Okay Guys I need help. I posted a topic for NaruSaku and NaruHina on a forum. and sasuSaku ppl are invading. It seems as if everyone sees NaruSaku as a bro-sis thing, and I'm the only NaruSaku fan. Yes ppl are being friendly about it but I nedd some reinforcements. Here is the site: Too much SakuSasu and HinaNaru! NaruSaku fans join!

And just to keep on topic here's a debate:

QUOTE
-rant-

It's quite obvious Hinata loves Naruto. It is not just mere admiration as many antis say. I looked at vol... uh.. 9 I believe of Naruto in Borders and I looked at Hinata's character description. It specifically says "She has a major crush on Naruto". ....... And since she was having a conflict with herself in 282... It just shows her feelings are still there. I wish they would just face the facts and accept that HINATA LOVES NARUTO.

Naruto opened up to Hinata and told her he wasn't that strong. I was surprised since he hardly knew her and always acted tough in front of everyone else. [Even Sasuke and Sakura] And swearing on someone's blood isn't really to be taken lightly... Who does THAT? That was basically the beginning of development for NaruHina. I hope Kishi will make the right decision and do NaruHina. [And the right way.] It would be better for the plot anyway.

The theme: "People accepting other people" - Naruto accepts Hinata to be strong, and ends up falling in love with her. Makes sense. Sakura already accepted Naruto so basically.. that's done. =P

Geez it gets just.. mad annoying RETYPING why you think the pairing you like will happen to every person that doesn't think so. Ive had to retype hints at NaruHina to NaruSaku fans at least... god I don't even know! They just don't get that Sakura has not stated she dropped her feelings for Sasuke. To me, that is proof enough that she is not in love with Naruto. Of course, she loves him as a close friend, but nothing more. When Naruto took the writen part of the Chuunin exam, Hinata was sitting next to him. When I first saw that, it made me wonder "why?"

The statement Ive had to retype the most was "Why would Kishi make Hinata still have her crush on Naruto after 2.5 years? Wouldn't he have dropped it by now if NaruHina didn't have a chance at happening?" Yeah along those lines. Cause it's true! Most NaruSaku fans seem to ignore that, and other foreshadows. when they start throwing NaruSaku hints at me, I never change my mind. Basically: Throw as many hints as you like, it does not change the fact that Hinata still likes Naruto. Main guy x Main girl got so old and boring... Kishi should do something different. I'm not sure if it was this thread, or another, but someone said that in the beginning when Kakashi asked for Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke to tell him their goals, that was a foreshadow. (ie - Naruto becoming Hokage, Sakura getting Sasuke, and Sasuke killing his bro and restoring his clan) I'm not saying that will happen, but it could be looked as foreshadowing.

Another example of a foreshadow may be when Naruto versed Neji. Before he wins, he says "After I become Hokage, I'll change Hyuuga!" That can be used against people who say NaruHina won't happen because her clan/father won't allow it. A Hokage is Hokage and he/she can change what ever they want.

Naruto has gained many close friends since the beginning. I agree he won't be alone in the end. And yes, it looked as if he gave up on Sakura the minute she came begging/crying/pleading to him to bring Sasuke back. People just can't forget about things that happened in part 1, just because OTHER things are happening in part 2.

The nervewrecking part of pairing wars is that everytime someone makes a statement someone else doesnt like, they try to twist it around or counter it to make it seem like that the person who stated it was wrong. So then the war keeps going on and on...

Oh and.. Naruto has ACCEPTED Sakura's feelings for Sasuke. Say byebye NaruSaku.

Now why is there so much NaruHina in fillers? I heard that the fillers are supposed to follow what the manga will eventually go along with. Obviously, the animators know Kishi's secrets.

I would actually rant more.. but here's why exactly I like them:

http://forums.naruto...postcount=18796

Link with many links for hints of NaruHina:

http://www.narutolou...8&postcount=923

Adding this page from the NaruHina FC cause of the great posts:

http://forums.naruto...=39397&page=864

-end rant-

-cough- idiot (non bashing) -cough- -sigh- Although I am quite opened minded, Naruhina was never an option for me. So for all the NaruHina fans, sorry no offense here.
I only ask for you to notice me.

True, the manga they sell in book stores says Hinata has a crush on Naruto. But the translation is horrible and crappy. In the Data Book, it says she admires him. But in the manga us americans get, it says she has a crush on him. Whish is false.

I think that was already posted before. But it is a stupid post. Thinking they're all high and mighty. Every pairing has their idiots, but I think NaruHina has the most out of the Naruto fandom of pairings.

*raises hand* By crushing their empty brains through debating?

QUOTE
Hinata was on the cover and no that was not coincidence. It's not like Kishimoto went through a pile of sketches, pulled out Hinata and said "Oh! Hinata! I'll just stick her on the cover randomly! ...No. He knew what was gunna happen.
Oh? Is that so? So that means that NaruShika is also 'teh canonz!111' What about NaruSai? Hypocrites. So because Hinata was on the cover of that chapter it's canon, But if Naruto and Sakura were on the cover(they were lots of times) it's impossible?
I would think it's pretty lame if Sakura falls in love with Naruto. If Sasuke was still there... I betcha she would still be chasing him. She got close to Naruto b/c there is no Sasuke around. (Not that she wasn't getting closer to him before Sasuke left. She was, but not as close as she is now) I see a drastic change in her feelings towards Naruto ever since Sasuke left.
So, since Naruto wasnt in Konoha for 2.5 years, how do we know that Hinata hasnt been flirting with Kiba? Oh I just love how you guys can run over your own arguements. Seriously! You gotta teach me that!
The theme: "People accepting other people" - Naruto accepts Hinata to be strong, and ends up falling in love with her. Makes sense. Sakura already accepted Naruto so basically.. that's done. =P
Where does it say that he needs to fall in love. And even if, so Sakura can't fall in love with him... if she hasnt already?

