Not only because of Ash x Serena being *the* closest we ever truly got, or possibly will get, for an actual pairing, but also because...well...it's how the series has always been in "resetting" Ash to almost zero every season. They'll tease moments throughout the series until the end with nothing actually becoming of it.

To have Ash in any sort of actual relationship, winning leagues, and so on would mean having to have him actually grow and develop as a person and Trainer and staying that way, which would mean that they would have to have Ash start actually aging and growing up, which would mean that Ash would eventually no longer be the relatable "kid" for Pokemon's demographic (children up to ten years old), and thus they would eventually have to find a new main character with a new Pokemon mascot to fill that slot which would more than likely not go over well with much of a fanbase.

 

Yeah I know, that's why I have NO expectations in that regard (shipping and winning leagues)

Yeah, let's try to steer this thread back to the Naruto anime.... 

Let's see. The anime is going to be about Boruto's days in the academy, which means it will basically be filler that doesn't advance the plot. Which will actually happen in the manga. They wasted ten months faffing about by putting the Boruto movie into manga form. This means that they are not doing what we were guessing that they would do; copy Dragonball Super by having the anime be canon while the manga follows along just filling up plot holes as they go. Instead the manga will be canon with it already spoiling the plot on the first page with; Bolt destine to become the chosen one who does battle with his "not gay" rival Nail over the future of the world. While the anime will be a light hearted slice of life that focuses on Bolt's daddy issues once again, despite the fact that even their supporters of the ending are sick of that particular story arc by this point. Especially since the anime will be wasting it viewers' time since we have already seen the resolution to the daddy issue plot. They have replaced the main writer and director with people that were never involved in Naruto, though the anime team animators and artist that were supporter of Hinata are still on board.

I haven't watched that series. But besides Naruto I watched Tokyo Ghoul and Twin Stars. And lets not forget their infamous animation of iirc of S2 of Legend of Korra!

Literately everything they touch they ruin. That studio has outlived it's usefulness a long long time ago!

I've been calling him that for awhile. I forgot his name and could be bother to look or remember it, even in the first chapter. The other kids by that point I have already called them by what their names translated into since they were English words japaneseized ie Boruto=Bolt, and Sarada=Salad. Or other nicknames when they weren't that such as fat filler for chou chou, and the daughter for nH's daughter. So when doing the summary I just went what an object similar but different to "bolt" since he is obviously Bolt's Sasuke. So "Nail," his name is kawaki I think which translates into dryness. Also most of you probably seen Dragonball abridge. So when people read it I hope they get a small chuckle from imaging Spuer Kami Guru saying it.

Ok I never knew why you called him that now I know plus so far this kid seems forgettable but I do like that dbza reference.like who ever this kid works for he's a tool like abridged nail. Hope bolt gets his ass kicked. I'm more interested in sarada to see how she shows how she's not like her father. One thing sakura did right as a mom aside from lying to her that sasuke cares about them when he doesn't.

I was going to say yes, but we follow them for the training, not lessons. I don't know why this route. It's like it wants to be something that is popular.

There were a few filler that had them set in the academy days. Though at least those flesh out Naruto isolation from the rest of the village sometimes. Like the filler after the pain arc. For now as far as we know Boruto will be just Bolt's days at the academy. Which means more banging on about his daddy issues, that everyone is sick of.

 

Wedding next week everyone. Does anyone know how to write that news in a way to express a complete lack of interest, joy, or passion?

 

This week Shizune and Kakashi go over the gifts that everyone has been getting for nH, which were paid by government money.

 

Hinata see Kakashi while he wanders around the village in thought, and nothing happens in that scene.

 

Iruka and Konohamaru are joking around what Iruka going to say at the wedding.

 

The girls gather around to talk about the wedding...I give up.

 

Skipping through rest of episode.: Gaara comes and Iruka figures out what he wants to say by talking with Hinata (guessing).
