Id have to agree TenTen in my 3rd favorite kunoichi, she really needs more screentime.

I think the only reason Kishimoto hasn't is because he just imagined her as this vaguely tomboyish girl, who apparently had some feelings for Neiji, and wanted to be a strong fighter like Tsunade.

He's actually done more for her character development in the last 100 chapters than he had done for most of part 2. He gives a hint of a friendship between Tenten and Ino in 458 and makes it more clear they are in the recent hot springs illustration, she gets a fun tomboyish scene in battle and her excited reaction to the battle fan of the KinGin brothers....

The friendship between Ino and Tenten is interesting, considering the marked differences in their personalities. Ino is a dominant type but likes to be girly in a sexy way. Tenten isn't a dominant type at all, but nor is she a doormat- she complains when pushed into something she doesn't like, but she doesn't appear to have any interest in "girly" things at all.

I wonder if from the way Hinata is looking at Sakura in the hot spring picture if Kishimoto might be having Hinata finally show an interest in being friends with another girl (although the way Kishimoto drew Hinata looking at Sakura was more as if she had fallen in love with Sakura laugh.gif

How did you come up with that? To me she's just sitting there smiling normally. But yeah we get to see Hinata hanging out with other girls.

Who knows?! Maybe Hinata is just a lonely princess who wants to play with all the normal girls?! biggrin.gif

Hm, it does look a bit like she's looking at Sakura's backside. smile.gif

Yeah I was referring to that picture. But I still won't say she's looking at Sakura fondly in that certain way. Oh well I think its up to individual interpretations. Damn it Hyuga clan! Why don't you guys have pupils in your eyes?!

I too don't find girls hitting boys funny. I find it rather lame in fact. But this is fiction, of course things will be exaggerated. Tsundere hitting the main character has always been the staple element in mangas/animes and are almost found in all of them. Anybody took history of Japanese media and knows the origins of the Tsundere formula?

PS: I'm a guy. cool.gif

I, too am a bloke.

Now, as for the whole Sakura hitting Naruto bit, at first, I did not like it when I've started watching the anime and think why does he love her if she keeps hitting him. Then real-life intervene and I actually learned the concept of the Tsundere and known and realize that she does not actually hate him, well she did hate him at first, but she did not understand him at the time. Quite the opposite, and that she cares for him, but she need to do something to get through his head, if talking does not work, and that the caring would lead to love and our happy ending.

Y'know, you two might be surprised if you met my sister and brother-in-law. She always hits my brother-in-law everytime. Literally. It's ususually, as you guessed it, because he does things that hacks her off or says things to the point that gets her pissed. But he only does it just to get my sister riled up on purpose and I always have fun watching their antics. Funny thing is, my parents act indifferent about it. If anything, they're slightly confused.

Speaking of which, she's pregnant now. Wonder if she'll keep this up when the baby's born. I'll be amused if my niece acts the exact same way she does as of now.

^^

I'm not saying I hate it, well I mean I did hate it at first. I had a female friend that did that to me, unforuntatly, I did not take the hint, and drove that relationship into the ground, but everything's all right with her and became friends again, took three years to fix the ship, but I did it, however, it could have been better on my part.

Yup I know in real life some girls do hit guys they like. I'm not surprised by it. I'm just saying that manga and anime's overuse of it sometimes make me roll my eyes, initially anyway. Now its a common thing in japanese manga/anime. In fact I can't recall one without a girl hitting a guy. Maybe avatar but that's american.

Most of the girls I've been with have hit me like that some degree, usually after me teasing them. Personally, I'm fine with it. I much prefer girls I'm comfortable enough with to tease and get hit a little, as opposed to overly sensitive girls who make me feel like I'm walking on thin ice constantly.

Let's hope Naruto's the same way. wink.gif

Well they'd have to be tough to cope with him as a boyfriend because he's blunt, loud, and overly active laugh.gif
And they're STILL not taking down that Sakura is still in love with Sasuke comment dry.gif (GEEZ seeing that makes me sick to my stomach)

Well, I wonder how the other shipping forums are doing with this dry-out period, because it is killing me here that we have no narusaku moments for like 70 chapters and I think it's killing them more because they have little/none canon support on their side plus this dry period.

I think I see ciardha's point. The "hand on the chest just above the heart" is pretty much a universal gesture for swooning or deep emotion. Not saying she is enthralled by Sakura's backside, but all the pieces are there if someone really wanted to believe that. fu.png

^^ Yeah that would count, I just meant a narusaku interaction. So with Kushina that's like 40 chapters ago, seems about right, just seems longer though.

Yeah, I think Kishimoto was having a little fun throwing a little disturbance into the rabid Hinata fans (the ones that hate Sakura) by doing a drawing that had the look of her developing romantic feelings for Sakura- or at least her backside wink.gif

Yeah it must be some friendly pay back from Kishi to all those fans who bash Sakura and support NH after reading all those bashing letters I would feel the same way and tease those fans to make it look like Hinata likes Sakura (I can see the yuri fans cheering for that. fu.png)
