when i think about it the only good arcs from part 2 imo are the rescue gaara and pain invasion. with the gaara arc we had sakura fighting (very rare) and with the pain invasion we had a godly setup with naruto training. it almost walked off into the sunset until nagato got defeated by a damn book and revived everyone ugh. but i can look past that and say that i enjoyed the arc.

 

well other than that, part 2 was garbage to me.

 

too much sasuke.

 

bad romance that should have been resolved ages ago between naruto and sakura.

 

lack of sakura fights.

 

side characters ignored.

 

too many flashbacks.

 

naruto eat, sleeping and breathing sasuke, even hyperventilating.

 

crap treatment of the females.

 

too many ass pulls.

 

ninjas turning into dbz characters.

 

rasengans everywhere.

 

themes being destroyed in this series.

 

sh*tty moral lessons.

 

villains getting rewarded.

 

too many conflicts being resolved with tnj, which makes it a unrealistic compromise .

 

war arc being dragged for too long.

 

lack of suspense in the war arc.

 

madara disappearing.

 

kaguya appearing.

 

boring final fight between naruto and sasuke.

 

so yeah, when i sit back and think about all of this, part 1 easily stomps part 2. 

 

 

 

Kishi should have taken the idea of Aang of not Killing for Naruto.

naruto's empathy is kinda endearing to me... especially when you consider the cycle of hatred thing.

remember killing enemies is what created the mess in the first place.

and naruto did defeated the villain before attempting tnj..

The theme was annoying and could be better executed, but i understood why the TnJ was so important, it was a method to end the cycle of hate by understanding your enemy reasons.

 

In the end though it was never referenced how Nardo achieved peacem I would have kinda liked if he left for a journey instead of sasuke to better connect with the world and its people

kinda harsh..
I personally think the high point of the series was the pein arc.

So many themes are touched upon..

desperation when sakura cries out narutoooooo! (not sasuke *sexface*)
loss of control, familial love, romantic love, anger, cycle of hatred, trust, etc..

then the sh*tty arcs started, the world war is an easy way to unite the villages, but it souldve been much better if the villages were brought together by naruto, not obito.

In a way, with kishi's ending, obito was the hero.He waged a war which led to the unification of the villages.


naruto was imprisoned in an island for half the war..

I do despise the last two villains, however..

Madara was so OP, that kishi was only left with the option of killing him in some extremely lame way, and the powerful warrior was replaced by an old haag that got flustefed after seeing some nude boys...( though that WAS quite funny)..

seeing a sh*tty ending, we are often disillusioned that the whole part 2 was kitten..
It was quite good.

the pain arc was truly beautiful. we had a villain who's resolve for the most part, was admirable, and his reasoning understandable. in fact, i've seen lots of fans root for pain during that arc. the dialogue was just amazing, and pain putting naruto on the spot by asking him the hard questions about achieving peace, which i thought was excellent character development for naruto. aside from the atrocious ending of the arc, it was amazing.

 

i agree with everything. the war arc was poorly handled and stretched out for too long.

That is what kishi did bad..
he messed up (according to me) ever since he made madara op, and introduced the whole brother rivalry thing.
It trivialized the others' problems.

in the end, the villain had no morals, and the naruto sasuke fight forced down our throats.

when he said "i'm gonna end this once and for all", I really thought they were finally gonna kill sasuke

yeah, but what I wanted to say is that they are really popular among the naruto fandom, although they appeared barely in 5-6 panels of the final chapter.

 

But what I mean to do anyway? NH and SS fans would still appreciate their kids even if they had the blobfishish faces.
