No idea, it's different from the other weekly shonen jump series.
Maybe it is like the next death note. You know Kira x L.

Wow when I think about it, I don't read many shonen manga.

It probably meet its requirement to make a stir in Japan, alas their style being met. I don't know. I'm assuming something like that. The female audience is...striking...That somewhat tells me the whole story behind Naruto.

Ch.57 on webcomic, lol. I'm so behind XD What I do like though is that rivalry relationship b/w the two sisters. Interesting dynamic.

Mahou Shoujo? Imao, that's an interesting comparison. Tbh, the true problem with the anime in my eyes was that the MC didn't do anything for 12 kittening episodes... Adding a few more male characters would have been nice.

Oh, I see. He's a talented writer; I should have known that such a talent would be rewarded XD Mob Psycho? Is that also a webcomic?

Imao, the latest chapter had the MC kiss a girl. Fangirl screaming everywhere on tumblr I'm really starting to think that Assasination Classroom is more directed towards a female audience.

And in compensation what Madoka ends up doing in episode 12...damn

That's true... Kind of felt mislead tbh XD But the last movie was great. The ending sucked in my eyes though b/c Homura was my favorite character. While I understand why she did this for Madoka, I still hated it. Kind of destroys the sacrificial meaning Madoka did in the anime.

Overall, I think the series is ok in my eyes.

Madoka Magica spoiler

Basically:

-To become a magical girl, a girl has to make a wish to a strange emontionless creature named kyuubey, they have their wish granted and then as a debt they have to fight these twisted beings of despair called witches 

 

- It is revealed that magical girls are eventually turned into witches  when their despair levels are high because their wish is turned into something completely different from the original. this is all a plan elaborated by their emontionless mascot ( the reason being "the greater good)

 

 

- Homura is a magical girl with time related powers (and the true MC), her goal is to make sure Madoka does not become a magical girl and then a witch because yuri  she was her best friend in the orginal timeline

 

-Ep. 12 happens because Madoka learns of Homura's secret and ends up making a wish, but there is the catch, her wish was to save all the past magical girls from despair and help them, in doing so she shouldered a lot of despair and became a huge witch herself but at the same time she also became a concept, basically a "goddess" because for her wish to be at every time and space to save these magical girls to actually work she basically needed to become omnipotent, and since her wish was to destroy all despair the concept madoka ends up destroying her own witch

 

-After ep 12, Madoka doesn't exist anymore since she is basically a concept and then the rebellion movie happens

 

 

Overall its a pretty solid story to  be told in only 12 episodes

Well PMMM was sold as a normal magical girl anime at first so you are right, it was all a big mislead 

I already expected Rebellion to end in a twist like that since Homura showed signs of mental instability and "yandereness" multiple times during the movie but still the way it happened was a surprise for me

 

I will not be surprised if they somehow release a season 2 in the future

I don't know about season 2... The creators in my eyes wanted to leave the story of at that ending in rebellion. If the series came back, it'll prob be more of a spinoff

 Different story is an alternate take on the story but focusing more on Mami and Kyoko, going through their past where they were partners and leading to a different outcome 

 

Oriko Magica is about another alternate timeline of Homura where she is antagonized by a another magical girl named Oriko with the power of predicting the future 

 

There is also Kazumi Magica but this one has no mention of the original characters, I didn't got very interested in it

 

Different story is pretty good (even the art ), Oriko magica less so, and the art is not that great compared to the original anime

Kiss a girl you say? Is it a pairing or just a random moment? I have no idea but SJ sure got attacked badly with brand new audience. Luckily sports manga is legit good and others, well, BnHA is doing good which I do like, so I guess it's not all bad. Maybe I should check out AC though before I seem biased.

Thanks, i've seen Code Geass and half an episode of Fate/ Zero but I just couldn't get into it and the others I've never heard of. I guess I'll give Psycho Pass a try.

The first episode of Fate/Zero is mainly introduction and explanation. I expect it to be boring. You should give Fate/Stay Night- UBW!
