Well, he does it because he said so. Simple as that. I know Oda believes in being defeated is worse than getting killed, at least for the villains. I respect that but would it be nice to ease down the "oh no he's dead. Wait he's alive" tactic a bit.

The death in op happen usually in flashback or when the plot demand so (ace & whitebeard).
Villain don't get killed because shonen hero doesn't kill.

The not really death doesn't bother me, it's more like creative choice for me.

Well, not all of them but majority of them don't kill.

It's just that it's being overplayed a lot that it doesn't leave an impact feeling anymore. It's like "Well gee, I wonder if that person really is dead." You want to feel like the early days of Alabasta Arc before you find out that One Piece has no death policy towards anyone. Hell, you can say Skypiea Arc one was a troll one.

It's not that I want people to die, just don't wear out the novelty of said play attempt such as dead, not dead tactic. I want to feel fear or want to feel chills of seeing them struggle to succeed or lose. For death, OP overdid it but in their defense, they did make Ace and Whitebeard's death a big "oh kitten!" to me since I was way adapted to no death policy. So I'll give him that. But yes, that's why Naruto War Arc was a train wreck, no fear or anything. Just...there.

You can have all the Tashigi merchandise you want, as long as you take care of it. Feed it, clothe it, tuck it in for bed. Basically be a complete weirdo.
