Nothing of importance was revealed yet other than a short 30 sec trailer and a few sketches.

What? It definitely can lmao. If there was someone I knew all my life I thought was like plain looking and they suddenly became good looking I would be attracted to them.
Except Sakura never was just plain looking to him.
And what exactly is it that makes him notice her now as oppose to before?

Most likely. For all we know, Kishi might do the same in The Last. We will see Naruto in whatever age, thinking he has matured a lot but then do something dumb. Same for Sakura, thinking she is a very kind woman only to beat up Naruto and place him under her hands.Well 50 or not, Gashirama was a big goof and also serious. Probably, that's how Naruto will be too.
