Fun question how would you imagine the first official couple date for Narusaku to be like if it had happened?

This isn't something to believe though, it's not subjective. Naruto -never- gave up. It's like being told a green leaf is purple, and defending it despite the contrary.

 

If Narusaku had an official date, having turned out differently, my guess is it'd be a dinner date, something casual, probably Ramen. I don't see it being anything special, just two people beginning romantic steps together. On missions they'd have been flirty, which would have annoyed or brought smiles on whoever was with them, depending on who it was.

and this is why I feel a good fanfiction like "the best dates are the cheap ones" debunks your argument and why the ending is more of a bad fanfiction. because on that date, a date crashing a wedding and having the time of your life, was more fun than a formal dinner. and that's the kind of date naruto would go on, something unpredictable, he's the most unpredictable ninja. ryu hayabusa is a better ninja than him after this ending:

One problem with this one video:

Kishimoto said in one of the volumes he thought of Sakura as his own daughter.

 

He doesn't get it so let me spell it out:  he cared about Sakura so much that he wrote her amazing in part 2 before the kage summit.

He doesn't get that without her love for Sasuke and her stupid and selfish way of thinking, just her attachment to Naruto and her being a strong woman, she would have been one of the top most well written heroine female characters of all time.

 

If you take out Hinata and Sasuke, and just have everyone else, and focus on Naruto and Sakura, you have an amazingly written pair of characters and an amazing story. 

 

Sasuke was to blame for the story going downhill, Sasuke was to blame for Sakura being hated. Hinata was the reason for the ending getting messed up, Hinata was the reason Naruto's character has gone downhill. Take them both out and what do you get?

now do you get why we like Naruto and Sakura as characters?  Food for thought.

 

Notice how you have to break Naruto and Sakura's bond for SS and NH to work: Because Naruto and Sakura's bond is true friendship and true love.

The problem Kishimoto, is you tried to retcon the story and development of these characters for the ending, and you even messed up the journey to the ending. The journey is one of the most important parts. Marketing messing with that ruins it. That's the reason people are wary of Pokemon Movie 20, not nostalgia glasses.

 

A character should never be more important than the story, other characters, and journey.

 

I went as far as posting this as 3 comments, twice on the same video, and even corrected all the grammar on each comment. Did the same here. xD

Sasuke is an integral part of Sakura's dvelopment though. Take that away and what do you have? Not the Sakura we recognize and love. Heck he's part of Naruto's development too. What does stupid and selfish thinking mean? You make this phrase but do not quantify it. Are you talking about her love for Sasuke? Because it certainly turns into a selfless love. I'm not an SS fan, will repeat, but Sasuke is part of Sakura's development, even though the ship itself could use more development.

 

Why is there a random If we take out Hinata? If you take out Hinata, technically, Naruto would be dead. The Story would have ended with Naruto going to the dark side at chapter 615. Or dead in the pain Arc. Or even beaten by Neji in part one. Sure, you could change that, but you're doing some heavy, significant re-writes. Sasuke had little to do with Sakura's hate. The pairing is pretty divisive in you either love it or don't/hate it, but putting the blame on Sasuke is silly. I laugh a little because we as NS always turn this around and point fingers at our "enemies", Sasuke and Hinata. and bame them for everthing. Guys. Guys. At least you aren't insulting them horribly.

 

What retcon? There is none that he tried to do for the ending. I can't understand "Marketing messing with that ruins it", as its not a coherent phrase.

 

A character should never be more important than the story makes zero sense. A character should never be more important than other characters and journey makes -zero- sense. Characters are part of stories, they can hold importance within the story, but they cannot be more important than the story itself, it is impossible? How does that weighting work? And characters -can- be more important than other characters, and that importance is not always static. Finally, a character and a journey are in two different realms, their weight is not comparable, and is completely subjective whether the plot or characters are more important to have. (Truth: They are equally important. Which is why these phrases make no sense).

