Oh dear god my shipping kokoro is happy!!!

So I was finally able to watch the special and it was actually really good, I was really pleased with it. I won't give anything major away, but I'll share a few of my thoughts. I can't believe I'm saying this but Foxy actually wasn't that bad, I even laughed at one of his moves. It caught me of gaurd, so I laughed pretty freaking hard. Now at first I thought the entire special was going to be about him the Davy Back Jones games, but that wasn't the case. I had made the comment yesterday that I would have preferred for them to make a new villain for this special and they did. I thought he was pretty unique, he wasn't about strength, even though he was strong, but he was more about wisdom, especially tactical wisdom. He did a pretty good job keeping the straw hats on their toes. Personally I love it when an enemy backs our heroes into a corner, it's not often that we see happen, so when we have somebody that is actually a threat its a lot of fun to watch.

Now everybody here knows that I'm a huge Luna shipper, and this special did not disappoint when it comes to Luffy and Nami interaction, and moments. There was quite a lot in the special. Not just that but Nami was the star of the special. I don't think I've ever seen her get so much screen time and so many lines in a movie, special, or even episode for that matter. Even towards the end focus goes to Nami!! I won't say what it is because the shock factor is well worth it, pun intended ho ho ho 😁 This special caters to Nami fans, and for once it's not fanservice. Now that I kind of think about it there wasn't any fanservice at all. I think the only fan service is what Nami was wearing but even then it wasn't something overly sexual. Anyhow I think this is the most I've ever seen Nami shine and I was at the edge of my seat at times! It was great getting to see our queen kick some ass! So even if you don't ship Nami with Luffy it's all good, this special is so meant for Nami lovers in general, I highly recommend it.

Aside from that the animation was great, the fight scenes were pretty cool, and the enemy was way different this time around. Also Foxy actually did help, he wasn't annoying. I not once cringed whenever he shared screen time with the rest of the Straw Hats. In all honesty I never thought I'd say that because I'm not very fond of Foxy, but I didn't mind him at all in this special.

So yeah overall it was pretty sweet, it was nice that it was lengthy too. So whenever you guys have a chance definitely check it out, it's a much watch for us One Piece fans 😁

Well, can't go by ratings for everything. It's like with DBZ movies. Don't like old ones, even though they're actually better than newer ones. Funny because I used to think Broly was the best movie. Now, well, it's good though I last saw it 3 years ago. Yeah, I tried to find a discussion about it and I know here isn't the best but I tried. Felt like in a mood since TFS is making a list and glad didn't submit to popularity, even though I don't agree some of the choices, but in their defense, they list the points and already acknowledge fans possible rage.

Yeah Toei is responsible for this, apparently they really love Nami. I was really surprised to see that there was no fan service in this special. I've honestly become so used to it, I mean every time we see Nami and Robin their boobs jiggle around to the point that its absurd. I think the worst offender is the movie where they find an island on a turtles back. Namis boobs were out of control. The only thing that I did see in this special was some inconsistency with Nami's chest size. In some scences she would have a normal size bust, but then in another scene her breasts would double in size. It would make her look like she was going to topple over. The size change just made her look off. Other than that there wasn't any gravity defying boob physics anywhere in sight. Also I wouldn't be surprised if haters are knocking it down because I wasn't very happy when I saw Foxy, but like I said he wasn't bad at all.

I think it's just fan service from Toei. I mean there have been SaNa filler moments too, so I don't think it's really that big of a deal.

 

But truth be told Luffy x Nami has the best chances of becoming canon.

And truth be told, before I stopped watching, they did favor more on LuNa. Regardless that it may or may not be canon because it's OP, it was emphasis more.

I was thrilled when she got his swords!! It's rare that someone else gets them, especially Nami 😁 A little detail they added that I love was Nami reacting to the weight of the swords themselves when they were given to her. She's like damn these are heavy! That doesn't stop her though and she ties them secure across her chest with a thin rope and carries the swords on her back. Nami badass moment right there.

Desperate attempt to take your mind off the fact that LuNa is canon is desperate. Just accept the fact that this movie/special is all LuNa, and even Oda ships LuNa
