The only thing in my mind is "You can't let Naruto have anything nice, can you? He wanted Sakura, she goes with Sasuke. He wanted to bring Sasuke back, Sasuke leaves for 15 years or more. He wanted to be Hokage, you have to ruin it by making his own daughter kick his ass."

Nothing was done in Naruto's favor and he basically became, like Sakura, the whipping boy and huge joke of the series. I am just utterly even more disgusted more by it when you have some fans be like "Well, he became Hokage and you should be happy for that." No, he didn't become Hokage. He became a joke. The position became a joke, the ceremony became a joke, everything became one huge massive joke because Hinata and her daughter had to reign supreme above all else.

It really comes to this...if you like the ending then you really are nothing more than either pairing fanboy or a Hinata fanboy who is easily amused by pieces of candy here and there.

(I know this is truly impossible but I'm rolling with it) Why a sibling argument over a stuff bear of coarse. Whelp, Kishimoto has proven that the rules change when the story needs them to change. Look at how many times the sharingan rules were broken.

That's how you know you are a bad writer...when you can;t even keep your own world rules constant and always changing you want it both ways. You don't want Sasuke to be a murderer, but you want him to suffer the lose of itachi. How to do this? Make Itachi die, and Sasuke suffer the lost anyway by changing the rules of sharingan to only be a "great lose."

Seriously, the Uchiha have probably the worst backwards ass logic I have ever seen. Given how mjuch Sakura and Naruto have suffered and lost, maybe they should have unlocked the Rinnegan by now because...why not, right?

True I mean one it shows Kishi hates Naruto and Sakura a lot and is so in love with Sasuke I mean think about he did this to Naruto as he knew his lover Sasuke couldn't get anything,

 

This is why I hate Naruto now and stick to making fanfics, and if I ever meet Kishi I would have to punch him in the face for all he has done and all he keeps saying as well I mean someone needs to do it even if I was his older brother I would punch him in the face and then cut all ties with him.

That's exactly what I feel too, James. I also think that there's only one phrase that fits Masashi Kishimoto for making his hero and heroine the butt of the joke just to please his favoritism for Sasuke and his fans (or the fanatics') favoritism for Hinata; "You're just comprised of FAIL, aren't you?"

 

I agree with this and James' point. For the titular character, Naruto never seems to have his moments spotlighted. It's really staggering when you think about it. Sasuke and Sakura appear to learn a lot during the time jump. Naruto learns.... not much? Naruto's dreams are achieved, sorta, and we never really get to see him celebrate that. Most of the others get stronger by the start of part two...Naruto barely progresses.

The Uchiha Clan gets all this talk, background, rule breaking, Sharingan hax, etc....Uzumaki Clan is only mentioned in passing and only used when convenient ala the convenient-as-hell Shinigami Mask in a shop that nobody ever seemed to  notice before, and not learning a thing about Minato's background.

Others get let off....Naruto gets scolded.

...and so on.

And yeah, Naruto still being shown as not seeming to have truly learned anything about the world and reality as a whole is only further showing of how the manga was never truly about him. Like, I was cheering inside when I saw Ay just blowing off Naruto's pathetic begging attempt and was hoping that it would be (another) wake up slap from reality...but nope...

 

Not to say that Naruto should have to become a total 180 of himself, but he should still also have learned that things won't always go his way (talking not solving everything), that he will lose with those moments at time, that not everyone can/will/wants to be "saved", and learn to actually end up in situations where he's forced to make the hard choices. It's why I believe that if Naruto and Hinata were ever in a position like Minato and Kushina were with Kurama, I highly doubt Naruto and Hinata would ever be willing to sacrifice Boruto and/or Himawari, even if it meant saving countless other people and if there was absolutely no other (convenient) alternative for them. At best, they would fruitlessly try to find that alternative and end up failing everyone, or at worst, actually abandon those countless other people to their fate just to save Boruto and Himawari.

The Naruto we have now is someone I would never want as my leader. I wouldn't be surprised if the only reason he hasn't been reduced to a figurehead puppet for others to play like a fiddle (like those who probably pushed the whole technology bit only had to make it sound "cool" to Naruto and have him approve it) is Shikamaru being by his side to keep a leash on him.

I wouldn't go as far to say that Naruto didn't want kids, in Road to Ninja, Naruto certainly wanted a family (whether it be just having his parents or having a family of his own) so having a family is something that he might have wanted. But both of Naruto's kids are so one-dimensional to the point of being forgettable. While we don't really know enough about Naruto's daughter since she has only appeared in this one-shot but Bolt seems to be just a mixture of Naruto and Sasuke, being able to perform the Rasengan, and combine it with an elemental release at such a young age is really annoying because it flies in the face of one of the major themes that Naruto spouted about in the manga, hard work. But then again, with how the manga ended, it doesn't matter how long and hard you work, you will never be as good as those who are born under special circumstance.

by biological family i ment having kids of his own. regardless, he cared about becoming hokage more. however

 

1. he didn't by getting everyones trust. more like because kakashi picked him. the main reason why he wanted to become hokage was to be respected which he got after the pein arc.

2. i doubt he cared that much about changing the world. plus that is just glossed over simply because kishi bit off more than he could chew.

3. he still missed his ceremony thanks to those brats. thanks for hinata being a crappy supporting wife who should have gotten him up herself

4. he's the most useless hokage ever. the aftermath after the battle royal with madara and obito was handled by kakashi. all naruto does is do who  knows what on his laptop eating cups of ramen and drinking alchohal while neglecting his wifes food. even the president of the united states isn't THAT busy and he still spends time with his family.

5. naruto neglects his family naruto even has shadow clones so he has NO excuse. yet now its retconned he does use clones yet thats now suddenly RUDE?! get out of here people!

You can clearly see from Road To Ninja that Naruto craved a family. But not with the woman he ended up with.

Maybe in some highly convoluted way Kishimoto is actually writing these couples perfectly as they wouldn't even work in real life either... Or maybe it's just a coincidence and I'm making excuses. Either way I'm sure the non-pairing glasses fans aren't exactly enjoying the portrayal of their so called perfect couple. I love the excuses for every dysfunctional moment like something major is gonna change at any moment