^My attempt at debating.

The stuff in bold, the quote tags hate me.

Now, now you guys, Smiter asked us to be a bit nicer to the NaruHina/SasuSaku fans. Now I know its going to be hard not to bash them (especially when they make it so easy) but we should respect his wishes and at least try. Now for that argument.

Right, the Viz translated manga said that Hinata has a crush on Naruto. I suppose Ino really does use the Art of the Valentine, Naruto uses Art of the Doppelganger, oh and the Byakugan is actually called the "Evil Eye". Oh and her confilict in 282 proved nothing except that she seems to have gotten worse with fainting after the time skip and she still can't face Naruto. Considering that's the best evidence from Part II you guys have it might be a good idea to consider NaruHina a bit unlikely. Oh and I CAN TALK IN ALL CAPS TOO!! doesn't mean what I'm saying is true though.

Right because its not easier to open up to complete strangers than it is to open up to friends and families. Thats why psychartrists don't have jobs and why priests never use confessionals. You do realize that arguing that Naruto had feeling for Hinata when he swore revenge on her blood makes you look like an idiot right? Considering he had shown no signs of having any feeling for her beforehand. Oh and if that was the begginning of NaruHina development I guess it was the end too, you know since it hasn't developed since then. Oh and who are you to tell Kishi what the right decisions is? Seriously who the hell do you think you are to tell Kishi what's good for his story?

I know I've seen that theme quote before. It was just as stupid back then. It doesn't even make sense, I mean Naruto can accepts Hinata and fall for her, but Sakura can accept Naruto but it's somehow impossible for her to fall for him.

Hey now, don't get mad at us for having to retype so much, it's not like it's our fault your pairing has so little evidence. So Sakura not saying she dropped her feelings for Sasuke is enough to convice you she hasn't, but Naruto not saying he's dropped his feelings for Sakura is? Do you guys get some kind of secret pleasure out of contrdicting yourselves?

We ignore Hinata's feelings? Listen to me closley. She fainted she didn't think about confessing to Naruto, she just thought she wasn't ready to face him yet. Oh and if we ignore Hinata's feelings you ignore, oh I don't know, all of Part II. Oh man your right! NaruSaku can't happen cause its cliche! I guess SasuSaku can't happen cause its a Shoujo cliche and NaruHina can't happen cause it's a teenager/high school movie cliche. Well I guess Naruto/Tsunade should be canon then? I gurantee that's not cliche. Oh and the scene with their goals proves nothing cause all of their goals have changed since then. Naruto doesn't believe he is worthy of being Hokage unless he can save Sasuke, Sakura wants to save both of them, and Sasuke only cares about revenge and has given up on restoring his clan.

QUOTE

People just can't forget about things that happened in part 1, just because OTHER things are happening in part 2.

You do realize Naruto said that to Neji, along with saying he'd change the Hyuuga if Neji couldn't. I personally think Neji is more than capable of changing the Hyuuga (By marrying Hinata  biggrin.gif ) Besides are you trying to say Naruto is just going to magically tell the Hyuuga to change and they will? God do you even think before running your mouth?

Oh but Naruto never SAID he gave up on Sakura so according to your previous logic that statment is false. Oh and you ignore all of Part II and we have arguments for Part I and II. You fail.

Quoted for comedy. Seriously, the filler is foreshadowing the manga now? Oh right thats why there was a chapter were Hinata made Naruto shaped food, and were Shino laughed, and were Kishi lost the ability to write fancy things like plot, and character development.

Well I'm done for now.

wow...I can't be reading this stuff. Fillers have NOTHING to do with the plot of the manga. They are useless because they are out of order. There is no place for them to fit in with the manga storyline.

And how does saying 'After I become Hokage, I'll change the Hyuuga,' foreshadow NaruHina in anyway? He meant he was gonna change the whole idea of a Main House and Branch House. And it seems that the Hokage does not hold all the power of the village. There is the council to think about as well and what their input would be.

Well I guess when your as crazy as their are about your pairing being canon (I still don't understand the obsession with canonness, its not like it somehow makes the pairings cooler) then you'll take whatever evidence you can make up.

That would have been cool, but Sai's entertaining so I don't mind that he's part of Team 7 now.

You know what I just realized? The fillers are ignoring Sakura at the point in the story were she has the most development. We should be seeing Sakura getting stronger, Learning about Naruto having Kyuubi and the Akatsuki, and be seeing her going on missions and becoming a Chuunin. Instead we get Hinata beating people that Naruto can't beat. :shamefulcry0js: Thanks fillers, thanks for nothing.

I think the fillers would've been alot more better if they had it focus on what happened in between parts 1 and 2. They could've easily had Sakura as the one doing missions with the other teams, show Naruto training or doing some of the episode missions we saw, or show Kakashi going on some missions with the other jounins. It would've really developed Kakashi and Sakura a bit I think which would've been cool.

I wasn't trying to be mean. Just saying that every pairing has people who make stupid posts. NaruSaku included. Its just we see a lot more from the NaruHina department. So, im putting down our own camp and everyone else's too. Fun for all. tongue.gif

And I dont find Naruhina as an option, either. As stated before, Naruhina isn't that popular in Japan. They're smart. Majority of the NaruHina fans are from the Southern fandom.

For a once i found some intelligent posts, no dumb_ss posts today.

Well...I know that you may want me to Say Naruto but...I have reasons for picking Sasuke.

Sasuke was the one that helped Sakura grow up. Sure, he may not be the gentlest person around but serioulsy, it's not in his nature to be that way. The thing is, he was the one that let Sakura know that she was weak...which was true. before that, Sakura acted as if she was better than Naruto, and she acted as if she was smart and totally knew what she was doing. But then, it was HIM that brought her back to reality and it was Sasuke that forced in a way, Sakura to accept that and understand that.

