Ah yes, Kushina's birthday in the genjutsu world, but I don't think time frame even matters there at all since it's so far off from the manga...
I was thinking about the movie real world (but even it has some noticeable differences from manga canon. Some divergence before- Konoha doesn't seem to have been attacked by Pain, no 4th Ninja World War, etc... all the Akatsuki are dead at what, based on Naruto's facial appearance and Sakura's facial appearance and hair length is fairly early on in part 2. Things just don't fit with manga canon chronology, so even it's a variant, where it may be Naruto and Sakura may have never encountered Sasuke after that first time in part 2, and he might very well be dead, without them knowing, having not been swayed by Madara's story and rejecting his membership offer- while still recovering from almost dying from fighting Itachi. Note, Sasuke is not attacking Konoha with the Zetsu Akatsuki in the real world at the start of the movie, note the Konoha 11 still are wearing their pre ninja war uniforms with the Konoha head bands on those that wear them... Yet Jiraiya appears to be dead, Naruto has had Sage training, doesn't show the Rikudo Sennin mode though, but yet he knows his parents looks and names....
Even the movie real world is a significant variant from the manga canon world. So yeah we now have 5 variants including the anime adaption of the manga with it's filler, three by Kishimoto, two by Pierrot. (I like manga canon best, so I'm hoping Mebuki and Kazashi make an appearance in manga canon now, hopefully there was enough fan enthusiasm at their making an appearance in the TV adaption, and the movie that Kishimoto will give them at least a cameo- would like to see them dressed in the standard Chunin/Jonin uniforms (like in "Road to Sakura's" flashback) with the Shinobi headbands in the current war mega arc. Wouldn't even have to have dialogue just a crowd scene with them in it.
Speaking of the Road to Sakura episode, I was quite amused to hear Mebuki declare that Sakura was more like her father than her. "Like father, like daughter" (Since Naruto is much more like Kushina than Minato) Perhaps Kazashi is where Sakura's high intelligence comes from and her intensely compassionate nature, where her feisty side comes from her mother (the last is probably the main reason why they argue all the time- and why little Sakura was so meek and fearful)
Sakura isn't an Alpha like her mom, but once she developed a backbone she started fighting her mother trying to dominate her- which is more than likely why she came to find Ino's dominant nature in their friendship so chaffing too. Her mother wasn't accepting her as as someone who was getting old enough to make her own decisions (and still doesn't seem to), and Ino was still seeing Sakura as weaker than her...
Neither significant female in her life was accepting Sakura as a person with her own goals and dreams. Tsunade finally plays that role for Sakura, which is why Sakura has a warm mother/daughter like relationship with Tsunade- mutual respect and support... Also Tsunade demanded a lot from Sakura because she believed Sakura was capable of it, so Sakura strove even harder to fulfill Tsunade's belief in her. (you can see hints of those dynamics played out in Tsunade's and Sakura's interactions. Shizune and Sakura also have a very subtle sister-like bond that occasionally gets hinted at. And Chiyo and Sakura quickly developed a kind of grandmother/grandaughter like bond. Ino does come to accept Sakura as her equal when they fight to a draw in their first Chunin exams and that restores their friendship. But Sakura's relationship with her mother is still troubled in the end because Mebuki isn't seeing her daughter as a young woman yet. She's still treating Sakura as a child who can't make her own informed decisions, which makes Sakura react intensely.
