My first impression of Toneri is that he a lot of potential to be a great villain...and then we found out what his plan was. That's when I lost all hope for him.

That ridiculous eye ability cropping up specifically for this film is being deemed as credible in the manga universe now? Nonsense. It has no place amongst the the ranks of canonicity, neither does the rest of the contents in Pierrot's otaku inspired shoujo when they contradict already established information like the year when Naruto first learned how to create shadow clones.

It doesn't make sense. But it's canon. Unless Kishi comes out and say that it was Hinata's genjutsu, which would actually make more sense. This movie is different to the anime filler because it took place as chapter 699.5 and the author confirmed it.

Pierrot may be Hinata fanatics, but as an animation studio, their interests lie first and foremost with earning a profit.

Yes, and that was shown with how they advertised the movie and their numerous frauds hiding that this is an NH movie. Only revealing the movie to be focused on NH AFTER people bought the tickets.

Their researchers must have gathered how disgusted people are feeling towards Hinata right now because of how overly-centric a film promoting fan favourites was towards a side-character who was practically non-existent until her relevancy blew up and she was transformed into a protagonist with the villain and the main protagonist falling at her heels at the expense of their dignity and consistency.

If they had this so-called researchers don't you think they would have known that Hinata has the biggest number of hate threads regardless of her being a side character? Especially, they should've known that a lot of Hinata hate comes from SP's over glorifying of Hinata. No, they don't know or they do but don't care.

It would be foolhardy to attempt this tactic again in an emotional climate that has become so resentful towards Hinata and Naruto. Their overzealous desire to force-feed this new protagonist and nH down our throats is only having the opposite effect by people feeling greater sympathy for those like Sakura who were abandoned to accomodate those two.

They knew Neji was a popular character and people felt sympathy for him. Yet that didn't stop them from creating interviews saying he only died as a Cupid or writing blogs that Neji sexually harassed Hinata and only wanted to touch her boobs. They brought opposite effects. What did they do? Create more

You give too much credit to these guys. You can see that the more the fans oppose the more they feel the need to force-feed us to convince us how the movie and the ending was 'great'. If they were smart, they would realize that force-feeding gives an opposite effect. They're not, and thats the problem. You can see this by how they delete one-star reviews and create five-star reviews in it's place that only contain words of FANTASTIC, GREAT, BEST MOVIE EVER!

 

If they want to keep what remains of their fan population, they'll need to try and remain honest with the next film's campaign slogan as the tale of the next generation with some Sasuke shenanigans throw into the mix, and keep Hinata's presence to a minimum. As I said before, I don't expect Naruto to have much of an appearance in the spin-off film. He might have a brief non-speaking cameo, but nothing more significant than Sasuke's role in The Last.

If they wanted to keep the fan population they wouldn't have done fraud to fans who loved this manga for years. If they wanted to keep the fans they wouldn't even make Boruto the main character. No they don't understand the fans. They will use the same tactic again and again,
 
How you think they would make a logical choice baffles me when everything they've done so far is illogical and irrational to the highest caliber.

My wish for the new year is not to have my sight ruined with more ugly brat from the Hyuuga/Uzumaki (*barfs*) family.

Those two are definitely more than enough, ugly enough and asspulled enough we don't need a third one. Especially if it steals the name of the NS child or desecrates names such as Jiraya and Minato. HEEEEELL TO THE NOPE.

 

 

P.S: I still firmly believe that those children were re-made at the last moment. That's why Burrito looks like a NS child, Himawari is worse than a W.C. with swifter-duster hair and Salad looks like a SK child. Because imo both Salada and Bolt had already been created (being the SK and NS children) and then Kishi(t) changed idea at the last moment and added all the other ugly brats (and changed the logical canon couples because BANANA).

SK didn't happen because in Kishi's mind you can't have Sakura be a strong, independent woman who's single or even let Sakura pine hopelessly for Sasuke with him not reciprocating it forever because moving on would make her "a terrible woman".

 

Even the latter would've been a more realistic ending than what we got, putting Sakura in a pathetic light aside.
