Hey guys, shouldn't Naruto be the first to know that Sasuke is still evil? I thought he could sense the badness in people?

He might now, notice beginning of 633 as they both observed each other and end of 631 where he mentioned "I will deal with him later" he already knows sasuke is planning something. I think right now he needs his help to work towards this common goal and therefore will be able to fight against whatever sasuke has up his sleeves faster. That's just my two cents on it.

Simple, he is naive.

He didnn't look suspiscious at all when Sasuke arrived, which was why I trusted him for some hours.

Naruto may have sensor skills, but he's not seeing with them. Kurama might be able to detect something, it would be more in character for him to warn Naruto. Or maybe he knows that he's only a temporary ally, I don't think he suspects Sasuke will betray them like others do.

Idk I feel as though he does which is why he seems to be enjoying the moment. This is the last time him and sasuke will fight towards a common goal an I think he knows it. But he has had suspicions and knows he has to deal with sasuke later on as he has mentioned so I feel as though he should be aware

Do you think Gamabunta rescued him from the lake he was bleeding to death??? That could be the reason why he's" busy" as stated by Gamakichi. I'm beginning to think he might still be alive, but what he's been doing all this time???

Someone mentioned that Bunta was wounded the last time we saw him, but idk if that would contribute to him being "busy" right now. The name Jiraiya keeps popping up and I'm keeping my hopes high that he comes back!

I'm not sure if there are any more slugs besides Katsuyu.

 

Gamabunta is most likely busy healing.

 

And there is Saiken (the Six-Tailed Slug) but he's been used to make the Jubi so...

 

But jiraiya doesnt use Gamabunta he uses a frog that has two swords.
Gamabunta was mostly Minato's summon than Jiraiya.

 

Jiraiya only summoned Gamahiro once in canon, during the Konoha invasion arc in Part I, and come to think of it Jiraiya has not summoned any toad more then once.

 

If I'm not mistaken Jiraiya only summoned Gamabunta once during the Search for Tsunade arc where he also summoned Gamakichi, and during his fight with Pain he summoned Gamaken, Fukusaku and Shima.

 

Also it was shown that Gamabunta is about Jiraiya's age, since Gamabunta was depicted at being about half the size Gamakichi was during the invasion of Pain arc during Jiraiya's Sage Training.

i don't want jiraiya and tsunade revive as edo, because i belive orochimaru will use karin and suigetsu as the living sacrifice.

 

and about sakura, don't put your hope high, because i don't see her get a fight. maybe again orochimaru or jugo.

and her jutsu likely same with tsunade self healing or slug sage mode, other than that i doubt she will get it.

I would agree with the last statement if all the people who have died so far for character development weren't brought back to life at least once to interact again with the person who needed that development, it just doesn't work like that anymore.

Great chapter.

 

Just my two cents, I think both Naruto & Sakura have an underlying feeling that this will be the last time Team 7 will work together. I think that Sakura's tears were because she's happy seeing Naruto and Sasuke work together, creating a powerful attack and at the same time she knows this might be the last time that it will happen.

 

I don't think that Naruto is that naive anymore. He just trusted Minato saying that Sasuke is with them and helping them but I think he feels that it won't be for long. They still need to face each other off at the end of all this. We'll probably see his reaction first next chapter.

Im starting to believe that to. I think he is dead , but the fact that he wasn't brought back make me suspicious. Yes he was really deap in the ocean, however he was a member of Orochimaru's team. So for me Orochimaru obiouvsly had a part of is DNA somewhere. A hair or something. 

But if he was still alive , why did we don't see him since is fight ? don't make sence.

Maybe, but the problem is that Sasuke is with Orochimaru on this one, or rather, the other way around. I feel like their fight will be on hold until either Orochimaru feels right to take it or Sasuke finds no use of him since he could backstab at anytime.

