That's two out of a zig million heroes. I know one of them is badass (Tornado), but that doesn't compensate for the underrepresentation of women in One-Punch Man in my eyes.

I don't think it will change the amount of female hero.
The quality of a manga doesn't determine by how much certain gender in that manga.
Be glad that the author doesn't make female character for the sole purpose of baby maker and love interest. Or else you will get harem manga or naruto.

That's true. Of course, the characters are first and foremost important. But what reason is there to not include more women in there?

A valid point there. Like they say, if you're going to write women, do it justice, otherwise, don't write them at all.

I haven't read it yet but maybe characters has a punchline to it for the protagonist. After all, he seems Godly. Can't lose so he got fed up. Come on.

Tbh, I have no idea, since I never see the author(ONE) interview or if he has make an interview or author note.

I think that's because this is shonen battle manga(webcomic).
So the male character gonna outnumber the female character.

I understand how you feel. It's like asking to add male character in mahou shojo genre when the manga/anime only has 1 or 2 prominent male character. Perhaps the other reason is it not necessary for the story to add more female characters.

Ch.57 on webcomic, lol. I'm so behind XD What I do like though is that rivalry relationship b/w the two sisters. Interesting dynamic.

Mahou Shoujo? Imao, that's an interesting comparison. Tbh, the true problem with the anime in my eyes was that the MC didn't do anything for 12 kittening episodes... Adding a few more male characters would have been nice.
