Kishi plz.
I've been waiting for this every since Shippuden start...

Not to mention that all that she has is basic healing jutsu, nothing more. I mean, no foreshadowing that she's going to be a next Tsunade...
Not to mention that people say she'll never be because she's a normal girl, not a half Senju, half Uzumaki which makes Tsunade so badass and highly resistant and large chakra pools.

Sorry I might sound rude, but trust me I'm not trying to be rude, I will only ask you to back of from that thought since Kishi made many foreshadowing about Sakura being powerful in the future, once by Kakashi at the start of the manga by saying that she has genjutsu skills, again by Kakashi saying that she will surpase Tsunade and finally by Chiyo stating that she will surpase Tsunade.
The only problem I see here is Kishi failing to fallow up with what he already hinted.

Why you resemble me so much?? Tsunade is my other fav. after Sakura. I mean, they both share my no. 1 spot and it's so hard to accept her death.

No, don't worry, you didn't sound rude at all and I know about the foreshadowing that's why I've been waiting. We have Kakash stating that and only imagining to be a good medic/tank like Tsunade is with those genjutsu abilities already my heads starts spinning round, however, seeing that Kishi doesn't do anything, it's kinda... sad.
Not to mention if I look at the drawings back in Part 1... Everything for Sasuke/Naruto/Kakashi have been some way or another transformed to cannon, only Sakura...nothing. No Slugs, no axes, no knife, whereas Naruto's scrolls have been present, Sasuke's mangekyo and gourd and that flute, Sasuke with his only scroll but Sakura... Sakura nothing.
It hurts to see so much potential being trashed away... I know I sound negative, but for a bit, try to be me, a Sakura fan that has been waiting for years for something, yet, all that we kinda got was nothing of that kind, only romantic involvement.
I don't want her to be just a...how people would call her "pairing fodder".
To me, she means much more than that.

It's a time for hinata to grow for her own and become strong not for naruto but to assume the leadership of her clan.
I think kishimoto will make hinata obssession for naruto stop.
Thanks, man. And yes, yes, yes to Hinata moving forward in her own, positive direction.
In all honesty, it was my immediate impression even upon reading the early spoilers. After reading the chapter, and thinking it through to make my wall-of-text post, it's the only thing that makes sense to me.
Exactly. Who knows if it will happen for sure, or if it does how it will, but I can see Obito pouring fuel on the fire trying to break Naruto's spirit.
You, my friend, have just made a post full of epic win.
That's precisely what I'm hoping to see from Hinata in the next chapters. I want her attitude to go from the timid girl she always is to one that if full of resolve so that she doesn't let Neji's sacrifice go in vain.
Thanks! I have never been able to relate to Hinata, nor do I find anything realistic or interesting about her, but she is nevertheless a nice girl. I really want to see her become the leader of her clan, a strong person capable of standing on her own -- and not defined entirely by her crush on a boy who appears destined to be with another girl. As I said, I want to think that's exactly what Kishimoto is shooting for with Neji's death.
This thread has gone way off topic for several pages now, and maybe no one is interested in talking about the chapter. But I'm still thinking about all the other stuff that happened so forgive me.
Obito said, "Next... we slowly cripple them with despair." Then he did the Mokuton piercing element and Neji died from it. Is that it? Or is there more "crippling despair" and death ahead?
What is Naruto's next move going to be? Will Obito target someone else? Will Sakura make it to Naruto to see if anything can be done for Neji? Will she heal Naruto's shoulder? I'm really curious where people think all this is going next....

God help me!

Because neji was a underdeveloped character, there was any better character for kishi to kill

Now not only has he failed to save a friend, that friend is now dead. Considering his dream to be Hokage is connected to his ability to protect his friends what will this mean for his confidence or his will or even his dream to be Hokage. If Tsunade dies and he is chosen to be Hokage will he feel he is worthy.
I'm curious to see how he will respond to Obito's taunting his inability to save his friend. Because i truly believe that is what Naruto is going to feel these coming chapters and for someone who has been giving a lot of pep talks lately I expect Naruto will need one himself, probably from the K11 hopefully from Sakura.

That's why I think it'll make the possibility of Naruto making the ultimate sacrifice to bring the victims back is slightly higher. To take that path would be a fitting conclusion to Naruto. If you linked back to his previous commitment about protecting his friend, yet he failed to do so, wouldn't it send a bad message to the readers?
So, we got a fictional hero who talk and dream big (creating a world free of hatred, promise of a lifetime to bring his comrade back, become hokage, never go back on his words, protecting his friends, etc), yet one by one it seems that these so called hero claims and promises don't seems to be deliverable. I don't think we want that aren't we? Readers clinging to the hope that he'll deliver all these promises. If he can't succeed, what's the point?

"I'm sorry I didn't believe. But I'd given up believing in so much, until I met you. From the first day I saw you, you were everything I ever wanted to believe in. You can do this, Diana. I know you can...But I have to go."
"What? What are you saying?"
"It's okay, this is what I came here to do. I can save today, but you... you can save the world."

why naruto? when we have obito, this does not make any sense.
Obito will do the same as nagato and bring back everyone.
The same asspull twice.
Does not make sense for him to make an ultimate sacrifice this is the worst ending possible.
IF he cant succeed just die? stop living as obito? he will fail anyway.
I tried to understand this, the ultimate sacrifice for me was on Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, he give up his powers to bring his brother back, he didnt fail.
He did not die and at the same time he fullfilled, he was a hero if naruto would have to do a sacrifice the best possible option was to give up Kyuubi or Juubi if it was possible.
And moving forward still alive become hokage etc but not the same powerfull shinobi as before.

But here's the thing, Neji and Sasuke are two completely different scenarios. One is the savior, the other needs to be saved. Naruto couldn't protect Neji if it was on Neji's own whim to sacrifice himself for Naruto. Granted, it is indirectly Naruto's fault, but this chapter is the perfect reminder for Naruto and the viewers that Naruto is the person who changes people, alluding to the future TnJ of Obito.

Mhm. Just like NH fans say now that Naruto and Hinata connected a deeper bond when they saw Neji die for them, Tsunade has an even deeper bond with Sakura and Naruto. They'll mourn together