And besides, it was his lecturing about lonliness and whatnot that caused Sakura to be nicer to Naruto in the first place...or at least that's what I think.

Anyways, he was the driving force for Sakura that pushed her and helped her become the person she is today. Sure, she gets encouraged waaaaaaaay more by Naruto, but the thing is, you need to be put down every now and then in order to understand your flaws fully and build yourself back up. And also, he may have done it once, but he encouraged her right before the chuunin exams. He figured out why she was feeling down, and he fixed it...at least as much as he could. And if memory serves me right, I believe that Naruto had no idea that something was wrong with Sakura. Which leads me to say that Sasuke understands Sakura not alot more, but maybe at least a little more than Naruto.
(I'm aware of the fact that Sakura said that Naruto understands her...but there are a couple of moments where Sasuke understood Sakura when Naruto was unaware)

There's also the moment after Naruto wakes up in the Forest of Death. He and Sasuke were both unconscious, but when Sakura said that she cut her hair to update her image, we see Sasuke going all "..."...and we KNOW that he wasnt conscious to see her cut her hair, right?

And one more thing (gosh I forgot jus about everything that I was gonna say...)

I believe that Sasuke helped Sakura realize and understand the fact that she wasnt the strongest ninja around, and that it was him that ultimately caused her to BECOME stronger.

Sakura knew that she was weak...and while she never really loved that part of her, she never really did much to improve that part of her. I mean, she helped out during missions and all, but still, she never actually TRAINED like the way Naruto did or Sasuke until after Sasuke left.

When Sasuke left the village, she tried to stop him with words....which obviously didnt work. Naruto tried to stop him with BOTH words and strength....which didnt quite work either. Seeing that Sasuke is now on 'the dark side', Sakura made it her ninja way, her nindou to bring Sasuke back with her own strength. And thus leading her to seek training from the Godaime.

Aaaaaaand, contraary to what some narusaku fans believe, I dont see Sasuke as the abusive type. If they were to be in a relationship, what I see is something bittersweet, not abusive.

I mean, I'd wait till after the whole Itachi factor is taken care of...but from what I see, Sasuke was at one point willing to risk his life for his comrades. And while I understand that that Sasuke is different from the Sasuke we see now, I wouldnt say that that Sasuke is long gone. Based on the conversations between him and Oro that I've seen, I just dont think that that pedophile has Sasuke's respect right now, and I believe that as long as Sasuke doesnt respect Oro, or wear the Sound hitai-ate, that we have a chance, and that that Sasuke that had comrades still exists buried somewhere beneath the current one...

Oops, I forgot to come back and reply here. And I need to go do other stuff now, so at least for the moment, I'm just going to paste something I've already written (again - I'm so horrible, ne?).

Anyway, here's what I typed up (quickly, so I know I missed stuff so feel free to question/add to it), and I'm leaving the section of LeeSaku in just because I feel it's also nice for comparison.

--

Ok, first let's take a look at how Lee, Naruto, and Sasuke have affected our pink-haired shinobi:

Lee:
- Source of inspiration during the FoD -> worked up courage to fight Sound nins, start to develop desire to protect those precious
- A measurement of her lessening vanity -> earned her respect and friendship

Naruto:
- Impacted enough for her to quit chuunin exam for his dream
- Source of inspiration during the FoD -> worked up courage to fight Sound nins, start to develop desire to protect those precious
- Source of encouragment during her fight with Ino -> tied in battle
- Source of inspiration/reflection after his fight with Neji -> part of development toward decision to train under Tsunade
- Source of support right before and after Sasuke's departure from Konoha -> needed support to find hope take step of becoming strong to help
- A measurement of her lessening vanity from her growing respect -> progression of respect, acknowledgment, and understanding

Sasuke:
- Source of motivation for acknowledgment -> part of reason to become strong (although not much impact)
- Criticized view on Naruto -> she started being nicer to Naruto (first step of lessening vanity)
- Caused self-reflection with criticism of skills -> needed realization to become strong
- Source of encouragement prior to chuunin exams -> first step toward real confidence or regaining lost confidence
- Source of inspiration during the FoD -> worked up courage to fight Sound nins, start to develop desire to protect those precious
- Reason to take step to become strong -> caused self-reflection and a drive to become strong due to her positive feelings to a negative situation

Now, I typed this up fast, so I'm sure I missed stuff, but overall, I think Sasuke had the most significant impact on her character, as is also reflected in the focus on his character in her profile in databook 2; although influences from other characters have also played a part (Ino should definitely be included, but not related to this thread so I left her out) and were necessary for her to reach the stage of development that she did. Also, it was Sasuke who pushed her to the initial step of even opening up to Naruto in the first place. He's also the only one of the three who has criticized her, something that is needed for her character and the first time she is shown really evaluating her progress as a ninja which was the start of the her later progression into becoming strong in the FoD, her fight with Ino, and then finally her decision to train under Tsunade (although also in her rivalry with Ino). Both her loss of vanity and gain of strength were initiated by Sasuke's character's influence. Naruto is good support, and Lee was added influence onto that, but to me it really seems Sasuke has had the most significant impact on her character development, and has had unique influence on Sakura from both Lee and Naruto.

I think another thing in favor of Sasuke is that the main reason for the last item under Sasuke's category is due to her (romantic) feelings for him. Now, a little look at why one of the reasons I personally don't think her feelings have changed moving into part 2:

Sakura then changing her feelings from Sasuke to Naruto kind of goes against her new-found motivation and support for this change. Kishi says in the databook 2 that Sakura is the type of person to be pained by a teammate leaving, but especially so when it's someone she loves. So there's a chance that if it wasn't someone she was in love with she might not have came to the same decision (not clear though); but just as important was Naruto being someone to rely on during the loss to give her the hope to perservere after the person she lost. This set up is lost if Sakura turns her affections to Naruto, I think, because it changes the roles they play for her character before the situation that resulted from those roles has been resolved. I think for NaruSaku to happen, it'll have to take place some time AFTER the "rescue Sasuke" plotline unless Kishi's going to start changing the make-up of Sakura's character to maintain the same reactions from her to the situation, or alter her perspective on rescuing Sasuke accordingly with the shift in roles of her teammates for her character.

