when i think about it the only good arcs from part 2 imo are the rescue gaara and pain invasion. with the gaara arc we had sakura fighting (very rare) and with the pain invasion we had a godly setup with naruto training. it almost walked off into the sunset until nagato got defeated by a damn book and revived everyone ugh. but i can look past that and say that i enjoyed the arc.
 
well other than that, part 2 was garbage to me.
 
too much sasuke.
 
bad romance that should have been resolved ages ago between naruto and sakura.
 
lack of sakura fights.
 
side characters ignored.
 
too many flashbacks.
 
naruto eat, sleeping and breathing sasuke, even hyperventilating.
 
crap treatment of the females.
 
too many ass pulls.
 
ninjas turning into dbz characters.
 
rasengans everywhere.
 
themes being destroyed in this series.
 
sh*tty moral lessons.
 
villains getting rewarded.
 
too many conflicts being resolved with tnj, which makes it a unrealistic compromise .
 
war arc being dragged for too long.
 
lack of suspense in the war arc.
 
madara disappearing.
 
kaguya appearing.
 
boring final fight between naruto and sasuke.
 
so yeah, when i sit back and think about all of this, part 1 easily stomps part 2. 
 
 
 

Imo, the first arcs from part II were all good...even the arcs wih asuma, Itachi and jiraya's death, the rasenshuriken training, or even the kyuubi control training was kinda good esprcially because we were able to see kushina, which is,with konan, one of the few feminine characters well developed..
and yeah,too much sasuke and uchiha inpart two...evzn though at the en of part one we knew that the second part would b aboutretrieving and bringing. back sas-uke...but too much is too much...we know a loot more about sas-uke than Naruto...and even about kakashi and sakura..or other characters that deserved to be developed more ! Aah I remember Gai's fight against madara this one was really good...it was a waste to wait until that kitten arc to see Gai's true ability and past!

That is true. We based on that. I thought the same too. Then Ramen finally broke the news and sheesh, we were wrong.

I'm glad we were wrong. I really do hope that we will be able to establish a new alliance between us and the japanese fans. That would be nice.

Kishi give up on sakura after 2010 or in 2011.
I think kishi took popularity too much.
At that time Hinata is more popular than sakura.

I still think Kishi cared about her, even after 2011. It always seemed to me like he had a special appreciation for her, like he always took extra care with her appearances. To me it wasn't until the very end that he really dropped the ball.

 

As for popularity, my understanding is that Hinata was only able to beat Sakura once and that was after her confession. Kishi should have known that, of course that would make her more popular. The popularity argument is BS for two reasons. The first one is that if you're an artist, then act like it. Write the tory you want to tell instead of the one your fans want you to tell. The second is that the idea of Hinata being more popular than Sakura only seems to hold up when it comes to the western fandom, which doesn't make sense since Japan is supposedly Kishi's main audience.  

 

 

Excellent, excellent posts man. I'm very glad that there are members like you and Narufan85 who look at that whole fiasco from Naruto's pov.

 

Here's what I think-- I find it difficult to believe Sakura was completely honest. 

 

Why do I say this ? Because 693 and 699. If she was honest about having gotten over Sasuke, why would she say the things she did in 693 and 699..?

 

The strongest argument against her confession not being completely honest is '' Kishimoto said she was honest ! ''. I think its a little bit hypocritical to accept this particular comment of Kishimoto's as the undisputed, absolute truth when every other thing he's said/ been saying is being laughed at. 

 

Now, her intentions were purely for Naruto's well-being and it shows how much she cared about him. Her desire to protect Naruto from confronting Sasuke , even if it meant losing out on her dream of one day seeing Team Seven laugh together again, is heroic to say the least. BUT this doesn't mean her words were honest and she had no conflict. 

 

Why is Naruto being blamed for not accepting her confession..? Like you pointed out very well, Naruto up until that point had never seen Sakura care for him the way he saw her care for Sasuke. He was shocked when he heard her confess. We can see this from his expressions and the very first thing he asks her " But..I thought you really loved Sasuke. What changed..? ". We cannot blame him for his disbelief, it was to be expected. 

 

What Naruto always wanted to hear, finally came. But along with sheer joy came confusion and then doubts started to creep inside his head. Her confession seemed out of place and it came at a strange time. Naturally he wanted to quell his doubts. He asks her '' Why now, all of a sudden..? and what happened, I thought you loved Sasuke ".

 

Sakura says " I switched from Sasuke to you.They say a woman's heart changes like the autumn skies ".  Put yourself in Naruto's place. You love a girl from all your heart, you know she really loves another guy. One day she comes to you and confesses. You get happy but you also hesitate. You get insecure, you want answers, you need answers from her. But when she merely says " I switched, girls are fickle " would you not get angry..?

 

Naruto gets bashed because he believed, for a good reason, that she might be lying. Naruto gets bashed because he tried to confront her and said " You are probably lying and I hate people who lie to themselves ".

 

This is the same guy who promised on his life that he would bring Sasuke back to her, this is the same guy who was prepared to bury his own feelings for as long as Sakura-chan was happy. And now, just because he wasn't convinced that she was being honest , just because he claimed she was lying to herself, he's reprehensible..?

 

Here's what people need to understand -- Naruto and Sakura are Best Friends. Naruto and Sakura know each other better than anyone else. Sakura is not a stranger to Naruto !  They are allowed to confront each other, get angry at each other sometimes, expect complete honesty from each other, reprimand the other if the situation calls for it.... and eventually go back to supporting and being there for each other.

 

And this is what Naruto and Sakura did. Sure, there was tension and a bit of heated arguments but very soon afterwards, Naruto ends up saving her life and Sakura ends up thanking him and appreciating his unwavering support to make her dream of a Team Seven reunion come true. Sakura did not hold Naruto's harsh words against him, its the opposite in fact. When he dozed off because of the effect of the poisoned kunai, she gives that special smile of hers while looking at Naruto.

Sakura was honest about loving Naruto, but at the same time she was being dishonest about not caring about Sasuke anymore. In other words, she was drifting away from Sasuke and going towards Naruto. 

 

It's not that Naruto wasn't allowed to be angry with her, because I can totally understand why he was. But why should we believe him over Sakura? Sakura even said that she is only one who knows how she feels and I believe that to be absolutely true. Naruto doesn't get to dictate what Sakura feels just because it doesn't fit with his current world view. 

 

As for 693 and 699, I think there are two possibilities. Either Sakura was so hurt by Naruto's reaction that she eventually fell out of love with him and went back to Sasuke or it was simply a giant retcon. Personally I think it's the latter, because I truly believe that Kishi intended for Naruto and Sakura to get together. However at some point the plan got changed.

haha so true ! The plot (putting NH aside) is beyond ridiculous...a fight on the surface of the moon, an evil guy coming from. the moon to kidnap and marry a girl...but instead he kidnaps her sister... too much technology (butat least it'sa common thing we see in all non canon naruto movies except RtN.....heh )
