I have to disagree. Sakura is about 30 in the epilogue. Becoming a mother brings responsibilty, and she isn't a teen who complains about cleaning her room anymore.

I liked Lupin but it's hard for me to get past James' and Sirius' assh*leness. >.< Also...I don't really like Ron/Hermione. In fact I think Hermione deserves better. XD I'm glad Jo admitted that they'd need marriage counseling.

 

I liked seeing the Marauders as young boys, prejudiced, idiotic a bit bullish, and I liked seeing (or extrapolating from the text in James' case) how they matured and what they became, even if they died very young (because at 22 and 30-something you still have a looong way to go).

I actually liked Book Ron, and how he could still be a hero when being a scatterbrained dolt, who didn't always think and acted as a boy his age. I liked Book Hermione very much too, she was very intelligent and full of positive traits, but at the same time she had many defects, which imho were grossly underplayed in the movies. She was too perfect in the movies. 

As for Ron/Hermione, I never had any problem with it (keeping in mind that I live and breath the book-verse) but I also liked the 'marriage counseling' thing from Jo, it's pretty realistic considering both of their characters.

Don't get me wrong, I love having grey characters. But how is Lucius escaping any punishment good storytelling?

If I remember right, the Malfoy didn't participate to the last battle and later helped the authorities with the apprehending of the other Death Eaters. (this is quite similar to something we have in Italy, in our legal system I mean, when dealing with the mafia, and the figures of ex-mafiosi who help the police when captured). I suppose he exchanged vital informations for his and his family's freedom. I actually never had much problems with this issue, but I suppose much it depends on what type of judicial system you're used to. 

 

When I said grey I meant, for the Malfoy family that they care more for each other than for Voldemort's plot (cue Narcissa who said Harry was dead when he wasn't.) as for Severus, he is an interesting character, and very much so, but as much as he loved Lily and died protecting her son, he also didn't much care about the moral issues linked to his history as a Death Eater; he was devastated and crushed after Lily's death (and he tried to do anything in order to save her: pleaded to the Dark Lord, warned Dumbledore etc.) and sacrificed himself for the sake of her son but at the same time I never had the impression that Severus repented from his days under Voldemort. So yeah, a grey character, definitely not a hero.

You're missing the point here. It's not that she won't clean as an adult. It's the fact that how these female characters are portrayed in this thing they call an epilogue. Some of you may hate me for this but I have to say it. There's nothing wrong with being a housewife.

 

However we're talking about female characters that can beat the crap out of people. And to show them in such a poor light at the end is a disgrace. Sakura for example is the only one that matched/surpassed Tsunade at such a young age plus she's just a normal girl that doesn't come from some special clan, and in the end she's dusting shelves. Hinata is apparently the Byakugan princess      and now she became the graveyards bodyguard/cleaner because she can use her daughter's hair to clean.

 

Ino is either homeless or doesn't have any money for some proper clothes. Temari someone that rivaled Shikamaru in intelligence appears to be a junky. Mei the one that wiped the floor with Sasuke is now fat and complaining. Anko a former student of Orochimaru is now a fat chick because reasons. Ten-Ten well Ten-Ten is Ten-Ten.

 

To portray all of the female characters like this in the end is an insult. All of them have either been reduced to baby makers or just erased from existence like Karin.

I love how he says that we "ignored" Sakura's "feelings" for Sasuke despite those feelings were never given any legit reason and yet the sexist author himself admitted Sakura loved Naruto as well as the manga , I love how he thinks development means nothing , I love how he implies that we read it wrong when this guy can't see further from his nose and see all the inconsistency and retcons  . I love how its always that excuse of it was never a perfect story  and Finally  I just kittening  Love  the level  of HYPOCRISY  THIS GUY/GIRL HAS  .

I've said it so many times nothing wrong with being a housewife  heck my mother/grandmother is also one  but they are also a women with careers  to .  And in this case Like  you said  these ladies are Ninja's/Kunoichi's  they had goals/dreams on their own  and they had a profession  which was discarded for the sake being  Baby Machine and a Housewife bc apparently that's women are good for  sign . Kishimoto could have shown Sakura as a mom and a medic  in the end but his overall sexist crap doesn't allow him to do that  bc Women has to stay home  while its Men the only ones who can work   its utter crap  its BS  so no more excuses please ugh !!! .

I hate NH cyberbullies' surfing around the web. NF, NB, tumblr, youtube, twitter, facebook... no matter where we are, NS fans are still bullied everywhere, like we used to be and we will still be like that in future. And now that the paper gave them the victory, they're acting more aggressively and are a such unbearable blowhards.

SS fandoms are like that too, albeit their behaviours look a bit less aggressive by using more the sarcasm.

Well technically speaking they are correct. There are no retcons in the last. The last just acts like the manga doesn't exist.
