Yeah Mashima doesn't screw with his fanbase like Kishi does, he actually develops the pairings he plans, he doesn't try to decieve them by pointing them in one direction then another, he decides the pairing and sticks with it, If you don't like Erza/Jellal tough, it's his story and that's the pairing you are getting. I like that about Mashima.

 

Yeah lol, said this before but that's the reason why I stopped watching it. Knew that Natsu x Erza wouldn't happen. I don't know why, but I seem to gravitate to the more unpopular pairings

Huh so, he only followed through with some parallels. It makes me wonder why he'd even bother with Kushina=Sakura. Things were going down hill since after the Pein fight, but this ending is just a colossal fail. For shame Kishimoto, you failed.