Oh wait.....here's a dumb_ss post.

I agree with you people on Sasuke giving the most influence on Sakura.

I can see that I don't have to type much since Comecomeparadise had typed in all the pointed facts. I agree with all that.

And let's see... I think THIS is a good one... :

Don't you think the poor Hinata deserves someone SHE likes..? Look, Sakura has confessed her love greatly in front of Sasuke and that wasn't JUST fangirlism love!! It was TRUE LOVE!! Sasuke even said "thank you" to her. Though we all aren't sure what it was for, it was still a word of GRATITUDE!!
Naruto, he has been VERY BLIND and OBLIVIOUS towards Hinata's love. It might only look like a crush but, do you see anyone else fainting when they see NARUTO?!

Sasuke deserves someone who ACTUALLY loves him. Sakura.
Naruto deserves someone who ACTUALLY loves him. Hinata.

End of discussion.

Hinata was on the cover and no that was not coincidence. It's not like Kishimoto went through a pile of sketches, pulled out Hinata and said "Oh! Hinata! I'll just stick her on the cover randomly! ...No. He knew what was gunna happen.

This argument is both entertaining and frustrating. Entertaining, because of how far it has to stretch; frustrating because of the selectivity in its application. I suspect if the situation were the reverse and it were Hinata and Naruto going to rescue Sasuke and Sakura was on the cover (or any other combination that was favorable to me), many NaruHina debaters would flame my argument. They would tell me how absurd my argument was, and how I was desperate, reaching for any straw I could, etc. They would be right it doing so too. However, since if it works for NaruHina it appears to be okay. Now, its a valid argument.

Let's walk through the logical extension of this argument. If this is so, then if when the infamous "I like girls like you statement" or any other similar NaruHina moment occurred and Sakura happened to be one the cover, then it really wasn't a NaruHina moment. His choice was a very subtle hint that he was NaruSaku at the time. The same can be said of any SasuSaku moment as well. Was Sakura on that particular cover? I don't know and, to be honest, I don't care. I find the general argument so unconvincing, that it doesn't really matter. In any case, if in the future another NaruHina moment occurs and Sakura is on the cover, then would that be a subtle hint that he really meant NaruSaku? The logical extension of that person's argument sure says so. But, if they claim to the contrary, then my question would be, why iwould that situatin be different? I sure don't see a difference, which means claiming a one would demonstrate that the person is not as serious about the argument as that post suggests. It would prove that the argument is being selectively applied

I ask that poster then, would you take me seriously if I made such an argument for NaruSaku should the opportunity present itself? If your serious about your argument then you have to accept that version as well. Otherwise you simply apply the argument whenever its convenient. My guess though, is that people making such an argument would have flamed me if I had said such a thing. However, consistency would require that they do no such thing, unless they can come up with a convincing distinction. There may be a few who would accept the NaruSaku extension of the argument were it to occur, but they have benefit of hindsight, so who knows.

One more thing I should mention. This frustration is also why the siblings argument is so annoying. The claim is that that Sakura only sees Naruto as a brother and is not in love with him. But the obvious retort is why can't Sasuke's feeling for Sakura be the same in Part 1,; in the famous "thank you" scene. Surely, the scene is not inconsistent with such an interpretation, and is almost certaintly no more inconsistent with such an interpretation than several notable NaruSaku scenes. Why can't Naruto's supposed feelings for Hinata only amount to that? Or should Kishimoto ever pursue anything on the pairing, why won't they only amount to that? If its true for Sakura's feelings, then its a valid claim for Sasuke's and Naruto's as well. Again, what really bothers me is how selectively this kind of argument is used.

That aside, lets look further at the poster's argument. I doubt Kishimoto's selection is the result of complete random selection. But it could still be random to an extent in that he does not decide until he actually draws the episode. Perhaps he has a particular pattern set, or a checklist to ensure all the character's get there at least once. Or maybe this person is right and it has significance they state. Now, my question is which is the correct one> My response: I have no idea, and that is my point. How does this person know? What reason is there to believe it has the significance claimed? Can they name some other situations where the cover had that type of significance? I'd be more receptive of their argument, if they could. Obviously, I cannot completely eliminate his argument as I cannot read Kishi's mind, but forgive me if I am skeptical of an argument that appears to place more significance on the cover than the substance of the episode. True, some of Kishi's hints have been subtle, but saying that the cover indicates that he really means to diminish the significance of the NaruSaku moment and quietly suggest NaruHina is the real pairing is, for me, a bit too subtle to accept.

Marcus, i have not idea where the post came from, but since I plan for this to be my last visit here until August, feel free to post this response. In fact I ask that you do that for me.

On the second sentence, perhaps that's true, but its irrelevant, because he's not. And even if he did stay that does not ipso facto mean SasuSaku occurs. There are a lot of possibilities that could be explored and Kishi still could have decided to further develop NaruSaku. Such speculations and possibilities are why I like fanfiction. Next, on the third sentence, again nothing but speculation. They seem to assume that if Sasuke were in the picture Naruto and Sakura would not end up being as close. This is speculation too. Maybe they are right, maybe not. I can invision scenarios where that person could be right and ones that they could be wrong. But in terms of the present argument, it is irrelevant because the fact remains, he did leave.

[The theme: "People accepting other people" - Naruto accepts Hinata to be strong, and ends up falling in love with her. Makes sense. Sakura already accepted Naruto so basically.. that's done. =P

Yeah, and Naruto appears to accept Hinata in the chuunin exams, so that's done too right? If mere acceptance is sufficient from Sakura, then why not in the NaruHina area to? And Sakura, who once thought Naruto to be weak and annoying, accepts that he's strong and is really a great person inside, and ends up falling in love with him. I think this makes sense, myself.

