Anime Movies Marathon!

Afro Samurai Ressurrection (2009): 8/10
Though the plot is uninspired the action is great, the music and animation is awesome and hey its got Samuel L. Jackson motha*****!

Naruto Shippuden The Movie 2: Bonds (2008): 3/10
Better than the first Shippuden movie but is still kitten. First of all guns, bombs and all that crap have no place in the Narutoverse, 2nd the inclusion of Sasuke felt tacked on for fanservice (especially considering this is noncanon) and the overall plot is like the makers threw crap at a wall to see what stuck. The only thing about it worth mentioning is the brief NaruSaku moment.

Sailor Moon R: Promise Of The Rose (1993): 5/10
Felt like an overly long filler episode with very little action and stupid humor, but points to the makers for having the balls to kill off the main character abeit a brief death. Also, am I the only one thinking Fiore might be homosexual? He seemed a little obsessed with Mamoru.

Naruto Shippuden the Movie 2: Bonds (Kizuna): 8/10

I actually enjoy this movie better than the previous ones. A huge step up from the last one. Though there were some DBZ reference (villian charged up dark chakra and became muscular, not to mention the hair grew... its ala DBZ, peeps >_> ), the action were enjoyable and there were some brief NaruSaku scenes.

Nepolian Dynamite: 9/10

Even though it's very stupid and odd, it's still a very good movie and i never get tired of it.

Star Trek (2009): 10/10
THIS....MOVIE....WAS....FREAKING....AWESOME! I cannot describe with words how much I loved this movie, it had great action, great acting, well cast Characters and just jaw dropping special effects. Props too to the guy who scored this movie (can't remember his name for the life of me but he also scored Speed Racer) and Director JJ Abrams. This is imo the 3rd best Trek movie behind Wrath Of Khan and First Contact, I cannot wait to see it again! wow.png

Maybe this is just because it was one of the first Star Trek films I ever watched, but I've always had a bit of a fondness for Generations despite it's faults. Anyways, I'm not a hardcore Trekkie or anything, but I am something of a fan. So I kind of want to see the new one, myself. Aside from yours Ed, it seems to be getting pretty favorable reviews, so I might have to make a point to see it.

End of Days: 7/10
Typical Arnie movie. Explosions, action and all the good stuff. I think it's pretty safe to say he's fought everything at this point; aliens, the government, terrorists, fantasy creatures, powerful cyberpunk-esque corporations and Satan himself. The movie's not anything remarkable though. Nothing really stands out, quite unlike your typical Arnie film that has something else intriguing on top of the usual Arnie action; like Predator or Total Recall, perhaps. Then again, you pretty much know what you're going to get when you walk into an Arnie movie and rarely need much more than that.

It is kind of funny to watch now in regards to the time period it encompasses though; mainly the turn of the century. It's creepy how easily scared everyone was about it and the Y2K bug is almost laughable when you look back at it now.

What can I say Ed, when you hate a movie you hate it. When you love a movie, YOU LOVE IT!

X-Men Origins: Wolverine 8/10

Unlike what people said, this was my fav X-man move for the sole reason that this one was truly intended to be a movie about wolverine. it had good fights, overall faithfulness to the comic, too bad that right after this movies comes the good awful X-man movies

Not a rip off of Godzilla at all. It was more of a Western spiritual successor, borrowing some ideas from the giant monster films.

Sabertooth does sort of act like a dog... he was chained to a wall as a little kid and treated like one. Did you ever read the comics?

Yes I did but they we were proven wrong in the story. Victor is Saber tooth and I except that.

Cloverfield only relates to godzilla in that its a giant monster stomping through a big city, but it ends there. The way it was shot and told was pretty fun to watch if you aren't queezy. But I can understand if someone just watches it casually, it could be boring and maybe a bit confusing.

Taken 8/10 While im not as in love with it as everyone else is, Liam Neeson is hella convincing in this movie, and the plot doesn't get in way of the arse kicking.

I don't care to remind how many people belive Dog actully IS sabertooth, somthing I really don't think is very bad.
Deadpool? besides the eyebeams and the katanas, fairly-well, you even seen the after credits scene?

Star Trek - 8/10
Never been a Trek fan, so I was curious to see how much I'd enjoy it. Had a couple issues with the story and wish there had been more action scenes on the level of the opening one, but I had a nice time overall.

Slumdog Millionare - 7.5/10
A good idea that I felt could have been done better.

Star Trek - 10/10

Story- It a great story and a actual plot they put in it was awesome to say the lest. It was better then the save the whales one lol.

Action- Just the right amount of action to make the scenes perfect.

Romance- Not to over the top, They made Nyota Uhura and Spock relationship go further then the show aloud them too. They didn't make Kirk bang every girl he see, but he was very flirty with the ladies lol.

Characters- They were pretty dead on in the person character.
