Kishi said one canon pairing with development. Now who is the pairing with the most development in the entire manga it's a no brainer?
By the way Shippu-chan what color are you going to paint your hair this time?

-Hinata deserves Naruto because she has always love him not that b**** Sakura.

-Naruto doesn't love Sakura he loves Hinata.

-Sakura still loves Sasuke according to the latest Kishi interview.

-Sasuke loves Sakura.

-N/H and S/S is more popular than N/S so those pairings have to become canon in the manga.

And more blablabla I am completely ignoring them.

By chance were any of you were ever SS, NH, or SN fans before converting to NS?

I kind of sort was N/H and S/S a little on the edges during the chunin exams I even thought those pairings were going to become canon, even if I was loyal to N/S. Now I regret thinking that those one sided pairings are going to happen I am ashamed of myself.

I never was SS, NH or SN fan. And I did not ever think some of those pairings might become canon. And I never imagined there was a ton of fans believing they were going to be canon.
I always thought if Naruto ever hooked up with someboy, that person would be Sakura.

<--- same
I actually found the notion of Sasuke and Naruto hooking up because of "the kiss" so laughable that I nearly fell out of my chair when I read it.

Last I checked Naruto is a shonen NOT a shonen-ai.

We've already discussed the one dies at the end option (looking highly unlikely from what the plot path looks like, slight chance, but not likely) Here's another plot choice which is controversial in the west- Sakura and Naruto become a couple (offpanel become sexually intimate) and Sakura becomes pregnant with their child. It's at this point that Sasuke and Naruto have their big battle. What makes me think Kishimoto could chose this plot route is that it would parallel Minato and Kushina's life and Kishimoto did say in an interview that he was going to reveal what happened to Kushina. Kishimoto loves bringing out generational parallels and he hasn't revealed Kushina's fate yet.
A couple of reasons why it is a controversial plotline option-
Naruto and Sakura's age- but Chiyo and Tsume would have been right about the same age as Sakura when they became pregnant, so it's not stigmatized in their world for a 16/17 year old kunoichi to have a child. We've seen that around 16 in Naruto's world people might see you as young and inexperienced, but basically an adult. Much the same is how an 18 year old is viewed in the industrialized real world countries. Naruto's world, despite the modern technology, is more like how the western world and Japan was before the 20th century in some ways, including how teenagers are viewed. Even in the later 19th century a 16 year old, although not having the full rights of an adult until 21 was basically seen as an adult. Even in the 1930's when child labor laws went into effect that influence was still there- you could legally drop out of school and go to work full time in an occupation, 16 year old girls could still marry legally in many states without parental consent (especially if they crossed state lines- which is exactly what my maternal grandmother did in December 1932). Up till WWI little was done to check the ages of soldiers enlisting to fight in wars (little was done to check gender too, there were a number of women who disguised themselves as men and fought even in the US Civil War) and as long as they were at least 16 boys weren't generally discharged when their age was discovered, even in WWII. (a few managed to fool the enlistment people even during WWII)
In a world where child soldiers are the norm, adulthood comes sooner. (although it looks like the age minimum for Genin was raised from the time Itachi graduated across all the ninja countries. There doesn't seem to be any more 6-8 year old Genin- Sai is the youngest of Naruto's generation to graduate at 9. Everyone else, no matter how talented, was in their 12th year- at minimum turning 12 later that year, when they graduated. And look at how during the invasion of Konoha during part 1, 9 year old Konohamaru is seen as noncombatant and a child and was evacuated- where his uncle Asuma was a Genin at that age. Itachi saw warfare apparently even before he entered the Academy. Madara says at 4 years old Itachi had seen warfare, mostly likely because to Fugaku, any Uchiha evacuating during an attack on Konoha would have looked weak.)
Another reason it's a controversial plotline is that it looks like it's supporting a traditional mindset that men fight, women have babies. People who know I'm a feminist will probably be shocked that I will say- not always. Kishimoto could do this in such way that it's not about that; that it could be a loving and heroic choice for Sakura. I'll leave it at that and open the debate floor. (I have mixed feelings about this plot option, but if I think it's being done well I enjoy it.)