And AnimeGirl, on the data's book description of Hinata' feelings, I'm all for letting them have that point for now, because it doesn't matter. The evidence that Naruto returns those feelings is so weak right now that it doesn't matter whether her feelings amount to love or not. NaruHina does not happen, unless Naruto returns them. So, until something comes up that suggests he does, I'm not going to even worry about contesting Hinata's feelings.

Wait a minute! A thought occured to me...........ya know how the pairings are cliched?

Narusaku = typical shounen pairing
Sasusaku = typical shoujo pairing
Naruhina = typical teenage romance pairing

There's a problem here. Naruhina: naruto is not the popular jock/pretty boy/etc. Wouldnt such a title be befitting of sasuhina? Sasuke would be the popular boy, hinata is the shy girl, and sakura would be the kitteny cheerleader.

...Influenced by the anime? Never misses an episode? Hopes something will happen in their love lives? Well I think we ALL know where the anime is leading. ;D
Can't you NaruHinas make ONE lousy arguement without bringing fillers into play? They are NEVER going to be part of the Canon manga. Can't you just accept that instead of whining like sissies? The fillers were good in the first arc. Now they are pure crap. Would Kishimoto have Hinata make a Naruto shaped cake in the manga? Don't think so. The arguements involving fillers have no validity... I challenge you to a Manga only debate. Scanlations to be exact, not the American crap that comes out in stores.
7. SJ: Who is your favourite female character?
Kishi: Anko because of her relationship with Orochimaru…
Nope, Not Hinata as some of you say. So now goes the arguement that he's gnna pair her up with the main character because she's his favourite.
Better yet! There's no way Kishi could forget about Hinata. One, she's
one of his favourite characters. Two, he even kept her feelings for Naruto after
2.5 years. If he forgot about Hinata, hell I bet we wouldn't have even
seen her yet for part 2.

Hehe, speaking of part 2.... Hinata is on the cover of chapter 297,
which is also the same chapter where this statement comes from. No, that
was not a coincidence. It's not like the creator went threw a pile of
sketches and said "Oh! Hinata! I'll just stick her on the cover
randomly!" ...No. He knew what would happen in the chapter.
Oh? So now you know Kishi personally? Give me his autograph, please!(and kittenslap him for letting the fillers go on.) Okay... Do you seriously have to totally destroy the only pic of Pinhata that i like? THAT IS NOT A NARUHINA HINT!! Lemme guess, if it was Hinata and Naruto going to save Sasuke, and Sakura was on the cover. Wouldn't You tell us NaruSakus how desperate we are?
The statement Ive had to retype the most was "Why would Kishi make Hinata still have her crush on Naruto after 2.5 years? Wouldn't he have dropped it by now if NaruHina didn't have a chance at happening?" Yeah along those lines. Cause it's true! Most anti-NaruHina's seem to ignore that, and other foreshadows. When they start throwing NaruSaku hints at me, I never change my mind. Basically: Throw as many hints as you like, it does not change the fact that Hinata still likes Naruto. Main guy x Main girl got so old and boring... Kishi should do something different.
Oh? So now you KNOW Hinata IRL! She told you that she still 'liekzorz!11' Naruto! Kishimoto needed to reintroduce every character, so he took team 8 and just sticked them in a chapter. HInata fainting is normal. Wouldn't you be excited when a person you ADMIRE comes back after 3 years? Wasn't Sakura?

And you say that the Shounen Pairing (NaruSaku) gets boring fast, right? Well, NaruHina is a lame pairing too then, because it happens in almost every Highschool film. With the exception that Naruto isn't the jock. Sasuke is.

Ah thank you my helpful NaruSaku fans! But alas here is Darkhope's full essay/rant thing: (You'll get a kick outta this one!)

QUOTE
Oh and Endless Snow here's my entire essay:

It just gets annoying RETYPING why you think the pairing you like will happen to every person that doesn't think so. Ive had to retype NaruHina hints to those NaruSaku fans at least... god I don't even know! They just don't get that Sakura has not stated she dropped her feelings for Sasuke. To me, that is proof enough that she is not in love with Naruto. Of course, she loves him as a close friend, but nothing more. When Naruto took the written part of the Chuunin exam, Hinata was sitting next to him. When I first saw that, it made me wonder "why?"

Here's my NaruHina rant. (Or essay...what ever you want to call it.)

As for Naruto liking Sakura, yeah he did in the beginning. But he really hasn't been talking about her the way he use to. Sakura was mad that Sai had badmouthed Sasuke, that's a hint that she still has feelings for the Uchiha prodigy. And chapter 306? Mmmhmmm... As for the “date” thing in 311, haha, it's clear that Sakura and Naruto are just very close friends. She rejected him again but nicely. I now believe Naruto does that just to tease, and it's for comedy.

'But wait! Yamato's statement! “Sakura in reality you...” - Chapter 297.'

Psh... First off, you can't take Yamato seriously. He has only known them for 5 days. Also, he has no clue what Team 7's past was and Sakura's feelings for Sasuke. I think NaruSaku fans jumped to conclusions way too fast with this one. The biggest thing here was that his statement wasn't even completed.

Better yet! There's no way Kishi could forget about Hinata. One, she's one of his characters. Two, he even kept her feelings for Naruto after 2.5 years. If he forgot about Hinata, hell I bet we wouldn't have even seen her yet for part 2.

Hehe, speaking of part 2.... Hinata is on the cover of chapter 297, which is also the same chapter where this statement comes from. No, that was not a coincidence. It's not like the creator went threw a pile of sketches and said “Oh! Hinata! I'll just stick her on the cover randomly!” ...No. He knew what would happen in the chapter.

