I'll try to finish it sometime soon. I've got a lot more than what I showed you guys yesterday. I don't think this is gonna be a one shot, it's too long, and I kinda left it open so I could continue it if I eanted. I might just chop it up into three chapters...I might just torture you guys with bits and pieces :chuckle:

That beautiful moment when you go from cs5 to cs6 for free :chuckle: I think I'll be able to make gifs/animations much easier on this version. Plus the background is black, so it looks cooler.

She barely even saw him move, and she couldn't do anything. She was in his arms before she knew it, his face buried in the crook of her neck. He held her tightly, like he never wanted to let go. He was freezing, the rain had done a number on him, and through him, her. She could feel her clothes start to get wet courtesy of him.

"I'm back."

It was a whisper. She rolled her eyes, annoyed. "I know you're back, idiot, I can-"

She felt warmth along her cheek, different from the cold water that clung to his body. He was crying, his tears rolled down her face. "No, I'm back. It's me. I'm back, Touka-chan."

Her eyes widened as she grasped the implications of his statement. The way he said her name, so softly in reverence, the same as he always said it. The tears built up and fell, and she didn't care. He was back. Finally, after all this time, he had come home. He was back.

Her arms sprung into action, wrapping themselves around him, holding him tightly, never wanting to let him go. Ever.

"Ka-Kaneki?" she whispered.
