You know something? I miss 2D Disney animated movies. I like 3D, but I would really love for a good classically animated feature to come out.

Do you how long I've been following the news about Frozen? Probably around the time The Princess and The Frog was released. I expected a beautiful adaptation of the original story aka The Snow Queen in 2d- which is COMPLETELY different from what we see in Frozen, but I think you know that. First I read that Frozen will not be in 3d. What a bummer. And then I hear that it will be a ... sister type movie. That's when I was like:" Great, I guess the Disney Era I used to know is really over."

You know...I do kind of hate that NC did point out one big flaw of The Lion King, which I didn't notice until now. It's about forgetting the past and move on. The way it handled was a bit...not good.

 

I friggin' hate it when things like that happen in movies. You read or see one plot hole and it ruins it. I love the Back to the Future trilogy, but that moment in Part 3 when Marty heads back to the West frustrates me no end. Doc Brown sends Marty back into the past in order to save his future self, and his future self doesn't know why Marty appears...but, if his past self sent Marty back into the past, then surely his future self should know why he was sent!!! Or that moment in Signs when you realise that the aliens are allergic to water...so they come to a planet that's 80% water!!!

I mean you can nitpick, fine, but when it comes to the vocal point of the story, like Naruto's old moral that truly forgot, then you will get critique on it.

sP go out of their way to make Sakura skinnier, than she is in the manga and make sure she has no shape most of the time. They would never make Sakura sexier, because it would take attention away from their princess.

It's such a shame. I was so hyped when the Princess and the Frog was going to be a 2D movie, and I like it. Unfortunately, I guess it didn't sell enough units and the people above thought that it was because such movies don't appeal to people anymore.

 

Wow, those initial reports present a completely different picture. Would have been interesting to see!

 

Who knows though? Perhaps some time in the future, tastes will change as they always seem to do, and we may witness another renaissance that leads to a bunch of 2D projects.

True that  but  in that poster  Sakura is to exposed and revealing like Karin's  when that's not her style at all  Sakura is a tomboy in a way  not to mention her chest  are like she suddenly put  some implants  this was never Sakura  , This whole image just reeks of sexism  ugh !  Its like they trying to appease the otaku fans in a way  sign .

I find it hilarious how SP so blatantly makes Naruto second-handed so Hinata could shine.

First you have the merchandise of Naruto being silver medal and Hinata being gold medal. It's like SP's indirectly saying that she's the most important person, and have Naruto orbiting around said person.

Then you have Naruto become all jealous of Hinata's love interest no.2 Toneri who is better looking and stronger. The funny part is the main hero of this manga has been made so weak that he gets caught into a genjutsu regardless of his Jinchuuriki status so Hinata's love interest no.2 could look good. Not to mention, he was dumped for this guy. And he can't even defeat him or the eye balls without the Hyuuga Princess.

And then you have Hinata choosing Naruto, not the other way around. It HAS to be Naruto the one chasing like a love sick puppy and Hinata finally accepting him.

Next, look at the wedding. They hold a portrait of Neji. But, Naruto's parents are nowhere to be seen. Like yeah, who cares about holding a portrait of dead parents of Hinata's love interest no.1?

And then look at the children. Lol, their names are relevant to Hinata. Boruto is a synonym of Neji, and Himawari's name means Sunflower which is related to Hinata's name meaning sunlight. May it be love interest no.1 or no.2, the children's name wouldn't have changed a bit.

Yeah, you've got to respect how SP shamelessly use the main hero as a tool to make the Hyuuga Princess shine. I am absolutely 1000% sure that they don't love Naruto a bit, and if Hinata was portrayed to love Kiba then Kiba would've been the main focus of the movie, while
Naruto is the rival fighting to gain Hinata's affections and losing pathetically to Kiba.

I really think that Neji shouldn't have a died..it served no purpose but the name for Doritos, I mean Burrito, no Bolt This movie made everyone hate Naruto the character who was suppose to show an example and inspire thanks to a character who had no importance in his life other than being a friend, then they gave her the role of those who were actually there for him and made others into nothing more than side characters. This movie should have been for those who follow this manga for 15 years and not be treated like they don't matter, it's due to the fans who support this manga that made it into a success by giving their time to read this...sorry I believe I ranted..

I got to say, I do thank Nostalgic Critic or Doug Walker for making me like Disney and understand them more than I ever did. So I decided to rewatch them. It got me influenced to watch them and review on tumblr, which I haven't done. It seems like he did it again and he actually did Frozen. I can't watch it, so I guess you can see it yourself and see if you agree.

I like the Princess and the Frog, too! Tbh, I didn't really like the original story by the Grimm Brothers- it has a superficial message to me, which is why I was ok that they changed it from the original story.

But deviating the plot line in Frozen from its core roots so dramatically hurt me a lot. The Snow Queen written by Hans Christian Anderson was one of my favorite children stories.

Maybe one day 2d will come back *sigh* But most importantly, I hope that Disney will one day do fairytales again. There are still so many fairytales out there that Disney left untouched.
