Relevancy doesn't always equal how good a character is. Look what happened to Sakura. :shock:

Sakura isn't that relevant.
She got more appearance because she used to be the heroine, hero love interest, and main character.

More relevant = Nami
Actual Goddess = Nami
Luffy's bae = Nami

Incredibly irrelevant, boring, and not a goddess at all = that one chick FY likes

Oda confirmed that Sanji's birth/origins will be revealed sometime in the manga in 2016! Potentially a lengthy (5-10 chapters) flashback.

Sanji is a royalty or part of celestial dragon.

Nami is descendant of the truly powerful kingdom who create polyglyph, ancient weapon, cloud island, Demi human, and devil fruit before the void age.
