One of the big reasons Dragon Ball has lasted so long into Super, despite being so much of the same general thing (over-the-top, flashy fighting), is largely because it doesn't try to make itself out to be way more than what it actually is. It didn't go from big fights and saving the world / universe from Frieza / Cell / Buu to suddenly trying to be all philosophical, preachy, etc. to the readers / viewers like Naruto did, and got way worse at. Naruto started out okay, but then kept trying to paint itself as so much more by throwing in so many different and unnecessary things that it couldn't keep itself straight or consistent anymore.

Yes that's the video, their are loads better anime/manga series that are so much better than naruto like, trigun,claymore, soul eater, one piece, rave master, fairy tail, Ruby, cowboy bebop, yu yu hausuko, d igimon, yugioh gens,hellsing ultimate, kill LA kill, attack on Titan. Just to name a few didn't include dragon ball cause it's too obvious.
I just finished season 3 of star wars the clone wars the 3d one and so far it's so good and better than naruto. Ahsoka is a great character and they made anakin an actually character despite what happened in the prequels.

Oh we did talk about other anime.I just don't want them to say my "two cents" because they will try to say their two cents of giving it a chance despite not seeing that the franchise is not that good anymore. Hell, Dragon Ball Super is tons more better than this BS cash cow and I'm so excited and hyped while watching the Universal Survival Arc.

Same here I mean yes it did start of bad with the filler episodes being better but just look how they have all grown as well I mean namely Vegeta holding his daughter shows how better he is than Sasuke.

 

The way I look at it is Super is doing well at character growth very well, sure its over the top but remember DB has always been like this from a rabbit that could turn people into a carrot and then was sent to the moon by Goku, all the way to where we are now. Does it make sense no, but that is the fun in it the creator does not want readers to over think it he just wants them to have fun.

 

Hell again look at the female in DB they may not be planet busters, but they still all do what they can, but let me ask who are you 10 fav females from DB Derock and why?

Vegeta is now a better main character than Goku. It shows how he's changed since the sayain saga. His best moment in z was in the Buu saga when he give his life to try and stop buu.

Yes it was and i'm with Joe on wanting to see the superman everyone wanted to see with earning his death and how cheap it was. It's like Naruto in that way.

So I just got done with the bolt movie, and I was surprised it didn't suck but it wasn't good either. One positive I can give it is the English dub cast cause their good even bolt's and himawari's was good and Sarada's was great since she's voiced by Lucy from fairy tail. Sasuke was not that bad in this he was actually was a teacher to bolt. The final fight was better than the toneri though the villains were lame. It's a step up from the last that's for sure. Hinata was barely in a it since good. The little we saw of Sakura was good. Konohamaru was a good teacher and it shows how far he's come.
But the day naruto became hokage ova was kitten and that's it.

this has a couple reasons why i am not interested or excited for justice league or the dc movies after man of steel. seems like all the movie industry cares about is making money instead of sense. it makes no sense why they reboot superman in man of steel just to kill him off again one movie later. it feels mediocre at best

 

 

personally i would have preferred if they just continued with the superman in superman returns instead of doing another reboot with less light moments

I kind of feel the same way, but I still want to see it.

It is kind of the same reason why I am not excited for the new Spider-Man: Homecoming.

It doesn't feel like  a "Spider-Man" film because the film doesn't seem to focus on Spider-Man so much as it focuses on Iron man and Tony Stark. Heck, even the villain Vulture's whole purpose in this film is because "Tony Stark pisses him off."

Maybe the film should have been called "Iron man and his apprentice." Marvel is focusing so much on Iron man on being this "cash cow" that the plot suffers too much.

Spider-Man was supposed to be something more. This is why I still feel the Tobey Maguire one is still the best. It was Spider-Man at this core and although it is not perfect, it is the closet to the comic book feel as you can get.

Dragon Ball hardly have any females in the spotlight so I can gather the following females I know:

1) Android 18 - My favorite DBZ female of all time and I'm super hyped what's she's going to do during the Universal Survival arc. Will she team up with her husband, her brother, or BOTH? One thing for sure, this is the time she need to be back in the battlefield.

