There is a manga called pokemon adventures, I dont think its less canon than the anime, just a different universe, it generally uses the game protagonists in each new installment and links their respective story. I really liked the Diamond/Pearl,Gold/Silver, FireRed/LeafGreen, Ruby/Sapphire chapters


So the Ruby and Sapphire I'm talking about are not from Steven Universe, it's these guys



iirc they are the only canon/near canon main pairing in the series

I'm not sure why the movie underpreforming in the states is worth celebrating about. I doubt SP will care due to the movie making a huge profit in Japan

 

The thing is that they know the reason why the Boruto film was a success in Japan because of the catering to SasuNaru fans. They were the ones to bring in the most money, Without them, the film would have flop (but not as bad as it is in the states).

How do you even know it was soley the SasuNaru moments? It also could have been due to the nostalgic factor and the fact that this is the final movie.

If there is anything to be glad about it is that this is the final movie. It's about time if you ask me.

The Last had false advertisement.? The commercials and trailers showed a NH movie and that's exactly what it turned out to be.

Have you forgotten the heavily focused ads on Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi, or the narrator commenting on Sakura's beauty and how Naruto will finally ..., or the pre-order tickets with those 3?

Those commercials that you talk about only appeared after the ending was released. And only some ads were released a couple of days before the ending of the manga. But most of the commercials for the movie were focused on Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi.

 

For the most part people went in believing it would a Team 7 movie with the main focus on the main 3 male characters, and instead got a cheesy romance movie with a side character. People didn't get what they paid for. So yeah it had false advertisement.

It really isn't. I think it just drives the final nail into their heads that. "The western fan base of naruto especially the US's nH and ss is worthless compared to what they could have been making." Remember the ending happened because they thought they would make big bucks in the states and around the world if they made the ending nH and ss (mainly nH). Instead they are losing money and the place they are making the most money Japan is hemorrhaging fans because they hate the ending(and the pairing that are the result of the ending nH and SS). So from what i have heard from one person on tumbler for jump festa this year the official merchandise is SNS, NS, and Naruto and Gaara. It obvious that even if they don't change the ending, they have obviously given up on nH and ss for the most part. Since they are desperately trying to appease the fans they lost (also with the bolt movie) instead of focusing on the fans that they had.

 

They clearly knew that they may not keep all the fanbases after the ending so they went with the ones they thought would give them the most profit (nH and ss). That wasn't the case so now they are desperately trying to appease the fanbases they lost in hopes they will come back.

You're thinking of the American trailers (where they we trying to drag in nH fans) you're forgetting about the Japanese trailers (which were hiding the pairing and were advertising Sasuke and kakashi out the ass).

Don't know if I've said it already, but I just finished watching Boruto: Naruto The Movie....         

 

 

I will have my review up sometime within the upcoming week probably on Friday and do one FINAL Livestream for this series with Boruto Naruto The Movie to give it the send off it needs so that I can now officially move on from this series.

And also add in that the theaters suddenly refused to give refunds, something that, IIRC, was never done with any of the previous Naruto movies. I'm sure the numbers would look quite a bit different if they had to give refunds.

Not until the final two was released a. I guess you wasn't here when we learned that SP brought in the Kakashi and Sasuke fans and other and gave them free stuff. Although the trailers did showed that, there was a 30 second NS commercial along with the usual SN at the premier that never happened in and it had the comments Naruto said to himself about Sakura that her beauty has increased and that was with TL sketches kishi wrote on. And all this kitten happen when the trailer were released that Kakashi, Sasuke and other fans tried to refund their tickets but the cinemas refuse. And the pre sale ticket orders were on sale since summer and was avertised to be about Team 7 (originally)The posted all over twitter and face book that this was the first Naruto film that any cinema refused refunds. 

 

Despite all the NH advertisement and merchandise, SP took it upon themselves to goad the other pairing fandom by releasing post of Naruto holding hands with a secret some and it was unvieled early January that it was Hinata on the SP calendar lol. All the info is in Chatte's old TL theory thread.
