I read a bit more translated info on the movie, and it seems like Tobi's genjustu affects everyone in a different ways, i.e. Hinata thinks she's Anko, hence why her jacket is open in the poster, and Ino thinks she's Hinata hence why she's dressed as she is in the poster. It also explains why everyone else looks different, because they think they're someone else when they're not. The only people that seem to be fighting against it is Naruto and Sakura, although Naruto still falls for it somewhat since his parents are there.

That's pretty much they're trying to say, everyone believes they're someone else thanks to Tobi's genjustu.

Is that so? Where did you read this info if I may ask? This is starting to look more and more strange. It still doesn't explain why Choji's and Kiba's markings are slightly different in the teaser poster.

Sometimes you really can't rely on that translated info because we know what happened there, but whatever the case, I think we'll just have to wait until the actual movie comes out before assuming too much.

I think whoever posted it photoshoped it so it was just Naruto and Sakura showing.

Toasty I can't find any official source for the info you found about identity switching, but TV Tokyo (they broadcast Shippuden) has a bit of story info here in Japanese. Nothing about identity switching in that synopsis.

They are the source that lists the main cast as only Naruto, Sakura and Minato. No Kushina in the main cast, so I guess she's just support. I'm slightly disappointed because I'm worried that might mean she won't get a good fight scene, just some interaction scenes with the main three. (hopefully there will be a few scenes with Sakura). However, on the other hand, I am happy that we might just get some Sakura and Minato scenes. I hope so, because they are intelligent people with somewhat similar thinking styles. I'd love to see them working together trying to come up with a solution to break the genjutsu, and also Minato commenting on how, although Sakura thinks like he does, she also reminds him of Kushina- said with a knowing smile as he looks toward Naruto...

Right now, we only got that synopsis to rely on. Yes, there is that main cast listing. About swamp personalities, I believe the genjutsu is the cause of it. Remember the synopsis. They can't possibly spoil the ending or towards to the end. Basically, that synopsis is the introduction. Chapter 1 will be the ambush of Akatsuki (I think) and Tobi. Chapter 2 is where the movie begins. I can't guarantee this but I feel like this is where they're going.

As for Kushina, perhaps she will be the main minor character, much like Shikamaru in the manga. I can only hope.

I have a feeling this movie will create chaos among NH and SS fans. But hey they will argue it's filler it doesn't count, but wait Kishimoto wrote the story of the movie so it can be count as canon material.

Well, I just better listen to the official synopsis then, and I'm glad about the cast being just Naruto, Sakura, Minato, and Kushina. All canon characters and no randomly created characters to steal the thunder from the main cast or some girl trying to get into Naruto's pants.

I gotta say, only Naruto and Sakura were in all movies, whether Sakura play a role or not. The fact they always have them and team 7 shows that they are main characters and nothing will change that. Funny, I always assume Hinata will play a role in Shippuuden movie 2, but boy, I was so wrong.

Interesting, that I didn't think of. What if he genjutsu Naruto in order to extract kurama. Naruto will believe that he's in peaceful world with his parents being alive. That way he's off guarded from extraction. Maybe. Gah, I demand new information.
