With Sasuke it's not about the pairings. It's about the fact that Kishi had no clue what to do with him after Itachi's death.

Because that's where Sasuke's storyline ended and he became irrelevant. He became nothing more than Naruto lost pet.

And thus we have a mess of a character that really had no reason to exist in the story anymore and the writer needed to keep him relevant over the years. For example including Sasuke in the child of prophecy thing that was only about Naruto but Kishi needed to keep Sasuke relevant so Sasuke ended up being part of that nonsense as well.

Or having Sasuke declare that he will be Hokage.

 

Also the fact that Naruto kept chasing after Sasuke the entire part 2 for no real reason. Sasuke made it very clear to him and Sakura that all he wants is to be left alone. And Naruto kept pining over Sasuke for so many years annoyed people.

That part is actually understandable and believable. Since they were kids everyone loved Sasuke, and Naruto was always the loser.

So Naruto wanting to be like Sasuke fitted within the story. What's funny about it is that Naruto ended up exactly like Sasuke, in terms of everyone loving him in that movie but in the end ends up the worst scumbag of them all.

So I don't really see Naruto saying that he wanted to be like Sasuke as favoritism from Kishi. Other crap that he did yes, no doubt about it. But this no.

I disagree. Sasuke's revenge on Danzo and the rest was stupid. The Uchiha were planning a coup. Itachi stopped them on his own free will. All Danzo did was tell him hey you either kill them or you help them kill us, you choose.

Sasuke's revenge on Danzo was unjustifiable.

I didn't said it was justifiable by any sense, but it has logic behind it, as much as Pain's "justice" had it own way. Danzo was main reason of Uchiha's killing, Sarutobi tried to handle things in pieceful way. Sasuke could go back to Konoha - but really, is there such person, who will just forget about all his relatives where killed because they where threat to Konoha, and just live in that village? Sasuke was kitten, but he had his reasons up to the Danzo's assasination.

I think in the beginning Naruto wanted to be like Sasuke because of his strength and popularity and looks. These are all outside reasons.
Naruto would have to be seriously demented or ignorant as hell if he still wanted to be like Sasuke after finding out who he was as a person what his life was like and all the crap he had to go through.

Why does everyone say that Hinata AND Sasuke ruined the manga?
 
Hinata: No doubts! She's the reason why the manga's turned into a cheesy shoujo!
 
But Sasuke? I mean he didn't even want Sakura

 

For me, it's more about how at times, the manga is more about Sasuke than the titular character. The disproportionate amount of time spent on the Uchiha really ruined much of part 2 for me.

Nope, Sasuke understood that, and still choose revenge, he was blinded by sacrfice of Itachi, that's why. And on the War he was like a lost kitten, he searched for answer in Hokage's story, at that time he already walked circles in darkness, and then this "I wanna be Hokage" kitten went real. 

Sasuke was kind of realistic character with his revenge to Itachi. It's same with Obito, his path - show's that really no one is safe from falling into abyss of darkness. They had their reasons, but that's not mean they are justified by them. It only shows WHY they acted that way.
