The thing with Sakura and Naruto is that Kishi or more like Yahagi (That's his name, right? I ask because I remember a couple of times I wrote Yahanagi in the past lol ) really wanted to show that one should always save their friends no matter how far they're gone.

Problem was this has gotten to the extreme and beyond it, to the point of insanity. He should've had a limit to it, which unfortunately was never implemented.

It's gotten to the point in which Sasuke can do anything to anyone, and Naruto and Sakura would not only be perfectly fine with it, but also defend him. Especially true with Naruto.

 

Yep, what seems to have been forgotten is that sometimes death IS the only way to "save" someone. Sasuke had shown time and again (before all the magic, out of nowhere character pivoting) that he wasn't going to stop and had no desire to change. He constantly needed vengeance (and most of his actions stemmed from that; leaving Konoha for Orochimaru, "killing" Orochimaru, joining "Madara", abandoning Jugo and Suigetsu after the Kage Summit, nearly killing Karin, etc.) and once the current target of his vengeance was gone, he simply shifted the target to something else while making any excuse to justify it; first Itachi, then Danzo, then Konoha, and even if he succeeded in destroying Konoha, what next?
 

 

Oh yeah, Naruto totally never loved Sakura.

Hmmm....I don't seem to see Hinata with any connection, much less any hearts...

So to summarize the facts, boys and girls, Naruto canonically loved Sakura and the The Last movie retconned this plain and unambiguous love to being a mere rivalry. This isn't an opinion. Even Analyzer believes this, which is why she insists you ignore canonical material.

I must be the only one who didn't think that her confession to Naruto was fake, but just done at the wrong time.

Agreed at wasn't a lie just bad timing. I'm wondering how would hinata have handled telling naruto to stop chasing sasuke? Naruto is just an idiot and has a man crush on sasuke and is Bascially sasuke's kitten to this day.

See, the reason I suggest otherwise, is when he has the opportunity to do so (Minato's departure), he doesn't do it, when he has another opportunity to do so (Sakura's Confession), we learn it isn't the crush that is driving it, and when he has another reason to not clearly make it teasing (Minato's entrance on the battlefield)... none of these really make it the romantic love it's put out to be. 

 

This is why, -maybe- the Last -doesn't- retcon anything. It more or less explains what the correct interpretation is, which it really is the definitive source proving these things wrong, if we are calling the rest of these merely interpretations. 

 

The Japanese language isn't as roundabout as English can be. It has several words for love and each have their own meaning with different levels of love.
Whenever Naruto's love for Sakura is brought up, it's the romantic type.

She would never have told him to stop. She would have let Naruto destroy himself to try to save Sasuke because she would think that was what would make him happiest and please him the most and thus love her more for it. Even now, despite the obvious acting out Boruto does, how out of control Himawari can get based on the Hokage one-shot, and how Naruto is clearly not truly at home, Boruto's mom doesn't even try to sit Boruto's dad down and seriously talk to him about such problems and how they're affecting the "family".

Nope. All Hinata really has is bewbs.

Sakura is physically attractive, has an actual personality, is willing to speak her mind, and so on, as does Ino, Temari, Tenten, Anko, etc.

Naruto characters do a lot of strange things that leave the readers puzzled and perplexed even to this day. That said, in this case, we're actually given an explanation on why Naruto doesn't act upon his impulses via a scene you like to pretend doesn't exist.

 

 Here's the bottom line: You repeatedly told us that Naruto never loved Sakura. You have now been presented with multiple pieces of canonical material that confirm he did. So the million dollar question is: Why should we take your opinion/head-canon over what the actual published material tells us?

Why are we NaruSaku fan? Analyzer. Do you want to say that we are just fools because we are NS FAN and we are only hypocrites to relate to the ridiculous NS relationship.

Somebody here just pulling legs, the only thing that Last cleared, is how much bs can be put in a movie, and how much damage one film can do to a franchise consistency/storytelling/logic. If whole plotlines of 15 years are resolved in a 30 secs monologue, key traits of characters retconed and characters starting to look ooc, and it's all canon, you can call it kitten. There is no rule that canon=good.

I know the comment is a joke, as well as the Sakura is addicted to Sasuke part. Neither comment bothers me. Just Kishi's sardonic humor at play.

It's not a joke. His honest humor was depicting the reality of what is shown in the manga.

 

I'll tell you again openly and plainly what Kishimoto said literally after everything being shown and done in the manga when he got pressured yet again : Sakura is addicted to Sasuke and Hinata's repeated joke-name as the big-breast character.

That came from the horse's mouth. No disputing that. Funny thing is, he's not joking.  He's basically calling Sakura-Chan insane for liking Sasuke and Hinata a blob of ink on paper with nothing but boobs.

Wasn't Sakura a weakling at the beginning too only to steadily get strong because of Naruto? And unlike Hinata, didn't we actually see this progression on screen?
