How involved did Kishi confess to being with this new movie? I doubt he wants to be writing Naruto continually for the rest of his life. Judging by the substandard quality of writing and art over the past few years, his dedication and interest was already deteriorating considerably since around 2012. It wouldn't surprise me if the recent spin-off was extorted out of him through contractual obligations or by a heavy sum of money being offered for an extension to the original series. Once it ends, his involvement will likely be kept to a minimum as he begins to push away from the worn and torn series to focus on new projects while Pierrot or some other company gets the creative rights to Naruto. 

And then Naruto gets reduced to series after series of Dragonball GTs.

Yeah, say what you will about Kishi but he would never come up with the idea for the last on his own.

Yeah...That troubles me because I thought it would be something else than a villain target movie, but instead, it already feel like typical SP materials. But we'll see.

Still. Why call it Boruto: the movie. Naruto and his wife Sasuke are going to do most of the work, what chance does Burrito and Salad have against someone like that.

Well, that's obviously just so Kishi can use it as an excuse to make Sasuke his teacher. I bet the only reason Hinata was given lightning, was so that it could somewhat make sense that Bolt has the same chakra nature as Sasuke.

Looks like it b/c he's using the Chidori (no way that's the Rasengan from the sound I'm hearing).

Going by this, this is pretty much the final farewell to everything using this movie. It's like Kishi wants to pull Rocky Balboa, dismissing The Last (Rocky 5). That said well I now see the real objective and it's not using the new generation as the new stars, rather using them to make the old characters to remember the days and time to pass it for good. The villain is most likely the one that Kaguya built upon. Basically, Naruto and Sasuke are the main show while Boruto and Sarada aren't really but more like witness the last going.

While it's easy to top The Last and believe me, it really is, will this movie be good? Well, Boruto isn't that focus, so that's misleading. If anything, he probably will as in lesson learn, but not taking over as in taking out the villain and what not. Naruto and Sasuke are the one to take him out. Now it all make sense. It's not about new generation, rather use them for plot points, since Naruto now needs a feeling of Rocky 5 story or whatever.

Bottom line, the movie is made for them, not new generation. So why end the series? I don't know. Maybe because it was there to say if you don't want more, at least you already ended. The series hasn't really gotten better after the end. The movie ending most likely won't be the ending to change all (examples like deaths, character drastic change, etc.), so I won't expect anything, including Naruto Gaiden. Quite honestly, I'm disappointed. Honestly, I should be thankful that it will just be better than The Last, but that's all I got.

Most likely is. It's one way for not forcefully use the pairing idea to make it work. Instead, just use Bolt trained under him. Anyway, it wouldn't matter much. Naruto and Sasuke is the focus and Boruto is the third wheel character. Damn, I forgot what you called them when they don't fight or be on par with the other main characters yet they are like second main character. Toriko and Shaman King have them. That's Bolt. It's sad because I can see the true target audience, which is easy grab. So yeah, they're using them again for a good bait, only it will live up to it. At least that's what I think.

Saw the trailer and yeah it looks like Kishi is just gonna push the nostalgia card most of the time, since Naruto's old jumpsuits and Sasuke's headband were shown. Bolt will be a second rate character in this movie, which is no surprise.
