of four pairings I mentioned that became canon were not teammates on a Genin team. And this is something I think Kishi wants to undo with NS.

"My name is Sung Ji-woo. Some called me the Assassin of Death. A Necromancer Deity... My journey has been nothing but walking over a mountain of corpses. My legion of the dead reigns supreme. None shall block my way or... face the wrath of my blades!" --Solo Leveling.

Parallel overload!
But seriously, thanks for telling me. I know it's a databook, but still, I do think this should be known through manga anyway. I guess we are not living in a fantasy, thinking it's just there for nothing.

Actually, it's been speculated that Kishi had a hand in writing the movie. There are several evidences that support it. The story, the characters, and several things that certainly look to be too much of a coincidence. For instance, Darui's debut was in late 2009. His signature jutsu is Ranton: Laser Circus. Just a few months before that, the movie came out. Not only that, about a year later after that, the Kekkei Genkai users from the movie appeared in the manga.
Also, Kishi has a tendency to do something special for milestones. Ch. 400 explains the Uchiha Massacre, Ch. 500 is the story of Naruto's birth, Ch. 600 shows us that Obito is indeed Tobi. (ok, it was 599 but still....)
2009 was the 10-year anniversary of his manga, 2012 is the 10th anniversary of the anime. Not only that, next week is supposed to celebrate Naruto's 13th anniversary and we'll be getting Rin's death as well. See where I'm going??

The family that couldn't be.

Few questions:
1) Kekkei Genkai users from the movie appeared in the manga? When was this? Please inform me more on this.
2) That is true about the anniversary, yet those special event gives us NS moments (awesome
Also about the milestones, well Tobi's surprise could have happened at 600 but perhaps Kishi couldn't find a way to stall. Still, we got Madara and Tobi duo happened, so consider it special. It's the climax to the arc you know.

Oh wow, you're right. That is interesting. Hehe, if he does have apart of this movie, guess that explains the NaruSaku stuff in the movie.
Thank you.

That's a good question. You know another good question or more like prediction: do you think Kurama will apologize to Sakura? If I'm not mistaken, she's the only one to get hit by him right (good people wise)? Just a thought.

I'm the only one that have the feel that it would be too weird if naruto and kurama swap in front of sakura, in a middle of a conversation.

I also thought about a conversation between kurama and sakura. It would be funny if he tells her about the bench scene, that it was naruto who complimented her forehead.

again this forehead scene.............
Can you explain me why this is scene is relevant if in 600 chapters we got no flashbacks about this?

I know now its about time to get a flashback about this, i mean sakura thinks that she nearly kissed sasuke that time, so why not??

While I'm not with them on this bench scene, though I don't mind, anything can happen. I can see Naruto forcing Kurama to apologize for hurting her. Anything can happen. Not saying it will happen but it can. Would it be amusing that Naruto get told by Kuruma that Sakura reminds him of Kushina? He was with her. You never know.

Why would Kishimoto flashback to the bench scene before he is ready to resolve the love triangle? The fact that it hasn't been revisited yet, if it's going to be, is because it isn't time yet. Flashing back to it somewhere in the middle of the manga would dilute its value.
And again, the reason why some fans find it so relevant and important is because it was a distinctly significant scene:
1. It proved beyond a doubt that Naruto understands Sakura, and instinctively knows what her heart wants. It established that he's the unshakeable, perfect guy for her, she just hasn't realized it yet.
2. Sakura recognized the speaker at the bench scene as the one who understands and accepts her, and naturally believed it was Sasuke -- a case of mistaken identity that crystalized her feelings for the wrong person. A mistake that has yet to be completely corrected.
3. Naruto clearly acknowledged to readers that he was in love with Sakura.
It's just my opinion, but I would say those things make it relevant to the resolution of the story, and worth a second look when it's time. Plus it's Kishimoto's style. I will be very surprised if he doesn't cover the bench scene again in some form before the end of the manga.

I'm beginning to think it will be before Naruto fights Sasuke for the last time. Sakura will be present before a conversation between the two and I have a theory that it will be Sasuke who will bring up the time when Naruto transformed himself into him leading for Sakura to connect the dots of who was the one who gave her the forehead compliment and the one who understands her the most.

I understand how you feel man yeah why would Kishi bother himself to bring the bench scene when it's been 600 chapters??? After all how many chapters it took him to bring the revelation of Naruto's mother Kushina??? or how many chapters it took him to finally confirmed Minato the fourth Hokage is his father??? Or how many chapters it took him to reveal the truth of Itachi??? Or how many chapters it took him to finally reveal Tobi's identity since he made his debut during the rescue Gaara arc??? Or how many chapters it took him to reveal Pain??? The truth behind the rinnegan, the revelation of the sage of the six paths, the revelation of the ten tails, the revelation of Madara, the revelation of the Uzumaki clan and so and on. Dude it takes time, it takes "many chapters" because it's all part of Kishimoto's story telling in order to further develop the plot of the story but he does it slowly and gently and when the times is right he reveals it. You can't possibly expect him to reveal everything in just one chapter. It that was the case then this manga would have ended years ago.
The bench scene is the beginning where everything started for the development of NS in the manga, where Naruto realizes why he understands Sakura and why he likes her. It's very important and fundamental to the pairing because this gives us the reason why the male protagonist loves his love interest and the heroine. Obviously for being something "very important" to the development that it is today the NS pairing Kishi will touch it all in due time, and he's not stupid (besides making a small mistake in drawing the fourth face in the Hokage mountain during Obito's flashback in 599 lol

Well, I don't really want to get that far because a lot of fanfiction portrays Kurama abusing Sakura in ways because of what she'd done to Naruto. Honestly, I don't really know how Kurama would React to Sakura in any case. The theory behind this is that we know Naruto shares Kurama's abilities like the negative emotion sensor. And this http://www.mangarush...naruto/558/p-16 is were it all comes down to. What if that positive emotion sensor is able to sense out Sakura's love for Naruto. Maybe that's why he was smiling theoretically.