Ok, I'm beginning to think Naruto knows Sasuke has a true intention in mind. If you look back at the last chapter, it seems like he doesn't like his action, regardless if it helps. Usually, when he's in rival, he will be smirking or happy like "Oh this is interesting", but there's none. Actually, what's making me think more clearer is chapter 631, because he claimed that he felt their presence, but when he heard the news that he's on their side, he was shocked. Why? Shouldn't he already know when he said, "Yeah, felt Hokages, but there are more." It's as if to say, "Dad, you don't see what I see. He's there with a reason." Remember, Naruto can feel negative energy. People would argue, well, what about Minato? He has the positive one. Difference right there.

 

Lastly, it's possible that becoming Hokage is a lie because Naruto can tell him, "Do you know the true meaning of a Hokage? It's not about how strong that person is as a man, rather what his people cares about him. The people who the Hokage loves will make him/her stronger. That's the truth of being Hokage. In other words, you use the title as a lie to make us at least accept you that you're doing it to protect the village! I knew the real reason to become a Hokage, so I didn't buy your story! I wish we can stay as Team 7, but...Tell me! What is your real goal!? Sasuke!!!" So yeah, the Hokage talk can go two ways: Naruto going to school him on how to be a true Hokage, or the fact he doesn't the real reason is a lie itself which already made Naruto know he's hiding.

 

Bonus, here's one interesting note I found. When Sasuke made a decision, his last words from Itachi was no matter what he does from here on, he will always love him. To me, that pretty much say do it as you will to make Itachi's work worth it, even if it's dictatorship, he will still love Sasuke. That means Sasuke can do anything, so long he feels like he's pleasing Itachi. I didn't notice till now, but the reactions from people with his decision were....questionable. In fact, Orochimaru's panel with him smiling tells me otherwise as well. It seems like Orochimaru and Sasuke may hit jackpot because again, the one thing that's not yet revealed is their talk about why Orochimaru attacked the village. To me, I think Sasuke took notes from that and see it alternative to it. Pretty much, he won't do what Orochimaru did, but he will do it in a way that makes it work and you know what Orochimaru didn't do: dictatorship.

 

Well, we know now that he has darkness in him as well as secret plan that Hokage is no longer an actual goal. I can see Naruto seeing the bs that Sasuke said and Naruto will be the one to get pissed that he is hiding something. I do think Naruto may ask him where's other and Sasuke may reply, "Who knows" or give him a real answer. Chapter 8 marks a turning point. Can I be wrong altogether? Yes, but extremely unlikely for Sasuke's darkness and hidden goal to rule out. The only question is when will he exposed it. Well, this is going to be some crazy future in store for us.

I'm convinced that Naruto is aware, or at least has an inkling that Sasuke is going to turn on him and the Alliance once Madara and Obito are dealt with (the Ten Tails' fate is debatable). He can probably guess as to when this'll occur, so long as he keeps his chakra cloak active (he'll likely detect the spike in Sasuke's emotions when the latter is about to make his move), but it can't read minds, so he won't know EXACTLY what Sasuke has in mind, or how he intends to implement it. That may be where Naruto's caught by surprise.

 

Alternatively, Sasuke may offer the Alliance an ultimatum before he takes action. Once this battle's over, he'll re-state his intentions and give them a choice; stand down and let Sasuke take the Hokage seat unopposed, or refuse and be destroyed. However, this scenario would involve Sasuke aquiring something (or someone) to use as leverage against the Alliance, because as it stands he and Juugo are outnumbered. Examples include the 5 Kage (if that's what Oro & Co. are there for), the Feudal Lords, or even the Ten Tails itself. This might be where the scroll he got off Suigetsu could be key. Also, Sasuke has 3 of the 4 previous Hokage with him, whom only retain their free will on Sasuke's whim (or at least for as long as Oro continues to indulge him), and can command them to turn on the Alliance when the time is right. I don't think I need to mention the turmoil Naruto would go through facing off with his own father...

 

As I said before, Sasuke is in a very good position here, and is just biding his time. Though, it seems suspiscion is starting to emerge.
