Something I'm really confused about, is that since Kubo hyped platonic IR bond so much and always want them side by side, why not just make them romantic? It'd be so much easier, and he talks about them like they are soulmates.

 

I'd want Kubo to talk about IH like that too, since they got married and will grow old together. I'm not saying he should push down IR, but why can't IH be inseparable too? It's like Rukia is his most important bond but he married Orihime still. Doesn't mean he doesn't care for her, just that she's his second girl.

 

Honestly IR reminds me of SNS in this case, because their bond was really strong but in the end it wasn't romantic. I'd say NS is a lot stronger than IH though, yet IH is still stronger than NH, haha. x) I do think SNS is the strongest and most important bond in the Naruverse, but I don't think NS is weak in comparison, not like IR/IH.

 

I know my comments kind of shift back and forth pro/anti ending, but I'm really conflicted about it. I believe IH was planned, but I think the development should've been even tighter and more obvious.

haven't came here for a while. It sucks Bleach ended in such a rushed way. I prefer Ichiruki over Ichihime but I'm no very mad about the outcome. Although I wished Kubo gave more Ichigo and Rukia interaction but in the situation he was in I understand why he didn't.

I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that IH was a direct influence from SJ like NH was. NS was the exact same as IR. It was more popular than NH, Sakura was more popular than Hinata, but SJ or SP lied to Kishi about Sakura's popularity. They obviously have a type in mind for the girl they like to lead, and it looks like neither Rukia or Sakura fit that image, neither personality wise nor in how they look.

Oh dear...

So many used Bleach Japanese books. American verision continues to pile up. I'm trying to confirm that one person selling Bleach volumes since I saw two boxes and I saw a book size paperback. Too curious...

How would you guys have designed and wanted Ichigo's bankai to be? And what abilities??

Because his current bankai is a major downgrade in my book from his trademark bankai design that we have come to like...

I don't know. His first Bankai was the best.

Alright....how bout the version he used against aizen, the handle becoming a part of his hand and the chain going around his entire arm, but instead let it cover his entire body in armor??

And when he goes on the offensive he puts on a black hollow mask??

Kubo is known to make cool character design.

For me, his hollow form bankai is the best.

I think this discussion is civil actually. There's no bashing and nobody is even snarky. It's about a passionate topic, but we're still not throwing pitchforks at eachother. Debating about shipping isn't bad in itself.

 

It's alright to disagree. I'm not a fan of Ichihime, but I don't hate it and I'm not surprised it became canon. The only thing that bothered me about the pic was that Ichigo and the kid's blonde hair.., plus luffy put it in a spoiler tag so if you don't wanna see you don't need to.

I've only seen NH fans who are also IH, but with NS folks it's a bit of both.

But I don't think the situation is comparable at all..this ending didn't asspull all the ships or turn the past 15 years upside down or rip Ichigo of all he stands for. I hate when people say this is Narusaku all over again because it's not. :/
