Well, I got a question. How do you think the conversation would go when Naruto and Sakura talks about his mother? Thoughts?

I don't know if they'll talk about his parents straight up, it seems more like Kishi's style to have it happen off-panel, or have her find out indirectly or through someone else's conversation, sort of like how Sai found out about Naruto's father.
I think we might see a vague NS hint when they finally meet though, with Naruto randomly seeing Kushina while Sakura is lecturing him. Maybe he'll reflect on Kushina's advice on women, since that was the only part of Kushina's dying words that he didn't respond to in the next chapter (it seemed like Kishi intentionally left that part out ). Though that seems a little too obvious to me, considering how vague the shipping hints in the manga usually are.

LOL, I'd like to see Naruto accidentally call Sakura "Mom". I wonder how she'd react...

That actually sounds like Kishimoto's style. He never lets even the vaguest hint of any kind of kind of difficulty between Naruto and Sakura last very long, it's always positively resolved quite quickly. And adverse events that happen to Naruto and Sakura when they are alone also serve to draw them closer together. It makes perfect sense that Sakura will take that painful moment when the ninja who has a crush on her reminded her that one guy she had feelings for turned into a decidedly not great guy, and upon seeing Naruto smile and think about how the guy she is in love with now is a great guy.

Naruto calling Sakura mom, hahaha, that would be hilrious. Well, I was just throwing that question to get some sort of flow going, have no clue if even Kushina would be involved somehow in the next conversation, maybe or maybe not.

I actually think that's how it's going to play out.

Naruto does something badass/cool/awesome, or at the very least, bumps into Sakura before he's about to head out to do something badass/cool/awesome.

Sakura looks at him, give a little sigh and a smile, and says, "You really are a great guy, Naruto."

And he gives her a startled look, then breaks into a giant grin. Says nothing, but runs off to do his Heroic Badassery, knowing that Sakura is the wind at his back.

LOL, it's funny because it's technically a Debate Thread, but I imagine any SasuSaku or NaruHina shippers reading this thread probably would feel too intimidated to get involved. I mean, this is a NaruSaku FC site after all.
I know I've had arguments in the past on their turf, and it's not fun. Even if your argument's better, it's hard to argue when 20 people respond to every post you make. I actually remember the same thing happening to NH shipper who came on these boards after chapter 540 came out. Admittedly, it was a terrible time to come on here, and he/she came off as a little pretentious, but I can't blame them for not coming back, considering how many of us pounced on him/her (me included).
In any case, I think the best we can do here is play devil's advocate every once in a while. So I think I'll give it a shot. *cracks knuckles*

When I think about Kushina's advice to Naruto on women in chapter 504, I assume it has to be foreshadowing to some degree. I guess the fact that Kishi didn't have Naruto address that line in the next chapter sort of proves that it's going to be brought up later. So, considering Naruto only has two plausible romantic interests in the canon (IMO), does anyone see any parallels between Kushina and Hinata? All I can think of is long hair, coming from exotic clans, and being prepared to sacrifice themselves for Naruto's sake. I also noticed a parallel with Kushina being referred to as one of Naruto's 'suns' and Hinata's name ("A sunny place") but I think that might be pushing it.
If that's true though, and Kishi is really trying to draw a parallel between Hinata and Kushina, does anyone think Sakura is a "strange one"? Or does anyone think that line might mean something else entirely, considering how Kushina herself might be a "strange one". If that's the case, her own advice on women contradicts itself, LOL.

Anyway, just curious if anyone had any thoughts on that whole thing.

They're all strange man, but all right, I see what you got there, however Kushina is a firecracker which unfortunatly, Hinata is not and fortunatly, Sakura is and personality is always the driving force, not much for background and looks.

you're right. haha, I didn't notice it. I already debated with NH fan in deviant art about this topic,she said "Kushina-Naruto = alike and Minato-Hinata = alike" (she post it last year) and I was reply yesterday (haha) "you forget something, Kushina said try find someone like your mother, not someone like your father" then she reply:im going to have to say watever to your comment because of the date i posted mine. but i have to say to me sakura and kushina are not alike that much (because i really think kushina was waaaay nicer and not as mean to minato as sakura was to naruto) im not trying to start a war because honestly THEIR FICTION FIGMENTS OF SOMEONES IMAGINATION whoevr naruto ends up with the ends up with we cant say whats right or wrong i just prefer naruhina way more than narusaku because i dont like getting beaten up by the person i like i would feel very sad and hurt. im sorry for the long speech and i dont ecpect you to reply but if i was naruto i would hate to be around sakura due to the abuse she gives. also if you give me a long speech on how sakura is like kushina and why naruhina doesnt work out i wont read or reply it. i rather will just delete it.peace (also please dont use hinatas confession as a back lash as how much he doesnt care because frankly sakuras was almost the same except she had been rejected and im sorry for putting it bluntly) thank you,good bye.

It is not just a Shonen joke, more of a cultural theme, I enjoy all types of manga and I have read Shojo manga where the heroine hits her boyfriend with more regularity than Sakura ever hits naruto.

then there is my favourite counter in FMA winry reduces ed to a pile of goo with her wrench regularly yet she loves him.

I like the parallels between Kushina/Sakura. But the fact that Kushina told Naruto to find a girl like her and stay away from a 'weird' one is too artificial in my opinion. I mean their personalities are obviously very similar so there's no need for such a statement. I know it's a NS support, but the 'weird' can also be applied to Sakura. I know this sounds negative for NS but I think it just causes more confusion.
Just imagine Naruto (who definitely has some super life-giving chakra right now) healing or even reviving Sakura later on (preferably by kissing her) and then flowers and trees start growing everywhere on the battlefield. There should be a final Kushina/Minato panel showing a picture of them in the form of a phantasm somewhere in the chakra-induced growing nature. That would be so epic. There's no need for concrete instructions like the one above. I hope there's only gonna be solid stuff from now on^^

LOL, that sounds like a fun person to be arguing against.

You have:
a.) A totally random theory being pushed as fact. I've heard the Minato/Hinata comparison before, and other than having similar sounding names, I really don't see it.
b.) Misunderstanding the Tsundere trope.
c.) Calling Naruto's response to Sakura a "rejection", while the manga clearly points out that he didn't believe her at the time. How can you reject a confession you don't deem to be honest? I've seen this sort of thinking before, and it annoys the heck out of me. Either he didn't believe her confession and called her out on it, or he did believe her, and rejected her feelings. You can't have it both ways, NaruHina fans.
d.) My personal favorite right here. They argue their point, and then say they'll delete any further comments by you. How incredibly immature. To me, that's the equivalent of a little kid throwing a water balloon at someone, and then yelling, "TRUCE! TRUCE!".

That comment by Kushina actually surprised me a little. I mean, sure, most main characters in shounen like this are heterosexual, but it still sounded a little homophobic to me. Sort of like, "alright my son, there's no possible way you could ever grow up to be homosexual, so I won't even acknowledge it in my final words to you". Maybe I'm making that scene too complicated though.
Thinking about it though, if Naruto really does take his mom's words to heart, that scene did a lot more damage to the SasuNaru pairing than it did to NaruHina.

Ahhh, don't worry about it, I've pretty much gave up on shipping debates, as well, because everything frikien thought, logic, and argument always leads to narusaku in my mind. Could be because of my biasness, or my deduction skills. I don't know, but don't worry I'm still gonna be here giving some insight on anything.