Kishi said adding romance was hard. Which brings up another point. I would find adding NaruSaku....EASY. Oh dear what could this mean? Come on, main guy x main girl, and they're all alone now with no Sasuke. So why hasn't it happened? Hmmm? Maybe it's not what Kishi intends.

Naruto KNOWS and ACCEPTED Sakura's feelings. That's why I don't understand why some NaruSaku-ers ignore that. It can be debated but come on you know it's true.

Naruto: Sakura-chan likes Sasuke very much!
or was it "Sakura-chan, you really like Sasuke huh?" -SMILE- .....

It looked as if he gave up on Sakura the minute she came begging/crying/pleading to him to bring Sasuke back. People just can't forget about things that happened in part 1, just because OTHER things are happening in part 2!

“What are you saying!? Naruto never gives up! It's his nindo! He won't give up on Sakura!”

Well that maybe true, he never gives up. However... his nindo is actually “I never take back my words! That's my way of the ninja!” Where is 'giving up'?

Did Naruto ever once say “I love you” to Sakura? Nope. Is his goal to be with Sakura? Nope. It's to become Hokage. So I see no reason for NaruSaku to happen. So why not NaruHina? Adding to that... In the beginning when Kakashi asked for Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke to tell him their goals, that can be looked at as a foreshadow. (ie - Naruto becoming Hokage, Sakura getting Sasuke, and Sasuke killing his bro and restoring his clan) I'm not saying that will happen, but it could be looked at as foreshadowing.

I know Naruto's goal is not to be with Hinata either, but it would at least help Hinata's character. Her theme is “If you believe in yourself, you can change yourself.” (Or along those lines) Who helped her change herself? Naruto.

And since Hinata's nindo is the same as Naruto's... and she vowed to get stronger, change herself, and do her best... SHE WILL. Again, foreshadow. I think she wanted to be accepted by Naruto but I'm not to sure if she stated it... I know she wanted him to notice her change though. So she definitely wants to change for him.

To me, in the beginning it looked like Naruto just had a crush on Sakura which developed into deep friendship. Sakura's on Sasuke however, was more than a crush. Come on, she was willing to betray her own VILLAGE just to BE with him. And she knew what he was doing too. Some say "Why do those NaruHina and SasuSaku fans say that Naruto's feelings for Sakura was just a crush while Sakura's and Hinata's feelings for Sasuke/Naruto are real blah blah blah." - Well there's some of the reasons. Naruto didn't spend basically every second in part 1, obsessing over Sakura or delayering is so called 'love' for her. Heck I don't even REMEMBER him telling Sakura he LOVED her. He liked her because she was the same as him. Because they both seeked acknowledgment. And now he has it. That's all.

Kishi's manga is all about friendship and I doubt he's going to ruin Naruto and Sakura's just to put them in a romantic relationship. Naruto and Hinata though... since they aren't best friends, I can see that one work out. Naruto will have his best friend - Sakura (and Sasuke) and his lover - Hinata. etc etc.

More anti-NaruSaku?

-There are no reasons for them to be lovers. They will be perfectly fine as best friends.

-Sakura spends part one obsessing over Sasuke to end up with NARUTO?
-Sasuke returns and sees NaruSaku, what does he feel?

-Sakura said that she wants to save both her teammates. In 296 she said that she will bring back Sasuke-kun on her own. It's pretty clear that she will save Sasuke from darkness. If not, oh well.

-If Kishi doesn't want NaruHina, making Hinata's feelings fade [just like Lee's!] would be the obvious thing to do. But he didn't, so either he doesn't know what he is writing or he wants them to be used.

-NaruSaku date from 247 is not romance according to Kishi.

-Kishi also says that Ino's feelings for Sasuke were shallow, while Sakura's feelings for Sasuke were genuine. (Stated in an interview)
-The fact that Sakura didn't even see Naruto off before he went to train for 2 years. At least Hinata DID. (Even if she didn't face him directly, she watched him leave)

-Many missed oportunities for Kishi to do NaruSaku.

-Sakura: “I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART!” - To Sasuke.

“Naruto...I beg you.. please bring Sasuke-kun back!”

Naruto: “I'll definitely bring back Sasuke! It's a promise of a lifetime!” *thumbs up*

No I am NOT negating the possibility of NaruSaku. It's very possible, though, in my eyes, it wouldn't help the plot.

Let's take a look at what I mentioned about how Kishi could have dropped Hinata's feelings. I don't think Lee likes Sakura anymore... See now THAT was a comical crush thing. Like Ino's feelings for Sasuke. Comical and probably just there so Kishi could develop Ino/Sakura's story. Hinata's feelings for Naruto are different. I think THOSE have a PURPOSE. Whether or not NaruHina happens, I don't care. I just want to see them resolved in some way. Lee and Ino's feelings for their previous crushes Sasuke and Sakura have basically faded as I see it. (Look at Ino.. Chapter 312: as soon as she saw Sai, she went all over him. It's clear Ino's feelings were not true love.)

However, Hinata still likes Naruto. Sakura still likes Sasuke. (I see NO evidence she stopped loving him. Don't give me "She loves Naruto!" cause' that's a no. She loves them both but differently) As I said before: Sakura spent the ENTIRE part 1, OBSESSING over SASUKE...So in the end she ends up with NARUTO? At least Naruto didn't obsess over Sakura. He was just desperate for some acknowledgment.

It's quite obvious Hinata loves Naruto. It is not just mere admiration as many anti's say. I looked at vol...9, I believe of Naruto in Borders and I looked at Hinata's character description. It specifically says "She has a major crush on Naruto"........ And since she was having a conflict with herself in 282... It just shows her feelings are still there. I wish anti-NaruHina fans would just face the facts and accept that Hinata loves Naruto. They can still hate the pairing, but at least get a reality check.

[And the right way.]

