Naruto didn't need those fight at all, it was intresting to see his interaction with Sakura, Kakashi, Yamato, Sai and etc. What could Sasuke show us? He's relationships with Taka was shown when he gathered them into team, so only red eyes and more chidori is to shown by him. 

It doesn't need to be them but it need to tell us why he's the protagonist. That's the problem. Hell, I'm thinking maybe it was best if Naruto was like One Piece, just have bunch of henchmen, because God knows he can't have Naruto handle all dramas only to get all fights which is overblown in the War Arc, which is kitten anyway.

I think people here overestimate Kishimoto's writing skills the man is just that bad, I too tought that maybe Kishi did what he did for money or because people around him told him X and Y were more popular than Z but altought that played a part the truth of the matter is that was Kishi's choice. The characters before Pain Arc were multifaceted after Pain arc they were reduced to obsessed freaks (Obito, Naruto, Sakura, Hinata, Sasuke) for no logical reason, everything was turned upside down and criminals psychopaths mass murderers and traitors were rewarded for their behaviors, the tone has clearly changed when before we were told "Those that break the rules and regulations are scum. But those who abandon their comrades are worse than scum.", well Obito and Sasuke were never ever considered scum on the contrary they were praised and excused for killing innocents and betraying their comrades. The villains became a joke, Obito Madara the Juubi Kaguya never ever felt a threat or were interesting characters compared to Pain and the Akatsuki in general, they were just uninteresting flat characters, the plot became all about destiny handed power up and hard work was a thing of the past . Is that really a coincidence that everything turned for the worst as soon as his first editor left ? What we loved about Naruto and NaruSaku was never Kishi's work, Kishi's work was NH and SS aka one sided obsessed shallow and selfish feelings.

If that wasn't for this Yahagi guy this manga would surely never be a success and I can understand Kishi want to ride and milk the franchise as much as he can because he will never have another chance to make a successful manga (execpt if he has someone that helps guide him in the right way), Kishi's talent is his ability to create a great world and great characters he just lacks the ability to develop them properly because Kishi is an awkward man with little understanding of human psychology a sexist view of women and very dubious moral values (I'm being generous here).

The last 250 chapters or more are Kishi's unaldutered work and that's why the manga became so mediocre. Don't look for conspiracies sometimes the answer is much more simple and in this case it's simply because Kishimoto is an awful writer, I'm not even sure I can him call that since he doesn't even respect basic literature tools, he's just a hack who had the chance to be well surrounded.

 

Speaking about his first editor I found this interesting response. Look at the very bottom kishi mentioned about how he thinks all editors are professional but yahagi responded by saying he is dead wrong about that fact. I heard that jump could hire a noobie editor to do your manga and as a mangakai you have to be aware of this eventually.Knowing that the fact that kishi fired many editors i think he put to much trust into the editors.

In a way, I think we should have seen this coming. The manga's quality has declined way before chapter 699, 700. You'd have to be delusional to say the story was fine until chapter 698, which some people are actually saying.

The biggest problem with part two is that excluding the Pein Arc, Naruto focused Arc was boring as hell because it was all about chasing Sasuke. Sasuke's Arc until Itachi vs Sasuke was more interesting because the story moved forward. And this is a big problem because the story only moves forward when Sasuke moves forward. The main hero and heroine are merely satellites to the antagonist.

I'm regretting that I should've given up on this story way earlier.

So kittening true  and this is the main freaking problem I had with this series bc The plot that was about bringing peace was apparently save Sasuke that's the solution How ridiculous is that ? Not to mention The guy didn't want to come back he didn't kittening care about you he had his own separate life and his own goals   there should have been a lesson here   like : " You can't kittening force someone to do what you want and you can't let his crimes go unpunished without any repercussions  "  sign . The both of them turned into this sick puppies whenever Sasuke came into the picture  instead of showing their characters progress  they are degrading even more     . 

 

You know the thing I could have even go with this whole chasing Sasuke kitten   if  other characters and plots  were expanded  more  like K11 each team has it small arc  then the Jinchuriki's issue and this was important bc the MC is a freaking one  we should have looked at each of their lives and problems and show how they were hunted  and lastly I would have so wanted to see more of the other clans  like freaking Uzumakis  the MC's clan we know little to none and yet we get more and more Uchiha kitten especially about their power of "Love"  Ugh Kill me Now   also Sarutobi's , Senju's and the others  but yeah kitten that kitten no one wants to see it .

 

For Naruto and Sakura they could have made their focus not just on Sasuke but more on protecting their village their friends and working to protect it  have some separate training arc etc also both working toward the solution to peace this should have been the core plot the one that was left out in the end  .

 

But why am I even trying to explain this kitten  it doesn't even matter its over  and yeah I feel you , you have no idea how much a regret this kitten  its bc of this I have no desire to touch upon another manga again bc this kitten insulted my intelligence  to no end  so I'll need some time to recover sign .

I'm tempted to watch the Boruto movie only because I'd like to see team seven becoming merely weak fodders in the presence of Hinata, the god reincarnate and princess.

The main character in this manga is naruto, sasuke, kakashi, and sakura.
While naruto is title character, protagonist, and hero of this manga.
The truth is he's not. The true hero in this manga is sasuke to the point changing the manga title to sasuke will not creating confusion.

Well... Naruto's story was pretty good until the end of Pain Arc. We had Naruto's line, and Sasuke's, both had their unique futures. Naruto's was about his growth as person, Sasuke's was about action. In 5 kages summit - it got mixed, and kitten started to look weird.