2) Videl - despite the fact she hardly does anything in Super, now she's a mother, but I loved her dynamics with Gohan and her family. The filler with Great Saiyaman was top-notch for her defending Gohan when Barry trying to blackmail him was perfect!

3) Bulma - Of course, Bulma is a major support character, she'll gets screentime every chance.

4) Future Mai - I was surprised that Mai "survived" in Future Trunks' timeline and watching some clips, she was very interesting and the only human to survive Goku Black's attacks

5) Chi-Chi - I wish Toriyama did more with Chi-Chi not only in Super but in the entire franchise. She's the wife of the most powerful martial artist on Earth (Universe 7), she could at least participate in the action. Super Dragon Ball Z (video game that came out around 2006 for PS2) took a very interesting turn for her as a playable character complete with the Power Pole, Bansho Fan, and Flying Nimbus for the flight parts of the gameplay, as a shout out for old school Dragon Ball fans since Goku is based on his DBZ and sequels self. That version of Chi-Chi I wished Toriyama thought of at the time and expanded it during DBZ so the cast wasn't "sausage-fest" since we had Android 18  the only one who keep up.

Very true and a good list as well I know that Android 18 will kick ass as Toriyama says that both she and 17 can train to get stronger but again we need to wait to see what she and the others can all don in the arc that is to come as right now we are seeing what the team can do heck we have already seen a mini team up with 18 and Krillin and how well they will work together.

 

With Videl true but as you said she is a mother maybe one Pan is older we may see some action from Videl, but it shows how good she is and how much she is grown as well, I will add I love how she had faith in Gohan when fighting Barry, and people say she is like Hinata.

 

I will say this I am hoping to later see what Pan can do when she is older that is one of my hopes for Super, I am a little sad that it won't be Pan to be the first ever female super Saiyan but it has been shown that Pan is powerful, just look at her family and even Vegeta has said hybrids are far stronger, and she is far more fun to watch than two other kids in another show that we must never say.

Naruto vs sasuke part 2 is underwhelming because it's too short for me atleast. Aside from the fact that the motivation is poorly done, the fight itself is so short that only last for 3 chapters. That's supposed to be the last and hype fight for 2/3 of manga. Ichigo vs aizen has stack and it feel more like buff orocimaru vs naruto as final fight. I think there should be 3 naruto vs sasuke fight.

And yes burito would be the reharsh of naruto and buritoxbakura will become canon since there is no basuke but bai. Anyway burito will become the next bleach since bleach is the succesor of yuyu hakuso and the director is the one who direct it. Expect a cute shinigami to appear, but don't worry about shipping because childhood friend>shinigami.

18 will always be awesome and she's a good mom even if all she thinks about is money she still cares about her family. It's going to be awesome seeing 17 again since he never met Goku before. Bull kitten videl is like Hinata, videl has faith in Gohan always where as Hinata barely has any faith in naruto unlike Sakura who always had faith in him job matter what happened. Plus Hinata doesn't have faith in naruto if she has to send her bratty son to save him.

I'm confused on who this is for, the second half of the 4th fight between naruto and sasuke was just a rip off of snake vs ocelot form mgs 4 only lamer, lazier and kittenier. Is this post supposed to be a joke?

Yes that is right, even kingdom Hearts and devil may cry 3, and revenge of the sith, dark of the moon got this right with sora vs riku and Dante vs Vergil, especially devil may cry 3 where Dante, obi-wan, Optimus where willing to kill their brother, friend and mentor no matter what since they knew what would happen they where left to carry out what they wanted.

Agreed, but when would that take Place? Also that would be awesome to see happen showing how much she has grown since part one.
Unrelated note I saw the bolt movie and it was average at best, and it's a huge improvement over the last. It's got a lot of problems namely naruto, but the cast for the English dub was good even naruto's kids had good actors and Sarada who is played by Lucy from fairy tail and gown up konohamaru was good.
But the new ova of naruto being made hokage was kitten and himawari is kittening terrifying. Over all I'd give bolt a 5/10 which is weird cause I really wanted to hate that movie. Plus Hinata and himawari are barely in it and do jack kitten and Hinata has to be healed by Sakura again.