Speaking of the “Naruto opens up to Hinata scene” ... (Episode 59. Or Chapter 98)

Naruto: Thanks Hinata. I was feeling uncharacteristically depressed... but now, I feel great!

Naruto: A person like you, I really like! (Or in the anime he states “I like people like you.”)

These are direct quotes from the manga. This is development for NaruHina. Again, Kishi didn't have to include this NaruHina interaction. But he did.

The theme: "People accepting other people" - Naruto accepts Hinata to be strong, and ends up falling in love with her. Makes sense. Sakura already accepted Naruto so basically.. that's done.

IF NaruHina doesn't happen then I'm sure Hinata's feelings will be resolved some other way. A way in which everyone will be happy.

Hinata could lose her feelings. But seriously... I DOUBT that. Her whole character (for the most part) from the start was based on Naruto. Why change that now? That would be a waste for the development in part 1.

If someone were to go against me on that and claim why Kishi gave Naruto feelings for Sakura... Then look at it this way:

Naruto in the beginning really only sought acknowledgment. Not romance. He alone didn't even know why he liked Sakura until SHE told him what she wanted. He realized he 'liked' her because she was the same as him. Well guess what? Hinata seeks acknowledgment as well. Sakura's rejecting Naruto and punching him was the comedy. Not Hinata fainting/blushing. That was real.

Why is there so much NaruHina in fillers? I heard that the fillers are supposed to follow the manga and what direction it's headed in. The animators must know Kishi's secrets. Interesting... Why would the fillers have so much NaruHina..JUST to have NaruSaku or something else happen? Perhaps the fillers are not just a fan service. Maybe he wants Naruto and Hinata to interact more to rise the fandom? It's possible.

Here's anti-NaruHina reasons that I can not stand. So I will counter.

“Hinata is not the heroine, therefore she cannot possibly have a chance with Naruto!”

That argument just makes anti-NaruHina's look a bit stupid. If THAT'S the only reason why NaruHina can't happen... then... I think they need to re-read the manga. Naruto isn't a "typical" shounen manga. We all know it's different and unique. Not all shounen mangas end with main guy x main girl. Digimon didn't. Dragonball didn't. I guess the way we get sick of the main guy x main girl argument.. is how they get sick of the "Goku/ChiChi" argument. (Though it makes more sense since Kishi is a fan of Dragonball...And the manga already has like... 5 million similarities to Dragonball already.) Plus Goku/ChiChi is the same as NaruHina. ChiChi waited about 10 years for Goku to notice her.

“They have little interaction!”

So? There have been pairs that had little interaction before and still ended up together. (ie – Goku/ChiChi, Matt/Sora, etc) Little interaction...but when they do interact, it has deep purpose.

Remember: Interaction doesn't matter in anime. It's the character's feelings that do.

“Hinata can be strong without Naruto!”

She might be, yes. But who the hell was the one who inspired her? NARUTO. Who is her character basically based on? NARUTO. Who does she look up to? NARUTO. Hinata could become the head of the Hyuuga, become strong, get accepted by her father and the Hyuuga clan, and with that her development could be resolved... But not her feelings.

“Naruto can't be with Hinata! Her father and the clan won't allow it!”

Oh how I love this one. Another example of a foreshadow may be when Naruto versed Neji. Before he wins, he says "After I become Hokage, I'll change Hyuuga!" That can be used against people who say NaruHina won't happen because her clan/father won't allow it. A Hokage is a Hokage and he/she can change what ever they want. Naruto become Hokage? Goal from the beginning? To get everyone to acknowledge his existence? That is correct.

You want more? Neji is part of the Hyuuga and he says in 238 to Hinata “I heard that Naruto's leaving the village today for his training, but shouldn't you see him off?” ....Neji knows. He supports it. It's obvious.

More? A theme for Naruto is the “breaking away from traditions” or something like that. Something about making it better. Welp... Hyuuga is an excellent example.

Then we have Kiba. He should know Hinata very well, considering they are team mates.

Chap. 238

“Hinata already went out of concern for him! But when she saw him all bandaged up, she almost fainted...”

Chap 282 [When Hinata sees Naruto again for the first time]

“Why do you always faint around Naruto!?”

...She fainted ONCE in the manga and that was that exact chapter. So “always”? What? Sure she studdered and ALMOST fainted while being around Naruto but she never did until that chapter. Unless you count fillers. She faints in those. ...Oh fillers, huh? But they don't count, right? Or do they?

Next:

“She's always watching you.” - Haruno Sakura

So Sakura knows, too? It's not confirmed she knows about the crush, but she definitely has some knowledge of Hinata's feelings towards Naruto. Yes... I think it's fair to assume that Sakura knows about Hinatas feelings, so it would be... very kitteny if she would try to gain Naruto's love for herself... if she loves him that is.

Let's look at the databook. Hinata's 2nd databook profile:

Hinata, always feeling the same towards Naruto. Will the day come when she can face him directly?

Hinata passively gave in to everything, but with the support of Naruto's
cheering, she had a fierce battle with Neji, and matured greatly. There is still
a lot of her that is not sufficient as the child of the Hyuuga Main House, but
indomitable strength is added to her original pure heart, and little by little,
but steadily, Hinata progresses ahead... She wishes that she could move even one step closer towards the back of Naruto, her idol...

Mhmm... “Will the day come when she can face him directly?” - That's basically a rhetorical question in my opinion. For example:

Chapter 282: Hinata in her mind thinks:

“Naruto-kun.. I heard he was back in the village, but...”

“What do I do?”
“My feelings.. I'm still not ready...”

And the suffix around her means “heart beat.”

Next: Rough draft of Hinata. This is the drawing of Hinata that Kishimoto gave the editors. IT IS NOT FANART.

http://s2.supload.co...t=example01.jpg

Who is in the backround? NARUTO. What else is there? A sun. I know Hinata means sun or sunlight, but does it mean something more? Let's make a comparison...