And you just proved you haven't watched the video above or any videos and brought this back into shoving your belief down our throats, congrats. The video talked about the reasons why people hated Sakura, guess what, all those reasons are because of her love for Sasuke, her friendship with Ino getting broken over her love of Sasuke, her being shallow, and everything else on the list, even her becoming a ninja. Meanwhile with her bond with Naruto in part 2, she was amazing, and she only regressed whenever Sasuke or her love for him is brought up, because she couldn't get over him like Bulma did Yamcha because Kishimoto thought that made her a bad woman.

Also, Hinata was barely in the manga and didn't get introduced til the chunin exams a year or more after the series started, will have to research to be sure. Sakura already was written to be more important than Hinata. Hinata was only there to support the story of Neji and the Hyuuga clan in the first place. And Hinata is a moe character and selfish and one track minded, whereas Sakura in part 2 was a tsundere and strong woman and well written female character and selfless. Naruto was the selfless well written strong hero, he regressed into a horrible workaholic father and Hinata doesn't have a backbone to stand up to him and get him to come home,  there is no spice to their relationship. SAKURA DOES AND WOULD NOT TAKE HIS CRAP. SPICE CONFIRMED.  Take Hinata and Sasuke out of the picture and what remains:

The bond of Naruto and Sakura, and the story and all the other characters and their development and the journey.

Think of this for a second, there are 2 choices:

1. Rewrite Sakura to where she became a ninja to surpass Tsunade, and become the top medical ninja, and grow attached to Naruto. And retain her friendship with Ino.

2. Have her move on from Sasuke to Naruto, like what was supposed to have happened during the war, what we all hoped for. and Rekindle her friendship with Ino.

 

Both ways, would have made this story awesome and stopped the haters.

How do you analyze something harder? Clearer diction would help me interprit your meanings better.

 

SS is a wildly popular pairing. While it is why some people dislike Sakura, the true reasons lay in her inital selling IMO, she's a super powerless girl (No eye abilities/jinchiruuki), the most relatable, but she has these inherint things that make you dislike her: This disregard for the main character, who everyone is going to sympathize with. So she's already set up to not be liked immediately. Sasuke is too, but Sasuke has cool powers, is the last of his clan, an orphan. While Sakura hsa a family, so there was less to balance it out. She grows out of it, and many liked her more, but the first impression still stood for some and it never went away.

 

I'm still not understanding your Hinata argument. Are you saying she is more important than Sakura? Also how are you saying Sakura has a selfish and stupid mind in the last post, and now saying she is selfless and strong? Generally selfless and strong though, I do agree with, and should have been your initial stance.

 

...Hinata is not a moe character in any sense of the word. If you feel that way towards her though, okay, TMI.

Naruto is the main character of this manga, it is named after him. his feelings come first,  even his feelings for Sakura.

Hinata is a side character that is hardly shown, she appeared in the chunin exams and fought Neji and had the moment with Naruto, then she appeared at the beginning of part 2 after the timeskip and met Naruto and fainted, then she appeared in the Sasuke retrieval arc and tried to interfere with Naruto's fight and Sakura stopped her, and Naruto was just fine. then the pain arc happened. and the confession. then she appeared getting owned by zetsus and had people save her, then she appeared with the rest of the ninja heading to Naruto and said that she would move on from Naruto. then the hand holding moment happened, then her tripping over a rock while Sakura saved Naruto. then her selfish dream of Infinite tsukiyomi, While Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke fight Madara, then  Kaguya. then in chapter 700. Naruto and Sakura's relationship was always made more important than his relationship with Hinata's, even his feelings for Sakura, even hinted in data books of Sakura returning those feelings.

Their relationship was more impactful to us, because we used the manga as our main source, not the anime. 

Dragon ball uses the manga as its main source and look at how good its been, in comparison to naruto using the biased stuff in the anime as a source.
