His inconsistency and treatment of the females in this show is pretty disgusting. I find it offensive and it warrants a slap in the face.

Kishimoto has more than once defined "Kage" as either simply the leader or the strongest. However, as it pertains to Naruto it's often presented as an ideal as well. So if anything is disgusting it's allowing a character who also sees it partially as an ideal (Obito) to live the dream that way when there may not be a person who has failed as completely as Obito of embodying that ideal. Connecting it to Obito cheapens it so much.

If Kishimoto's intent is what I think it is...then that is worse than what Sakura got.

Kishimoto has more than once defined "Kage" as either simply the leader or the strongest. However, as it pertains to Naruto it's often presented as an ideal as well. So if anything is disgusting it's allowing a character who also sees it partially as an ideal (Obito) to live the dream that way when there may not be a person who has failed as completely as Obito of embodying that ideal. Connecting it to Obito cheapens it so much.

If Kishimoto's intent is what I think it is...then that is worse than what Sakura got.

I've thought the same thing.  I like the All-Kage idea, I just don't know how it would work, exactly.  Depends on how the story ends.  I mean, if the point has been for Naruto to end the cycle of hatred and the flaws of the ninja world, what would be the need for the Kage system -- including an All-Kage?

 

If all the ninja stop fighting each other, what will provide conflict in the story?  People from a secret island or distant continent?  Aliens?

I honestly hope Sakura doesn't get a random power up honestly. I liked the fact that she was the most 'human' of the team. However I doubt she could be of any help fighting DBZ level characters. The only way I see her to be useful is to get a random power up floating around somewhere. Maybe Rin will bless her with, the strength of 1 million technique that no one knew existed until this point.
 
 

Made Up Sakura Power Up

The Infinite Tsukyomi holding everyone looks kind of like a tree, Sakura = Cherry Blossom which can lead into trees. So she gathers the chakras of everyone in the Tsukyomi using her perfect chakra control and strength of 1 million. It all gathers into one pink sphere on her hand which she closes her fist and super punches the living crap out of Kaguya.

I think I can work for Kishi at this rate.

And how does Sasuke define the term? What does Sasuke see as a "Kage" being? Power, respect, ownership?
