Okay, let's all admit it...Lee was the only true badass of the series. His first fight against Gaara remains one of my favorite. 

 

And I would have been okay with Sakura ending up with him as well. Far healthier than SS.

I believe this image speaks volumes on how far she would go for Naruto. "I'll save Sasuke FOR YOU." Not for herself, but for Naruto. In my opinion, this also lines up with her "confession" to Sasuke and her motives behind it in Chapter 693.

Ok enough with the jokes. Truth is based on what I've read and watch throughout these years from the nh fans, I really do believe that's exactly how they read the manga when they read it.

Everything Sakura has ever done that was actually good they ignored and continued to live in their own fantasy land where she's useless and Hinata is the best.

No matter how much reality was in their face, they choose to ignore it.

Reality must've broken its hand slapping them so many times that it just decided they were a lost cause.

I just realized something.
 
Everyone was talking about the "love triangle" for Team 7, which later became a weird shape of sorts but then knocked down beyond proportion near the end, I realized that triangle doesn't make any sense because Sasuke doesn't even give a damn about Sakura, literally. Fans (especially SS) just add stuff to make their "pairing" at the time "legit", sort of speak. The true love triangle was this:
 
Naruto ----> (?<--)Sakura (Only see as friends aka platonic -->) <---- Rock Lee, with both Naruto and Lee are rivals respectfully not just for Sakura's affection only, but for the strongest (since Lee did noticed Naruto progressed over time). Kishimoto could've work with that and just had Sasuke's role to be Naruto's eternal rival and had Sakura, and Ino, immediately moved on to make the NSL triangle work.

 
Mmm well actually, love triangles do in fact involve parties where one likes the other but that other likes someone else, and it doesn't have to be requited. There are love triangles like that in love stories as far as I can tell

It's the same situation for SasuSaku, only the gender roles are reversed since they don't give a hoot about Sakura's feelings and just want Sasuke to be happy (even though he never wanted Sakura to begin with and continues to prove that).

That is true I mean Sasuke never gave a damn about Sakura and he would easly let her die to save his own ass, its why I don't get why people like Sasuke so much but then again you can tell Kishi loves Sasuke why would he have part 2 Sasuke with his chest showing think about it for a sec.

I'd retort that saying Sasuke did not care about Sakura is a matter of interpretation. The interpretation that he did, and was not being wholly honest in 693 fits best with the rest of the manga. The better complaint is that it is not reinforced enough that Sasuke does feel something, or not spent enough time on. Saying fandoms do this or that in generalizations is not only faulty and false, but there's no real way to back up this claim.

I'd also retort that it isn't a matter of Naruto not treating Sakura as a rival prize initially. It's, that he did. Unlike the above example, this -is- the correct interpretation the series lets you know you should have.

I'd also retort that every member of every canon pair has a happy ending, and not every fan is hyper-focused on a single character within that pairing as is
