Also, sorry, but I think you might have misunderstood me. I didn't mean to imply that Sakura being equally as bad as Naruto was portrayed in The Last, I meant the end in general. Both of their characters were killed in two different settings; what killed Sakura was the ending of the manga, and what killed Naruto was the movie. The Naruto that appeared in the movie is a piece of trash, and the Sakura we saw at the end of the manga was was a piece of trash as well. In the end, to justify Hinata, Kishi turned them both into shallow hypocrites that ended up abandoning people close to them (Sakura abandoned Naruto in the manga's end, and Naruto did whatever the kitten he did in the movie). 
 
To me, the end of series Sakura is just as bad as the end of series Naruto, if that makes any sense. I didn't mean to make it seem like I was defending Naruto at the expense of Sakura, sorry about that...

Hm? I was talking about you comparing Sakura in chapter 699, 700 and Naruto in the LAST. Sakura not talking to Naruto equates to her abandoning him? If that was the case, she wouldn't have healed him in chapter 699. You're over-accusing Sakura's actions so it would look like it equals Naruto's actions in the LAST by saying they BOTH abandoned people close to them when that wasn't the case with Sakura. How is this not defending Naruto at the expense of Sakura?

I would agree if you said Sakura's character was destroyed in chapter 699 and Naruto was destroyed in the LAST and leave it at that. And sorry, if I misunderstood what you meant.

Well, I looked back on this story with statemens that came up from "The Last". Let's see what story was about, and I'm not going to twist fact's:

1. Shinobi - only tools? (Same place where Naruto started his own nindo to fight for only what he thinks is right) True - Naruto was tool of Hagomoro's plan, SO6P used him to settle the conflict, same did Black Zetsu with Uchiha's.

2. Hardworker vs Natural genius? Hard work will benefit in future (Rock Lee, Gai, TenTen, Sakura, Naruto) False - Rock Lee got nothing, Gai got a weechair for life, TenTen - became misirable, Sakura - became dustcleaner, Naruto achived nothing with his own powers, he only got Hokage title because of Kakshi.

3. Loneliness of Naruto - was his motivation to become someone better than he was, he wanted to make friends, with people. (that's why he used to be prankster) False - Hinata was always there for Naruto.

4. First one who acknowledged Naruto more that jinchuriki was - Iruka. False - Hinata was first on that.

5. Naruto was the only one who understood Sasuke's feelings after he lost his parents, so that's why he wanted to be his friend. False - Naruto saw Sasuke only as rival.

6. Your destiny(Fate) determines your outcome - True - Neji was destined to die for Hinata, and it Naruto wasn't a boy who achived anything by his hardwork he was reincarnation of one strong person, that's all. Sakura that tried to fight a life of mare woman to be strong one - ended up nowhere, as much as Hinata was destined as Hime, and was irrelevant to the whole story - became one main person to the whole world, because of plot reasons. So what is written by Fate - cannot be changed.

7. Naruto's maturity of feelings (One when he fough for his love (Sakura) as we though, against a person who know none of love (Gaara) and pu his life on line, Two when he risked his life to save Tsunade, bring Sasuke back, give'd Sakura - POAL) False - he was a spoiled kid, didn't know what is love to female until 18, and was led only by rivaly with Sasuke.

8. Saving Gaara - because he was one of his closest friends, who achived what Naruto wanted, and because he had suffered almost same childhood. False - Hinata was always there for Naruto. So he only went to save Gaara because of mission.

9. Naruto - the only one who can supprass 4th Hokage - True - Naruto managed to finish Rasengan.

10. You can only trust money (Kakuzu) - as we saw the ending and part 3 - True for Kishimoto.

11. You can't trust anyone except yourself (Zetsu) - True, Madara, Obito and etc. 

12. Nagato's way of "justice" - True - Naruto kicked Sasuke's ass, so he only lived the way Naruto wanted it, he didn't changed his feelings, it wasn't shown to us.

13. There is exit to this cursed world (Naruto) - False - Naruto didn't change anything at all.

14 . Next generation will surpass previous (to Naruto) - False - Naruto didn't get a girl he loved (due to original Manga), he didn't became hokage as Itachi/Jiraiya taugh him, he didn't became good father at all.

15. I never go back on my word! That's my nindo, my ninja way! (Naruto) - False, didn't confesse to Sakura after saving Sasuke, didn't changed Hyuga clan, didn't found answer to how exit this cirlce of hatred curse.

16. Mother dying wish came true - False not even one bit of it.

17. Uchiha - the one who's love is the strongest one - False? - Obito awakes MS due to strong feelings to Rin - true. But only time when Sasuke awaked something with MS - was due to his feelings to Karin, and where did that ended up? Nowhere. 

18. "Those who break the rules..." - False - Hinata many times left her teammates on battlefield only to fail on the way to Naruto.

 

And that's not even all "messages" that "The Last" and chapter 700 sends you.

So far story will teach little childrens only:

- Be where you are, if you worth enough - everything will come in hands of yours.

If you still has the volume, could you check the validity of this poll.
Usually, jump will include the poll result in the volume release.

There's not a huge difference between sakura's and hinata ranking ! We can even see that hinata once was ranked as the 20th favorite character...
And so what she is a popular character, that will never excuse what kishi has done to his manga...plus there are other characters that are more popular than her but they didn't use that to do the movie which would have brought them more money...this is just a lame excuse kishi and sp came up with to 'hide' their biasness for hinata...

I hate to say this but I'll say it.

Want to know why Sakura's assasination isn't equal to Naruto? Because she got so little spotlight to be exposed as anyone else, so it's less damaging. It's like with TenTen, anything small use is a welcome change.

It isn't a coincidence that in the last databook that Tobirama inspired Minato (at least his technique). Bravo Menato, you took lessons from two of the most cool characters of the story. It's a shame you've got a kitten conclusion though :(

Maybe abandon was the wrong word? I mean Sakura didn't even acknowledge his existence. He even said thanks, and she just ignored him like he wasn't even there. She just...brushed him off. All because Sasuke gave a half assed apology that wasn't anything close to believable. And then later in 699, she was getting ready to abandon everyone when she asked to go with him. Idk, the entire situation hurts.

But, I guess in the end, it all boils down the same way, the end of manga left Sakura broken and unrecognizable, and the last left Naruto broken and unrecognizable.

On the other hand - I see no point in arguing about this, they both where demolished because of only their relationship, does it matter whether they was shooted in head or stabbed with knifes?
