This is the LAST stand.

Fact of the matter is no matter what we hear, we have seen no romantic NH from Narutos side. No pics. No clips. Just empty words that contradict everything. No matter if it came from the horse's mouth. This is STILL a movie, I doubt you're going to spoil your own film. He had to answer that question without being ambiguous or people would start to question the ending.

I held on like a bulldog until 700. After that, it was over for me. I'm an optimist and have stood my ground when many were jumping ship, but the marketing seems too heavily laid to be a distraction. Seems like they'd get major, major backlash for all the building up of NH they're doing only for it to turn out to be a boldfaced lie. And after this interview, I just don't see how the film could be anything but what it's advertised.

 

Just my view. If I'm wrong...that will be interesting to see. I'm still interested in this theory...just, the little hope I allowed myself to have in it I no longer have.

Definitely!  I am actually probably ready to write the first chunk; might tackle it this weekend.  I have a pretty clear idea of how I intend for it to go.  Since the "wrongness" to me begins in the middle of 699 when Sakura goes "sorry for what?" at Sasuke, I want to make that the moment in which a universe sheers off thanks to multiverse decision trees.  Then have it paralleled in The Last for part two, then paralleled to 700 for part three.  Then have the 700 Sakura encounter the AU Sakura, Road to Ninja style, and have a heart to heart about why canon Sakura made such dumb decisions in 699.

If that translation for the rest of the interview is accurate, then Kishimoto flat out said the movie is about how Naruto falls in love with Hinata. No "ifs" or "buts" about it.

NH in this movie is probably going to be paralleled to MinaKushi--you know, how Kushina began to fall in love with Minato when he rescued her?

Appreciate it. Sometimes there are things in life you've got to do. For me, this is one of them.

I'm a writer, no matter the outcome I'll grow from this. I will have a new experience to tap into. Writing is all about emotions, so this will just fuel my work.

I'm not going to lie, this past week I've wanted to give up. But I'm wholeheartedly prepared for all of this and I'm not going down without a fight I can tell you that much.

That's what I was basically saying. But I have a habit of always, always, allowing myself room for error in my judgment. In everything. Because I've been wrong plenty of times before. My motto could practically be "nothing is 100% certain".

I hope this movie goes down and the worst Naruto movie in history.

 

I know odds aren't likely, but given the fact that this movie is a huge retcon of practically the entire manga, I would like to see SP and Kishi called out on this unjustifiable kitten they dare call an ending. Kishi spent 15 years writing the manga one way, only to drop a bomb at the last second and have the gall to try and milk this already kitten series for a mini series and movie.

Hinata is already in love with Naruto, so they can't parallel that. It will probably be some BS about the scarf.

 

The least they could do is leave Naruto's parents out of it, but I have no expectations on that. They might as well validate NH all the way.

I ran out of likes omg. This x1000! It's just so weird to have him spoil the movie like that? That means we already know what happens when it comes to love focus of the movie..and there's been a kitten ton of advertisement too. Kishi has never been so direct about pairings like this, better yet the movie hasn't come out yet and he's telling us this straight up? Lol, no, you don't do that. Monday we should get some sort of spoiler (I hope), hopefully we'll get some answers. If NS is canon, PRAISE EVERYTHING. It would explain the 700 ambiguity and the NS we've gotten from SP, the narrator and Kishi. 

Right now there's no point in seeing the movie from what Kishi has said. How Naruto and Hinata fell in love? Is that really important enough for me to watch the film? It'd be too predictable. Hinata gets kidnapped, Naruto realises he has feelings. If there's one thing I know about any author is we all love the shock factor. We love to mislead readers and then totally blow their expectations. Am I thinking to highly of Kishi? Nope. We all know he loves the shock factor. So I don't know why on his last feature film of Naruto, he's just going to discard all that.

And the money thing can work both ways if Japanese Naruto fans are as everyone keeps saying and this lame ending won't affect them seeing the film, why should an ending like this be any different?

Was thinking more along the lines of rescuing Hinata is how Naruto discovers him, ahem, "feelings".

I think this is the most accurate tbh.  Kishi pretty much calls Sakura horrible if she switches from Sasuke to Naruto and it has nothing to do with Hinata.  That's the reality and the cold hard truth.. double standard since he switched Naruto to Hinata from Sakura but whatever. Logic hasn't been present in this manga for a long time now.

It's all about the shock factor. Imagine the amount of popularity the movie is going to get if NS becomes canon after all the promotion, interviews and advertisements. LOL. Perfect for one last influx of $$$.
