Finally a day off from running lights and sound at Mom's rehearsals, and I wake up to find a list of errands she wants me to run around town. Gee, thanks Mom.
But, considering I don't have much else to do today anyways--and the chores aren't too time-consuming--it's not too much of a hassle. Just mildly annoying,
I wish it was the end of August already, so I could head back to school. I'm ready for classes, and for a steady social life lol. Oh, and most especially: I told Itachi/Connie that I'm getting rid of a bunch of anime and wondered if she'd like any. She said she would, and that she'd pay me half in money and half in Panda Express. Looking forward to both the food and the money--some of the money will go immediately to catching up on manga and Shounen Jump issues. The last one I picked up was issue #6 and I just saw #8 at the grocery store the other day... I'm only buying up three series anymore (since money's tight and I read most things online), and #5 of Dengeki Daisy's been out for at least a month now. I'm dyin' to have it X(
Speaking on manga physically on my shelf (as opposed to stuff read online...), I'm thinking of getting rid of my Naruto volumes.... For one, I need the room on my bookshelf for other things. Two....I don't really reread them, and when I do need to look up a chapter, I just do it online. I'm all for collecting things, believe you me, but collecting the Naruto volumes doesn't feel very fun anymore. Maybe it's 'cause the chapters are so much further ahead online, so when I get the new volume it's like unnecessary backtracking. Or maybe it's just because I don't reread them; what's the fun in buying the newest volume if I'm only doing it so said volume sits on my shelf all the time?
To explain it a little better: the other two series I'm buying up are Library Wars and Dengeki Daisy. Library Wars I'm buying up because I love it, and because I can't find it scanned online anywhere. Dengeki Daisy I can and am reading online--the online chapters are farther ahead than the volumes. But I love it enough that whenever I get a new volume, I sit down and reread it, and I enjoy rereading it just as much as when I read those chapters the first time online.
With Naruto, I don't get that. There could be any number of reasons why that is--my love for the series not being involved, I'm sure--but even without uzzling out the particulars, I just know that buying up the volumes isn't fun and therefor doesn't feel worth my time and money. So when I look at my shelf, and all 51 of the volumes I have, I feel kinda...frustrated. I think, "Why do I still bother with these? I don't need the volumes to enjoy the series, and because I have these here I have to stack other books haphazardly".
So...yeah. Short of the long, I'm hoping to get rid of them somehow. Dunno how I'd do that since the only bookstore I know of that takes manga just closed a few weeks ago, and none of my friends would be interested in taking them even if it was for free... I can only think of one friend that reads Naruto enough to possibly be interested, and that's Connie, but I dunno if she'd want to take 51 volumes...

Oohhh, Dengeki Daisy, I like to read it from time to time, is pretty funny and refreshing. Oh, I'm such a bastard, I read mostly everything online, the only mangas I own are 3 volumes of HSOTD and the first volume of Fairy Tail, and sadly, an volume of dragon ball, wich I colored since I was just 8 years old and I had no idea of what I was doing.
Bleh, I wouldn't bother with buying the Naruto manga, the series is quite hard to handle the way is now, sometimes I feel like giving up on it, if it wasn't for the fact that I need to see how it ends...

I looooove Dengeki Daisy. It's incredibly refreshing for a shoujo, and adorable to boot. Have you read anything else by the author? I've read two of his other works and they're fun too: Otokomae! Beads Club, and Beast Master. Both are much shorter than Daisy (like one or two volumes) but they're worth a read.
High School of the Dead...I was keeping up with that when Onemanga was still around, but (like a lot of other series lol) I kinda forgot about it once Onemanga died.
I used to be really into collecting volumes for everything I was reading; had a whole bookcase dedicated to manga. Buuuut that was in high school and my first semester of college--i.e., when I had monies lol. Now, I has no monies so I have to be really picky with what manga I buy.
Eeeenh, for me I'm still into Naruto--still care about the characters (well, the Konoha characters), still wanna know what happens--but not enough to want to collect the volumes. That, and I've gone back through the chapters so many times over the last year that I feel like I know the plot back to front; well enough that I don't really need the volumes 'cause most of it's in my head XP
But, I'm in luck 'cause I found a friend that said she's willing to take the volumes off my hands; she's been meaning to get into Naruto for a while but didn't wanna buy the manga herself or read it online. So now the deal works out for both of us ;P

No, never heard of this series, I will check them when I can. You know, if you want you can read scanlations on mangareader.net, it haves pretty much the same mangas that onemanga had.
Lol, I don't have money for mangas, all of it gets sucked away by buying games for my computer and PS3, these marvelous games with incredible stories that eat my soul DX
No problem if you still like naruto, I just gave my personal tought, I just think that series took an bad turn after Pain invasion arc, and still having trouble to recover, it's not like it got terrible, but it doesn't give that refreshing feeling anymore as it did in the past.

Oh I'm aware of 'em being on Mangareader; that's my main manga site now that Onemanga's gone (followed by Mangafox). It's just that I got lazy after Onemanga and it's alerts went away, and I haven't bothered to go back and look up all the things I'd been following. That, and school kind of limited the amount of time I could spend reading manga so I tried putting a cap on how many I followed. This summer's been the first time in a while that I could really dig into anime and manga again like I did in high school.
Haha you sound like my little brother, spending every new cent he gets on a video game.
Naw, it's fine; I was just responding to your opinion with mine--not trying to sway you or anything ;] I'll agree that it started to feel a bit stale after the Pein arc, but I keep hope that the war will kick it up a notch.

I agree to an extent. I just think that Kishi should have gone Nagato all bad or have him redeemed with those he killed actually dead so that way the village wouldn't necessarily agree. Though I do think that the manga could have done better for the entire second part. The Akatsuki were really cool villains in concept just weren't fleshed out completely.

my blog. it is a discussion board for the manga? lol
Iunno. I agree that the series started to wear thin after or around the Pein arc, but I've never given much thought as to why that is, or what could have been done differently to prevent it. And I'm too lazy to do it now XP

Her voice is so....squeaky. And the sparkles and the bubbles... It made me LOL.
Sorry, but...to me, nothing beats this:
Makes my heart skip a beat every time =//////= <3
And I don't mind a discussion happening here; it just made me laugh.
@Omega--You, sir, are incorrigible =____=

Take that!

Lol, B Gata H Kei is nothing but an big parody of romance series, lol, but it still manages to have some few sweet moments. I like how the protagonists relationship is very innocent deep down. Oh damn, now I feel like watching it again.

What....what the hell kind of stuff do you watch?? XD This series looks like the kind I'd watch when I was bored; not that it's bad, just that the characters don't really grab me so I'd only watch it for the hijinks if there was nothing else to watch.

Is that really how they censored that stuff or is this like a clean version or something.

Not talkin' bad about it, just saying it doesn't suit my tastes as far as a series I can really invest myself in goes ;D