Chapter 297 (cover with Hinata, same chapter that Sakura LIED to Naruto as well.) - “Guided by a golden light, now she's walking out in the sun!” Maybe this “Golden light” is Naruto?

Now lets look at Kishimoto's interviews:

SJ: Has there been anything you've wanted to do in the manga you haven't put in yet?
MK: As ideas come to me, I try to include them. With the volumes of Naruto manga I've put out so far, I've already done most of the things I wanted to do. So now I'm trying to figure out what to do next. Well, I haven't really written about romantic relationships...

Again.. Interaction doesn't matter.

"I want to put in romance that I wasn't able to..." - So he created a base for them in part 1?
not
"I want to put in romance that I didn't want to..." - So now he can create romance from scratch...?

Kishimoto lets us know that Hinata has been the one watching/acknowledging/admiring/loving Naruto the most, and for the longest time. Just because the girl didn't tell him doesn't mean that her feelings for him are any less valid.

SJ: Oda-sensei says he knows how One Piece will end---do you know how Naruto will end?
MK: Yes, I have the last episode clearly drawn in my mind. I've already decided on the layout, text, and scenes. Not just the story ideas, but the visual ideas are solid.
All I have to do is just head toward the ending I have, but there are still so many things that need to be resolved before reaching that point. Maybe I have thrown in too many ideas, so I need to wrap them up neatly.

So many things still need to be resolved before reaching the ending he has? Well in that case... Hinata's feelings will be resolved. If not, then there's an example of a bad writer.

Moving on...

NaruHina Proofs?

-Hinata's development was started by Naruto... it's logical that it will be ended by him too.

-Theme: "believe in yourself" will be hard to add if Naruto will reject Hinata for Sakura.

-Kishi said that he throw in too many ideas and said that he must resolve many issues before the end. ... Hinata's feelings must be resolved.

-It was easier to make Hinata drop her feelings post-time. Did he drop them? Nope. He strengthened them.

-Hinata was one of the first people to see Naruto for who he is. He has an impact on her heart.

-All the development between them in part 1 was cut in half. It means that Kishi didn't want them to be together in part 1... or that he was forced to stop it before it has grown into real relationship. "Wasn't able too..." proves that he was forced to.

-In chapter 172 Kishi has showed that Naruto accepted Sakura's feelings for Sasuke. It would be very... inconsistent if he would pair NaruSaku after that.

-Her character is based on self-confidence. Kishi has hinted that he wants Hinata to confess. This might be her test... I don't think Naruto would reject her. That's my opinion.

-Naruto's just dense... He's already done romantic things for Hinata.... running to her side before she falls unconscious after her fight with Neji when he didn't need to, swearing in her blood to defeat Neji, encouraging her during her fight, searching for her after he beat Neji, shedding his mask in front of her, beating her cousin for her, telling her he likes people like her... (I think I'm missing some). But they've all been subconscious actions.

I would actually rant more.. but here's how I started to like them:

So...there's my two cents. biggrin.gif

Just thought I should say this... Sorry if I sounded kind of harsh. I really do respect other people's opinions so hopefully you'll respect mine. This essay was based on my views so hopefully I didn't offend anyone. And if I did, I apologize. If it seemed like I bashed NaruSaku, sorry, I didn't mean to. That pair interferes with NaruHina so I used them as an example. We all have our own opinions in which I had just expressed mine. Just want to be on good terms, okies? happy.gif

(And that was what I posted on LJ. Its pretty there then here since I cant use italics or bold.)

To me the Chuunin exams is NOT to show Naruto loves Hinata. No way. But it was to provide a BASE for NaruHina development later on. Then again, that's my view.

There. So can more people help me and the NAruSaku fans on the forum?
I only ask for you to notice me.

^^Wow... That person was really passionate about Naru/Hina, huh? Too bad most of that Naru/Hina argument can also be attributed to Naru/Saku too.
(Try it, replace the names of Hinata and Naruto to Naruto and Sakura respectively.)
Someone should do a Team 7 comparison to the Legendary 3. When the opposing side acknowledges it and claims that Tsunade and Jiraiya aren't together, link them to the Legend of the Gallant Jiraiya. (They are married in that Legend they were based on)

Anyway, I'd debate but I'm terrible at it. Not coherent enough apparently.

Is that the "pro-NaruHina but mostly anti-NaruSaku, even though I deny it's anti-NaruSaku!" essay Darkhope posted to Chuunin that got Fandom w***ed? 'Cause if so, Mizura already ripped it into little tiny pieces with her counter-debate. There isn't anything I could say that she didn't already touch on. (I think the original post was deleted, though.)

This stood out, though:

So many things still need to be resolved before reaching the ending he has? Well in that case... Hinata's feelings will be resolved. If not, then there's an example of a bad writer.

It's funny how they automatically assume Hinata's "feelings" will be resolved by having Naruto suddenly declare himself in love with her. First off they make the assumption her feelings are romantic in nature (again, not according to the databook); and secondly, they imply that Hinata's feelings are somehow more significant than Naruto's--a sentiment that runs rampant among NaruHinas and Hinatards in general. Uh, news flash, dudes? It's called "Naruto." Not "The Unrequited Fancies of Hyuuga Hinata." Deal with it. And last I checked, Naruto STILL maintained an interest in Sakura.

And, er, shoot me if this makes TOO much sense, but Hinata's "feelings" could always be resolved by having her, you know, get over them? Awarding her as consolation prize to a character who has shown no kind of significant interest in her whatsoever after 313 chapters smacks of...hm, what's that? Oh yes, a bad writer.

"I want to put in romance that I didn't want to..." - So now he can create romance from scratch...?

When was NaruSaku created from scratch? There has been steady development since the beginning and though it wasn't the biggest thing in the world in Part One, Kishi started to build on it much more in Part 2.

And they also don't realize they can be resolved by Hinata getting over them and becoming friends with Naruto or going with somebody else.
