very good, seems like the man has lost any credibility he had left, good luck with your spin-off and your next manga Kishimoto.

About Naruto he's now officially one of the worst main character ever, they really did a number on him beyond any kind of redemption possible but beyond any particular character the manga itself has been destroyed. Maybe there's still hope and the Naruto franchise will disappear once and for all.

 

Ironically, a recent poll taken has Hinata and Naruto listed in the top 3/5 of most liked characters in the series. Sakura was #1 for most disliked on the list.

Keep in mind that it was originally Pierrot's idea for a movie dedicated to nH's culmination. Kishi had no idea how these relationships came together. There was no intention of trying to justify them with writing because he's a self-admitted dimwit when it comes to romance. The "rivalry" comment, assuming it was derived from Kishi's thought process and not Pierrot's, was a means to an end for trying to to undervalue the importance of Naruto's bond with Sakura while reinforcing the virtually nonexistent relationship that existed between Naruto and Hinata in the manga. It was despicable, yes, but ultimately it would have never existed had it not been for Pierrot's insistence for creating a shoujo based in the Naruto universe.

To be honest  everything they say only contradicts itself  so what they say and who's idea it was  I'll take it with a grain of salt  , Fact of the matter is  both  Kikitten and SP are at fault , Kikitten in the end allowed it  and was included personally  , this also wouldn't had happen if he didn't make the ending as he did  and gave a green light for this crap  , to me they are both at fault  they are the same piece of kitten afterall    .

I've already seen it. The one where Tenten is ranked higher than Kakashi or Sasuke right? The funny thing is I never knew this magazine existed. None of my friends have heard it either. And I don't see people on 2ch talking about it either. As if Tenten ranked in the top five or Hinata having more popularity than Naruto, Kakashi, or Sasuke is a 'reliable' poll.

It was posted by Fouranger I think. Tbh, I rely on her as much as I would TakL. So take that as you will.

Sasuke is popular because he is an anti hero.
After all, many people love anti hero.
Sasuke is not a villain. I agree with magiccounch about sasuke as antagonist.

And I always see ss as shoujo pairing. You will find the kind of ss in shoujo manga.

Imo, Sasuke wasn't THAT good as an anti hero ! I generally love these kind of characters...but Sasuke,idk, I think kishi failed somewhere while writing a good development and personnality for him...it lacks a lot of things.
Yeah, a lot of shojos are like this, but the difference is shojos are mostly about romance, and it involves two main characters which one (generally the girl) influence th e other and help becoming better and save him...Sakura never saved sasuke even if it was her plan in part one...
Naruto is a shonen, the MC is supposed to get the girl, especially when they had that much development!

I know which poll youre talking about, I would take it with a grain of salt tough.

Sasuke biggest problem as a character was that he was doomed since the beginning to turn into a Naruto fangirl by force, instead of letting him do things his own way and find his own answers he was forced by Naruto and Sakura to give up his path and marry someone he never loved, Naruto and Sasuke have been damaged by their so called destined friendship, they should have gone at the end of part 1 trough their own journeys, Narusasu has destroyed both characters while NaruHina was the just the finishing blow for Naruto.

Oh, believe me, there's no doubt that Kishi is also responsible for that quote being inserted into the film. My point is that Kishi's original intentions might have been different before Pierrot "inspired" him to fabricate some excuses leading to nH.

Another thing, aren't people unhappy about the lack of screentimeof other members of rookie 11, and the disappearance of yamato,orochimaru and so on... Or just as that japanese girl said no one cares since the NH and SS attract all the attention ?

Everytime I see that "Sakura was too rude with Naruto, she punched him many times, but Hinata was kind with him and etc etc etc" FFS! So many canon couples had that in manga:

Rurouni Kenshin - Kenshin and Kaoru - became canon

City Hunter - Ryo Saeba and Kaori - became canon

And many others. Even some not confirmed couple have that as Rukia and Ichigo interactions. If someone trying to justify this ending in any story-wise way, other then Hinata's IT - I'll get a strong feeling punching them. If you look at all this mess within 700 chapters - it's a horrible end to such a great story even with a Kaguya mess, NARUTO was the main hero, and it's HIS wishes must be fulfiled by author, not some kittening minor characters that got 1% of screen time in 15 years.

That Japanese girl didn't say that. She said people don't care about Karin. Regardless of fandom, that's true.

And as I posted before the lack of screen time of other members are precisely one of the reasons people hate NH now.

So if that's nothing but an unsupported forgery, where do the actual popularity rankings stand? I would assume that in spite of everything that's happened, Naruto would manage to stay in the top 10 favourite. Sakura is probably below that.

I didn't say it was forgery. I just said it was unreliable when most people don't know this otaku magazine existed and therefore the voters only represent a small portion.

Remember the character poll chatte posted? It had Sakura in the top three but that poll itself isn't a reliable enough source because it's a poll asking Japanese businesswoman.

The total actual character polls are in the databook. Go check it out. I might be wrong but I thought
